Stuart Findlay back at Killie on loan. When he was capped I thought he was going to kick on but that spell in MLS seems to have sent him backwards
-
Cooper playing at the Ullevaal again today as Leeds are playing a friendly against Man Utd in Oslo. Scotland U21 Jeremiah Mullen starts with him in defence. No sign of McTominay for Man Utd, he's playing golf at the Scottish Open Pro-Am

Is it just me or have the trains gone up a lot in the space of a week? I swear when I checked before it was only about 20-25 euros each way whereas now its 40-65.

Hibs have enquired with Man City about getting Fiorini on loan but Swansea & Bristol City also interested

Flying from Manchester to/from Madrid and getting the train between Madrid & Seville

Nice to see Ferguson linked with bigger clubs in Serie A though I'd like to see him stay for at least another year of being first pick at Bologna. Will be interesting to see where Holsgrove ends up. By all accounts had a good season in a struggling side and seems to go under the radar a bit. Still only 23

Villa paying £300k plus add ons for Borland who's only 15. Crazy how much EPL sides can spend on kids

Some reports saying Fraser will go as part of the deal. England seem to have a lot of young right backs coming through and I have a feeling Livramento will end up playing for Portugal
-
I'd say Turnbull has a lot of potential and is still only 23. Just needs to find somewhere better than Celtic's bench for his development
-
Really hope Welsh leaves. Seems to have something about him but can't see him progressing at Celtic even with Rodgers taking over.

From the BBC Sport site: Redeveloping or reconfiguring Hampden Park is "not going to happen" in the current economic climate, Scottish FA chief executive Ian Maxwell has said. Hampden Park is one of the venues included in a joint UK and Ireland bid to host the Euro 2028 finals. And Maxwell is confident of success when governing body Uefa chooses between that and Turkey in October. But he says "it's about doing what we can with what we've got" when it comes to patching up the current Hampden.

Dream Qualification scenario... 12th September 2023
csinclair replied to Bzzzz's topic in TA specific
Granted I didn't watch the Italy game but I didn't think Spain looked like much against Croatia and with some better finishing Croatia would have won. I think that win has papered over the cracks a bit for them. They're still a very good side don't get me wrong but we've faced tougher top seeds in recent years I believe- 29 replies

They finished 2nd behind Serbia in their Nations League group so dependent on Serbia qualifying I guess? (Who are currently 2nd in their group on goal difference)

Dream Qualification scenario... 12th September 2023

Everyone seems to be taking it as given that we'll lose in Spain. With the way we've played so far and given that this Spain side isn't one of their best, I can see us getting a point there and to be honest with the mentality of our team right now maybe even a win. It'll be tough sure but not impossible- 29 replies

With that system though, we've seen in the past against 'lesser' teams that both Robertson and Tierney will bomb forward so essentially you've only got 3 at the back. I'm glad we have the 4-2-3-1 Plan B now though as I think we lacked that a bit earlier on when Clarke took over. I'd have no qualms starting with the 3/5 and then later in the game if we're still trying to break though switch it to a 4. I'm a big fan of calum mcgregor though i'd be tempted to start with gilmour for tomorrow night just because he offered a bit more going forward

Tommy Conway scored the equaliser from the spot. Apparently Bowie hit the post late on
-
If he's fit enough but I think it's more likely we'll have a 3 of Hendry, Cooper & Tierney
-
Daft thing is Abdulai was apparently born in Glasgow so could understand that mistake for one of the lads born in England but not him

Calvin Ramsey to Preston on season long loan

Just about fits into this criteria as a 21 year old but next season will be a big one for Luis Binks (left footed centre back) at Bologna. Played on loan at Como in Serie B last season and in an interview this week with the Daily Record he said a Scotland call up is his target. “It does feel a bit like I’m the Scot in Italy who no one in Scotland really knows about! Obviously, I’m English-born and that’s clearly a factor. People hear my accent and wouldn’t know that I’m eligible for Scotland. “But I’m Scottish as well. I hope I’ve got a chance to be involved with the national team. I definitely want it – but it’s whether Scotland wants me? “My grandad Richard was Scottish, from Dunbar. I actually spoke to someone from the SFA a few months ago and told them I’d like to play for Scotland. There seems to be a perception that I have said no before. “But that’s not the case, I’d never say no to Scotland. If the opportunity ever came up, of course I’d want to be part of it. “I had a positive experience with Scotland when I was involved at Under-16 and Under-18 level. The group of boys I played with were great. I learned back then that the Scottish lads are so down to earth. “When you go away with other countries, they can be a bit big-time. “I’m not like that. “I fit in with the Scottish boys a lot more than I did when I went away with England. I look at lads like Gilmour and Patterson and they’re so grounded. “Obviously I know Aaron and he’s very level-headed as well. That’s why I’d like to be part of it. “From the outside, the camp looks so positive right now. I watched the win over Spain at Hampden and it was rocking that night. “That definitely appeals to me. But for me to get an opportunity I know I need to do well in Italy “If I do that next season, I might get a call-up. “My grandad would be so proud if I played for Scotland, as well as all his family up there. My mum – my grandad’s daughter – would take us there when we were kids to see him. She’s always tried to keep the Scottish going in me.”

I think he's only got a year left on his contract and QPR seem happy to let him go so not likely to move for much
-
Apparently Nisbet has said he’ll decide his future when he’s back from the international break. Millwall have a fee agreed but a few other Championship teams linked with him.
-
Also Aaron pressley who got 6 goals in 22 games in League One for a struggling Accrington side
-
Could add Archie Mair, Jude Smith, Jay Hogarth, Jack Newman & Vincent Angelini to the goalkeepers
-
Millwall have bid £2million for Dykes according to Sky.
