  1. An update if going via France, and will apply to all vehicles I presume... We just read in a Moho club magazine that France are starting to introduce numberplate recognition for some toll roads instead of payment booths. For example, on the A4 near the German border. The onus is on the vehicle owner to register it at autoroutes.sanef.com/en .
  2. We didn't by the 5-match package as turn 65 during this year. (That was really hard to type 😄 ) So bought games individually, with later ones as concessions. The SSC has our d.o.b.s, and purchasing that way seemed fine.
  3. Thanks @P4ULY. Not taking my old moho, but filed for future reference. I've only glanced at a few parts, but learned a few things already.
  4. @Squirrelhumper You done any of the jaggy ones next door? I never got around to them.
  5. In case you didn't open Ally's link above? The CPS in England & Wales boast...
  6. Ach, even my late mother-in-law bagged one Munro. We did go 99% of the way up in a chairlift at The Lecht mind you.
  7. Certainly was, thanks. The comments too!!! As an aside, one of the commentors was an old poster on here, ChicMac. Glad to see him still taking an interest. He got abuse on here for being only interested in politics. I remember him with interest since, before discovering this place, he was an ex. colleague. Back in the day, even though I was 100% SNP, I thought he was a bit OTT. Nowadays I know he was spot on, and he still give some practical advice in the comments. Another guy I used to work with was also correct however. Solid Rangers supporter, his only argument to me was that they [the British establishment] wouldn't allow it [independence].
  8. I second that. You seem to have your head screwed on. You'll want to delete all your old harvesting posts though before the press dig those up.
  9. You'll have to go back some sunny day. Views are great. Last Munro I did was Ben Hope. Expected cracking views, but it had a cloud on top that refused to disperse. A long way back there.
  10. Grim Jim

    New jersey

Mrs Grim got one for me. The number of blue & white hoops is different.
  11. I have a slight worry that the Dutch turned up for a friendly (like us vs N.Ireland), and we caught them by surprise a little.
  12. Hamish Husband endorses new tartan plant for the Euros. Developed at the Cardwell Garden Centre, hundreds will be planted in the Englisher Garten, Munich.
  13. ...wee bit of theramin in there to shiver your creepy bone.
  14. I was going to say Diego Maradona, but have Napoli and Lazio mixed up. A punchline only 140 miles out is pretty good for me!
  15. I'm a f'kin atheist. Heaven help me if I ever ran for office. Are we after the gammon vote or what? They have to be the BNP? The Beige National Party. Sorry but ma knittin' is now ripped 🕊️
  16. Disappointed of course, but Norway were much stronger in '98 than now (undefeated in qualifying, though in a weak group as top seeds). Again a draw for us was punching above. I was mightily pissed off at a Craig Brown interview before the Morocco game though, in which he sounded as if 3 points were in the bag. You'd have loved his positivity 😋 As an old guy I go now with hope rather than expectation now for the good of my health 😄
  17. For a neutral take on expectations, I took a look at ELO ratings. They have us out of the picture vs Germany, but close behind Switzerland & Hungary. So any more than 2 points in the group and we are punching above.
  18. Me too 👴 Morocco were certainly no mugs. This was a generation after the Zaire game and other African teams were getting out the groups.
  19. Nah, he can take players recovering from injuries, but who will be fit for the later stages.
  20. Not camping myself, but just wondering if they have an 11pm noise curfew and we get out the group 😄
  21. Minor point, but they did intervene at half time. Stewards were placed to maintain segregation between them and the lower south stand, so keeping those taunting back. Re. national anthems, I had to watch the timing wee lass signing ours so I knew when to sing, as I couldn't hear a thing for the baying NI mob.
