  1. Aye and he's he's scored 10 times the amount Stewart has done at the level they both current play at
  2. Don't really get the outright hate for McBurnie...yes, he has been a bit of a fud at times and yes he hasn't scored for his country yet, but we literally have strikers being named who have 5 goals at English Championship level as being undoubtedly a better option than him. McBurnie has scored 10 time the amount of goals as Ross Stewart (and I'm not dismissing Stewart at all, as I've liked him since his Ross County days) at Championship level or above. To point blank refuse to believe that McBurnie may be an option is baffling...but then it's the TAMB and there are umpteen folk on here that wouldn't know a fitba player if it kicked them in the mouth.
  3. Aye absolutely....different times indeed and the pay scale at Rangers would have been far closer to the giants of England and Europe at that time
  4. I'd have asked Danny McGrain out of retirement before that phud
  5. The fact that SOD has so many caps shows that he was vastly over rated...should never have been near a Scotland squad for being utterly hopeless
  6. Stephen O'Donnell...the luckiest man in world fitba
  7. That much of a sensation that he carries Scot Gemmills luggage about
  8. What you've described is a variation of the 5-3-2 that we currently play
  9. The result was bad enough, but the performance was worryingly bad
  10. Any of them ...Tierney starts, it's that simple
  11. Armenia are the worst team I've seen playing at this level, they were utterly woeful. At least the likes of San Marino, appear to have a game plan. While, the 3 Centre backs were fine, we can hardly say they were tested. Armstrong, Christie and McGinn were incredibly wasteful while Adams performance just screams out how badly we really need to find a decent striker. Ralston was the absolute stand out performer and has made a great case for keeping hold of the Jersey. How ROI got beat off that mob is an utter mystery
  12. Him and Campbell have the same amount of caps
  13. The wee Aberdeen lad was the best player in our colours...when we chucking caps at him, in your wee world??
  14. Bolt ya nugget...are you trying to suggest that there has never been an intimating atmosphere at Hampden in the past 4 decades? Shite
  15. The reaction towards a 19year old starting his 1st game and playing poorly is beyond belief considering... ...our strikers looked like they couldn't trap a bag of cement, our midfield 3 were lightweight and chasing shadows, our captain was every bit as poor as the young guy on the other side, and our two centre backs looked every bit the relegation haunted fodder that they are. The fact that we only looked semi-competent when McTominay went into midfield tells us all we need to know.
  16. Have you ever watched Campbell play?
  17. Jack isn't cut out for the top level either.
  18. You're missing the point that's being made, either because you don't understand or you are trying not to understand Clarke had an issue with Robbo and Tierney around how to get the both in the starting line-up...he came up with this 3-5-2 type of formation that we currently play, which allowed both to cover for one another on the left hand side both defensively and offensively. On the right he didn't have that luxury, but he wanted McTominay in the side and believed that his defensive attributes were good enough but also his 'range' of passing was ultimately miles ahead of any of our real centre backs...he didn't just want him to give it to Gilmour, he wanted him to be able to ping it to Adams, slide rule it to McGinn and switch play to the left...with the best will in the world, Hendry, Souttar etc are a huge drop off in that regard.
  19. Robert the Bruce switched sides more often...probably not scottish enough for you though
  20. ...and to think some people wanted him jettisoned because he didn't want to play for Scot Gemmill
