  1. What I thought it would be. Strong lineup come on Scotland!
  2. Croatia & Czech Rep a bit different since it was Euros allocation Covid crowd as opposed to a packed Hampden full of Scots. Also wouldn't say we were humped by Czech Rep, we were the better team and just couldn't put away our chances. The Ukraine game I try not to think about....
  3. Working with Gemmill could be seen as a punishment
  4. Announced on their website now and says a 1 year deal. Still, potentially a good move for him if he can impress there. Robbie Ure signs for Sporting | RSCA Youth
  5. I feel like he'll go with the same lineup as against Georgia (Gilmour & McGregor with McTom and McGinn supporting Dykes) with possibly the only change being Adams instead of Dykes depending on his fitness. This is the kind of game Gilmour could just dominate and with Dykes/Adams plus Mctom, McGinn, Robbo & Hickey all going forward there's plenty in attack
  6. Would love to see him get 45mins against England instead of just his usual cameo
  7. I think I feel confident against any side at Hampden to be honest. I think the Belgium 4-0 is the only time I can think of in recent times where we've been well and truly beaten at home, every other top side we've played has been a narrow loss at worst. In the 2-2 qualifier I think some of the England players seemed genuinely a bit rattled by the atmosphere, especially the second half, which shows that you can play in the EPL every week and the Champions league but the Hampden atmosphere is something else.
  8. In: Robbie McCrorie Out: Liam Kelly, Elliot Anderson
  9. Was wondering what was up with Ross McCrorie as he's not been in the squad yet for Bristol City and FotMob just had it listed as virus. His manager has now said he's out until January/february time because of surgery on a bacterial infection. Gutted for him as that's a rough start at a new club. In the same interview he said Conway will be back in training in October
  10. Personally I don't think there's any point reading too much into it. Sure he pulled out of the U21s a lot but so did Hickey and I don't begrudge him for that.
  11. I'd be surprised if anyone is called up but if it's anyone I'd expect Turnbull
  12. Daily Record already at it with the Clickbait headline of ‘Anderson quits Scotland camp’
  13. Robbie Ure reportedly signs for Anderlecht. Their reserve side play in the Belgian second tier
  14. I’d go with the same XI from the Georgia game but with Che in for Dykes
  15. Looking at pics from training today McTominay was involved which is good to see. Was worried when Ten Hag said he was ill
  16. Judging by how some of the pundits on Sky etc talk about him it's as if they've never actually seen McTominay play either. He always seems to be portrayed as all physicality and no ability yet his recent games for Scotland show he clearly has ability and just needs to be played in the right position
  17. current rumour is Wolves will use some of the money from selling Nunes to Man City to sign Adams
  18. Think he's still out until late September unfortunately
  19. £8million plus £2million in add ons according to sky sports news
  20. I've always got the impression he's an England or noone player. This is from an article in 2020 about him: Most notably, he helped the Young Lions win the Toulon Tournament in 2017, where he finished joint-top scorer with four goals. Two of them came in a win against Scotland, who Barnes qualifies for through his maternal grandparents. Paul (his Dad) reveals the SFA's performance director, Malky Mackay, asked 'quite a few times' if he'd be willing to play for Scotland but Barnes is England through and through.
  21. I think my big fear is we lose against England, Spain and France and lose all our momentum from the start of the campaign. Results could have already gone our way but the thought of going into Georgia away off the back of a 3 game losing run and needing something makes me very uncomfortable. For now let's just focus on beating Cyprus I guess
  22. So the domino effect is looking like Gravenberch to Liverpool, Bayern replacing him with Palhinha from Fulham who in turn want to replace him with McTominay
  23. Southampton have bid £7.5m now but sounds like Sunderland are holding out for £10m
