I disagree with his views on EU and he hasn't got the first clue about Scotland . In the absence of Independence , would like to see a Labour/SNP loose coalition as per the Tory/DUP former one. For me Corbyn represents a threat to the Establishment - there need to be a wholesale reorganisation of the tax regime and crackdown on tax avoidance/evasion and also break down the Establishment protectionism re child abuse. The Welfare State needs to come back to being exactly that and get rid of benefit sanctions, bedroom tax and the harsh reality of Universal Credit. Putting resources into benefit fraud is a complete waste of time - its a media enhanced myth re the amount of benefit fraud. Most folk on benefits absolutely skint and more than likely pensioners without a private pension.

Coldest for me was Amsterdam in 2009. Went for a pish and couldnae find it. Didnt realuse I was still a bloke till a couple of days later.

If anyone else missed their connection and like me got sent to Munich and ended up more than 3 hours late...eu compensation rules equals 400 euros. Got mine without any fuss from Austrian Airlines.

Loved the trip. Highlight was going up mount dajti on the cable car with the rwvolving bar..alpine restaurant and freezin ma nuts off on the crazy golf up there. Found the Albanian people very friendly ..constant car horns and waving and requests for photos. Great fun on way back with flights delayed and not allowed on connection with Austrian Airlines..unexpected wee night in Munich hotel near airport and chossing my flight back to uk next day.

When we missed the flight from Vienna to London , the Austrian Airlines service desk was adamant that those of receiving e-mails sending us to Munich first had no other options - their only obligation was getting us to London. However when the Munich flight was also delayed , the next Service Desk operator was totally different - I was offered a flight the next day and a night in Vienna hotel - but since rest of guys were going Munich first decided to see what happened. When we missed the Munich to London flight - it then became the Lufthansa service desk and they gave us 20 euro voucher for use in Airport, taxi to hotel , and we could pick our destination the next day -so I went to Manchester instead of London. Only job left now is to see if Austrian Airlines offer the standard EU compensation of 400 euros for a 3 hour delay of over 1500km. Vienna airport to Heathrow is 1533 km . If less than that comp is 300 euros. Just have to see how keen Austrian Airlines are with awarding that.

Austrian Airlines back from Tirana today. 20 mins late leavin Tirana..got to Vienna but they closed the gates for London flight Most of us rerouted to Munich then London.next thing 50 mins delay on Munich flight. Got to Munich at same time as connecting flight due to take off. Woman who met 14 of us off plane saying plBe was held for us. Next thing immigaration pòlics telt her to fuck off.they were finished for night. Took us vis shuttle to anothet immigation bit..then we got to gate and plane had fucked off. So night in hotel near Munich..taxi and hotel shuttle involved. Got flight back to Manchester instead of London in morning. Good crack if ye urny in a hurry. Bit of compo surely in the offinfn

Ive only got hand luggage so if first plane late no need to hold back second plane for me. Ill take a hotel in Vienna ..300 euros comp and fly the next day lol

I was in Athens for 2 nights on way back from Israel. Went to the Wee Dram both nights..cool pub with great beers .owner Ross fae Edinburgh ..its 3 or 4 stops from Syntagma centre on underground. Sports bar was good as well.

Played my 100th course of the year at Royal St Davids in Harlech. Great value at 37.50 for a championship course. Cant see the sea for the sand dunes unless you climb the ladder at 16th tee but a fantastic setting with Harlech Castle dominating the course and Snowdonia in thr background. I found it really hard due to the length of the holes not being a big hitter. Last 9 holes tremendous.

Id get a taxi in that case - online says its anything from 60 to 90 Turkish Lira - 8 to 11 quid roughly.

There's 2 airports - Ataturk and Sabiha Gokchen - Ive only been at Sabiha - its about an hour on the bus to Taksim Square - roughly 2 quid -they run every half hour but seems to be a break in the wee small hours - they are called Havabus - right outside airport but no tickets you just have to pile on the bus. Reading online taxi normally about 120TL which is about 15 quid - traffic is mental though. The other airport Ataturk is closer -same bus company Havabus says it takes around 40 mins.

I was in Istanbul for a couple of days on the way to Tel Aviv. Its a stunning city but obviously if you are there in middle of night not so visible. Sultanahmet is something else and Taksim as well are main touristy bits - lots of restaurants but not many bars as such. I met McTeeko for a beer - shockingly expensive at £2 a pint - currency has been devalued and everything is dirt cheap. I did a lot of travelling on the different ferries across the Bosphorus as there are quite a few ports on the European and the Asian side.

I booked immediately the game was announced. I don't travel in kilt any more - too uncomfortable - I'll have one of my travel club shirts on so I'll look out for you at the bar. Getting train down day before but my daughter stays near Kingston in London - just a short bus trip to Heathrow from there.
