  1. Willie Miller suggesting he could be replaced at half time to reduce risk. Sounds sensible to me.
  2. What's your prediction for the remaining games bonny? Yeah, I'm now your groupie
  3. Some of these folks coming to a theatre near you later this year...
  4. A few versions out there TWC. Hope you approve... That led me to this...
  5. I had to check Kazakhstan's climate there. Extremes of something like -54C winter to +46C summer in some parts. Take your pick
  6. I don't remember anyone posting this. Cause it's baws? Cause it's just 80's shite? Dunno, but always stuck in my head like a subuteo kit I must have. aaaaaaargh!
  7. Sounded like someone was out of tune there. Turns out I'm right WTFlying Microtonal Bananas!
  8. There was no "Scottish League" in WW2. Rangers won all the "Southern League" competitions held in its place. Usually Aberdeen, Dundee and for some reason Rangers'A' played in the "North Eastern League". Reason for no Scottish league I suppose, to reduce travel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1940–41_in_Scottish_football I've just seen there that Scotland played England in games that are off the record too.
  9. This is bugging me now. I know the rhythmic part is very similar to the 2nd half of Folklore by Opeth, but I'm sure it's older. What does it come from? I've always thought I'd heard it on an old TV program or something. Maybe just Opeth haunting me again. I'd normally post the live Moshcam version, but the bit I'm talking about (5 mins in) is further to the front in the studio version here...
  10. A certain Charles Kennedy, as president of the GU students' union dragged the place into the modern age by campaigning to allow ladies into the GUU. In debate, I'm sure young Charles used coherent persuasive argument, but I only remember his opposite number shouting, "Yer all just a bunch of cli**y lickers!" Back to trad pubs, I'm sure I've been in some that had no ladies toilet (not sure why I was looking for one), such as Skelton's at Hamilton's bottom cross. I'm not as old as you think though. I was probably under age
  11. So many tunes on here, I know not what hast past before... Oanyhoo, if missed... Go on. Find the place pasted before
  12. Or not banged on about? http://derekbateman.scot/2017/07/04/the-day-job/
  13. Oooooo looking forward to this
  14. Maq, Jen mentioned West which could be a bit too much of a trek, but plenty city centre boozers sell their St Mungo or other draughts, and well worth a taste if you're not familiar with Glasgow's own German microbrew. Likewise Hyndland is off topic, but for Jen (keep off the American ones... )... http://www.cottiers.com/uploaded/2011/03/Cottiers-Beer-List-Updated.pdf Those are just for softies though. Can't see any Malheur Douze. Been meaning to check them out for a while. Think somebody mentioned the place on here.
  15. Jen, you remind me from somebody from work on our Paisley Beer Festival pilgrimage. Asked for Tennants Luckily he found the cider stall...
  16. F'kin embarrassing. Hope nobody's laughing that supports a team that finished below them last year. Tsk, tsk.
  17. Typically you may only have (208 x 1) + (306 x 0.9) + (430 x 0.8) + (581 x 0.7) = 1234 taking tickets in front of you. Including harvesters
  18. Remember when we had frequent Saturday 5pm games? The Courtyard was part of our routine. A pint or two and soup and a sandwich. The red haired chef made an amazin' wee lunch for us. I wonder where he went, and what he could knock up other than soup and sandwiches, but bet they were gooooood
  19. Aye, the Lithuanian allocation is generous, so on 5pts I may not be a shoe in after all. Hope you folks are right!
