  1. I know you're being tongue in cheek, but that's what it looks like.
  2. After what Kilmarnock did to Angelo Alessio, this is poetic justice. Yeah. Alessio's methods were good enough for amateurs like Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal, Immobile, etc, but not good enough for superstars like Gary Dicker, Kirk Broadfoot, Scott Boyd, Alan Power, Rory McKenzie, etc.
  3. Personally, I don't really care what people call me. Have at it. People should care about genuine new posters, though. Some people want to keep this site a finite playground.
  4. After being stalked and harassed in pretty much every single post he posted? A guy was on about a year ago (Scotland fan) who threatened to rip a TAMBers face off, as he was so sick of being accused of being someone else. The TAMB is pretty much the main Scotland football forum. There is 7.6 billion people in the world. Accusing every single newbie on being x, is insane. These people are driving newbies away from the site. Is that their agenda? Undoubtedly.
  5. On technical ability, he's the best striker we've had since the early 90s. Best in my living memory. He's one of half a dozen of strikers that suffered from the lone striker system (Miller, Boyd, Naismith, Martin, Fletcher) Kane is a stand out and Foden could turn into something special. Agreed on Ings. There's speculation linking him to Manchester United.
  6. Can't have enough statistics! Thank you.
  7. That's the one. Thank you. Funny how you only appreciate a player when he's gone, isn't it? Fletcher's link up play and hold up player was top drawer. He'd be perfect for the current style. Wish we still had him.
  8. "Inside forwards" is another one. Definitely. Fraser is another.. You'll notice that when Fraser and Forrest had both of their best games for Scotland they played as inside forwards, flanking... can't remember who. I'd say Rashford and Greenwood are the same. Not wingers, but definitely not strikers.
  9. Neither of them play through the middle.
  10. Well, Kane is definitely to be scared of. But the rest? Not really. You can't play all of them at the same time. (I know it's not. Don't let them get to you. Personally, it doesn't bother me. They are not bothering themselves more than they're bothering me. lol. Think about it. If you stay, you'll be annoying them and they'll be making themselves look like blathering paranoid morons in the process)
  11. "Striker" is a relative term. Manchester United have Rashford and Greenwood. Why do you think they were so desperate to keep Cavani? They have Calvert-Lewin, Watkins to cover Kane. They are fine, but there's a reason why they're playing for Villa and Everton Players like Rashford, Greenwood, etc, are not strikers. At least, not yet.
  12. I'd go with that three, too. Hendry has had a good season, but I think I'd give Hanley the nod, simply because of his experience. Steve Clarke has came out and said that he knows his first XI for the Czech match. Counting the days.
  13. If we are going to look into history then I'd rather look at the positive stats: In 5 matches against Croatia they have never beaten us. In our previous 4 matches against the Czech republic we are unbeaten. And England? I don't buy the hype. The only players that I'm not familiar with are Tomori (sp?) From AC Milan, Jadon Sancho and Billingham. The rest arent anything to be afraid of. They're the same up top as they are in defence. They might lose Maguire, they have nothing to replace him with, same deal if they lost Harry Kane.
  14. England's Nick Pope is ruled out of Euro 2020. He would have started as their number one.
  15. Errrrrrr... turns out Episode 3 is Jimmy White by the looks of it.
  16. With all due respect, you arent a moderator, nor am I. As long as people are respectful and not abusive, they're welcome. Croatian injury news: Ante Rebic is suffering from a calf injury. It isn't too bad. But he has missed close to a dozen matches this year. Class player. Dejan Lovren is another injury concern.
  17. Yes But it would be a different case if he (they) was a defender. Which is why I'd give Hanley the nod over Hendry. If Maguire is out, which is looking likely, they are in trouble.
  18. And your evidence Is where? I'm waiting.
  19. Aye, alright then. That was your first post in 6 years? Nice. A paranoid post that's rooted in fantasy. Well played.
  20. Nah. I don't mind at all. England are in our group, so it's still related to Scotland. I'd equally be interested in hearing about the Croatian and Czech players.
  21. A major competition isn't an ideal place to start, though.
  22. Good post. Yep. I suspect that it's blind optimism. Stones needs a strong center back playing next to him, that's why he looks so good next to Ruben Dias. England can definitely be gotten at. A fired up Dykes and a roaring McTominay and McGinn. A win is possible
  23. Because they're in our group. I wouldn't be mentioning them, or want them to be mentioned, if they weren't. You know what they say, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer"
  24. Yes: White, Konsa, Coady and Keane are all good defenders, but they're not playing for big clubs. Certainly not top 6. Yes, Tomori has done well for AC Milan. None of them have the experience and the authority of Maguire. Bellingham is all prospect at the moment. Phillips, Ward-prowse and Rice are in the same boat as the aforementioned defenders. Only Rice is challenging for a top 6 place. He'll probably join Chelsea in the summer.
  25. Really enjoyed this series. Episode 1 was Alex Higgins. Episode 2 was Steve Davis. Episode 3 is Stephen Hendry. Episode 3 is tonight. 9PM on BBC2. Cracking show. Too young to know anything about Alex Higggins, all I knew of was the boozing. Same with the Davis era. Thankfully, I got into Snooker at the start of the Hendry years. Not that I appreciated him at the time.
