  1. Would love to see Armstrong in from the start driving at their defence, but I think it will be Christie he plays in a free-role just off Dykes. A bit worried it could be Burke if he feels Fraser's replacement needs to have rapid pace like him.

  5. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. He is a really nice guy and lent a lot of time!
  6. Been months since I was able to secure a former player to come on the show, but here's a good interview with Steven Caldwell this week about his Scotland career. 12 caps over a 10 year period, played for five different managers. Got off to a bad start with Walter Smith, and came to an unlikely arrangement with Craig Levein. Loads of admiration for Craig Brown.. but not so much for Burley. Also talks about his current job as Canada assistant and what's involved in that. Available on Apple, Spotify, and Google podcasts. https://open.spotify.com/episode/3QvKb7JGLZDSWoKrBNExN4?si=Bp8eXkpdTW-3zJOBVXYxIw

  16. Who should our next manager be? Ben Ramage and I debate the credentials of some of the names linked with the vacant Scotland manager position. Steve Clarke, Slaven Bilic, Scot Gemmill, Derek McInnes and David Moyes have all been mentioned. The clock is ticking with only six weeks until our double header against Cyprus and Belgium.. 18. Been tough trying to find a guest to come on in recent weeks, but Jackie McNamara wasn't shy! Called for McLeish to go and wants Steve Clarke in. Some really good insight to his Scotland career here as well. A tough professional relationship with Craig Brown, life under Vogts and play-off heartache. https://audioboom.com/posts/7235261-jackie-mcnamara https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/16-jackie-mcnamara/id1432582074?i=1000435087602
  19. New episode while I work on getting a few more former players on as guests. A post--mortem of the last few weeks.. Covering aspects like our missing players, our player quality, McLeish's future and potential replacements.. https://audioboom.com/posts/7220671-kazakhstan-and-san-marino-review https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/15-kazakhstan-and-san-marino-review/id1432582074?i=1000433976373&mt=2
  20. Seeing suggestions Callum McGregor should play wide left in Fraser's absence. He is nowhere near the same player when he's not in central midfield and can't influence the game in the same way. Absolutely certain it's best to keep him where he belongs and play a more natural option out there, in my opinion, Russell. McGregor is arguably our best player (Robertson aside) and needs to be utilised properly.
  21. No Armstrong? I genuinely think he is our most important midfielder.
