  1. Does anyone know how it works with pricing for these games? Seen a few posts saying that it's set by UEFA and the SFA / other bodies have no say in it - is this the case or are people getting mixed up with the prices for the Finals games?
  2. Ayr have 3 starters away with Scotland u21's that weekend and will also make a few other changes I think so wouldn't be surprised to see Wrexham beat us. As for the competition itself, i'm mainly just bitter that after a couple of years of praying for a boozy away trip to one of the non Scottish teams, we finally get one and i'm flying away on holiday the same day so canny go!
  3. For the first time that i can ever recall Ayr Utd have had to get a game postponed due to having 3 players in the u21 squad. Morton also had McCrorie called up too albeit he isn't listed as a Morton player on the squad list for some reason. I watched the Morton v Ayr game (0-0) a few weeks ago and both keepers looked impressive.
  4. Ayr had a striker called Andrew Ferguson around that time who would fit in age wise (born 1985) - no idea if it was the same guy though. Left to go to Dundee. Wiki tells me he went on to play for Clyde, Alloa, Stenny, Airdrie after that and currently plays for Arthurlie. Can't recall any other Fergusons at Ayr around that time so have to assume it's same one.
  5. Not a senior squad player, but under 21 keeper Ross Doohan has now had 11 clean sheets in his 19 games on loan at Ayr - looks a fantastic prospect and is getting better every time I see him - I believe has recently signed a 4 year extension at Celtic as well.

    Tickets

I bought mine for Albania game on Monday afternoon, paid £2 or whatever for the postage and they arrived yesterday - good service for me, but doesn't seem right that others are still waiting having bought the package ages ago..
  7. Replaced by Daniel Harvie, fresh off the back of his 2nd successive sending off in the league, this time for throwing the ball at an opponent in a 5-0 defeat! To be fair he has been excellent since coming in, other than those two games
  8. I've been very impressed with Doohan. Looks confident, has made some good saves and has pretty good distribution from what i've seen. He has played 8 games and is still to concede a goal from open play - let in a direct free kick 15 or so mins in to his Debut against Morton and hasn't conceded a goal since - a clean sheet on Saturday against Dunfermline would make him the joint club record holder for consecutive clean sheets, going back to the 1920's I think. Certainly seems well ahead of Ruddy who was here last season.
  9. Not a senior team player, but Ross Doohan who was one of the two keepers for the u21's in Toulon has signed a season long loan at Ayr Utd. He will definitely be starting the season as first choice keeper so will be interesting to see how he does.
  10. re: the England game, I got tickets for Wembley through the Travel Club having never applied for an away game before. Not a chance that would happen now.
  11. Paper yesterday and a couple of journo's have McCrorie linked with a seasons loan to Ayr.
  12. Alloa v Ayr Utd is live on BBC Alba on Sunday 22nd, 4.10 pm kick off. Depending on the Stranraer v Raith Rovers result on Saturday it could see Ayr clinch the League 1 title, or could see Raith sitting a point clear with 1 game to go.
  13. Oliver Burke scored for West Brom u23's or whatever age group it is against Coventry in that EFL Trophy last night. Hopefully be back fully fit soon - strange he isn't involved for the u21s as well this week.
  14. Yeah i just got 4 in P3 of South Lower. Lassie on phone said rest of South Lower towards the middle already sold out. Row Q was highest up i could get.
  15. I'm a bit confused - is this the public sale that is now on? This is my first campaign out of the supporters club and always had someone else booking the tickets as part of a group in previous years.
  16. From one's we had at our speakers nights: John Gaghan was excellent i thought. Craig Brown was OK. Chick Charnley was dreadful i thought, as was Bill McMurdo (although those 2 were on the same bill and some of the crowd seemed to lap them up - Charnley's entire spiel seemed to be along the lines of 'ma mate in Possil wiz a Gers man so ah cawwd him Atilla'). Kenny Clark was actually quite good. Also had a guy who's name completely escapes me, was a former athlete who also had some connection to Dunfermline / Jim Leishman and was now a golfer - he was pretty good too.

    Under 16s

    What was the line up?
  18. Looking for any advice - wee nephew (12 yr old) is looking for a Scotland hoodie. Doesn't even need to be the national team as such, just has to be dark blue. Any suggestions as to where to get one? Finding it surprisingly hard online.
  19. Glasgow - London - Malta on the Thursday morning and Malta - London - Glasgow on the Monday morning, with BA and Air Malta. Flight home is first thing in the morning after the game though which isnt ideal.
  20. Not an easy place if you missed the early deals i dont think - finally booked up a couple of weeks ago and paid £330 or so for Thursday - Monday via London, both flights very early in the morning.
  21. Forrest doesn't always hit the first man to be fair. He sometimes skellys it about 10 yards too long and it eventually runs out for a throw. Or even straight out for a goal kick. Versatile.
  22. D Fletcher is a strange one - everyone seems to be of the opinion that he is done and it's time to move on - yet he seems to be on great form for his club - possibly the best and most consistent he has been for years. I'd have him starting ahead of Brown any day of the week still.
