  1. Ross McCrorie seems to be Bristol City's first choice RB and playing regularly. In with a shout if Hickey and Patterson are injured? Clarke has called him up to squads before and he's getting more minutes than Ralston
  2. Would like to see King and Conway get a chance

I think Mebude has suffered from barely playing in the first half of the season and has just had a handful of sub appearances at Bristol City. Thought playing in a 3 seemed to really suit King and allowed him to bring the ball out from the back. A good performance from our attacking players and that was with no Doak or Lowry
  4. No big miss for me. The squad is already packed with CBs and I'd have Hanley beneath the rest and maybe on par with Cooper. Hickey would be a massive blow though. I like Patterson but Hickey is a level above
  5. Too many fans of teams near the top of the EPL seem to think the only 2 types of midfielders are holding players or Kevin De Bruyne types who play defence splitting passes all game and they totally disregard McTominay's physical attributes or knack of arriving into the box at the right time.
  6. This and the Scots in Italy video have both been really well made and good watches.
  7. Atlantic Cup is a friendly competition so last night was McKenna’s competitive debut
  8. I think when everyone has been fit Clarke has tended to opt for Adams over Dykes anyway, it’s just that Adams had a lot of knocks throughout the last campaign. As said above, I don’t think Dykes played that well for us overall. He started very good off the bench against Cyprus and played well against Spain at home but after that he was pretty poor. Even in Oslo he was poor for 90% of that game but fortunately got the goal and assist when it mattered.
  9. Sky reporting it as a loan deal for McKenna. Suppose it means he can go get minutes whilst keeping his options open for the summer when his contract is up
  10. I think they have a split after March and the top teams play each other for the title.
  11. I think Gallagher is probably too similar to Dykes and could only see him considered if Dykes was injured and even then, I couldn't see him picked ahead of Adams, Shankland, Brown or Conway
  12. I’ve just accepted Hendry might be a David Healy type player: non descript club career but performs at international level. Hanley gives me the fear when he plays for Scotland, mostly for how much he uses his arms defending. Always seems to have hold of a shirt or arms around a player which in the age of VAR is very dangerous. That said, there’s not many better than him. Porteous has probably been our stand out. Souttar is good but struggles to stay fit. Cooper barely plays anymore. McKenna needs a move and has understandably looked rusty for us. Hyam has struggled to kick on from his call up last summer.
  13. The few times I've watched McBurnie this season for Sheffield Utd he's been honking. A lump of wood who seems more interested in jumping into players than actually winning the ball. Would much rather call up Conway or give Hardie a chance.
  14. Sassuolo agree £5.1million fee for Doig
  15. I'd say Souttar is a semi regular. When everyone is fit he's found himself behind Goldson and Davies, sometimes even Balogun.
  16. Sadly already have 2 good players in his position in Moreno & Digne
  17. Calvin Ramsay was rumoured to be getting recalled by Liverpool due to his lack of game time at Preston and now with them having several injuries at the back. I think it's more likely they'll recall him and loan him somewhere else
  18. Wolves being heavily linked with Adams, especially as they've let 2 strikers out on loan this month (Fabio Silva and Kaladjic) and Adams is out of contract in the summer so Southampton might want to cash in rather than him leave for nothing.
  19. It was Conway, Leon King and Lewis Fiorini who joined the senior team training camp
  20. It's a shame the squads are back down to 23 as it probably means Conway will miss out but he looks very promising. A lot of people keep talking about Brown's scoring record but it's worth noting Stoke often played him on the right and Luton play him on the left. It's rare he actually plays as an out and out striker except when he's come on for Scotland. In an ideal scenario I'd have him and Shankland on the bench as one offers pace and the other offers finishing. Part of me thinks we'll see Barnes between now and the Euros. Last time it was Adams who was picked despite having not played in qualifying and I think we'll do the same with Barnes and whilst it'll be a shame for whoever ultimately misses out, he's a quality player who's quick and can score.
  21. Something hasn't seemed right this season with Adams. Everything seemed to point towards him leaving for an EPL club last summer and it never materialised. Now Martin isn't giving him regular minutes but whenever he does he seems to have an impact. There's rumours Wolves will come back in for him and ironically Shankland has been tipped for Southampton
  22. I've asked the Everton fans I know what they think of Patterson and they're all bemused why Dyche only plays him when Young & Coleman aren't available. I watched him against Man City the other week and he had an excellent game against Grealish.
  23. Paper talk today that Arsenal could recall Tierney because Zinchenko is injured. Would prefer him to stay in Spain personally where he seems to be first pick when fit
