We ended up booking a cheap airbnb for 2 nights (7th-9th) for £55 after trying to see if anywhere would accommodate our short stay.

Shawn, Me and my pal are flying from Edinburgh to Faro the same day and have bought tickets for the late bus, can join us during the day if you want.

For anyone who’s travelling to Krakow for the Ukraine game on the 27th of September. Can get a private boat down the Vistula river for 2hrs on game day at 4pm which gives you some cracking views of the city, especially the castle. 2hrs free booze - Gin, rum, beer, vodka etc and a DJ who will play whatever you desire. Both FA just passed the responsibility back to each other so who knows! I can't imagine it will be too difficult to get a local to acquire tickets for anyone who hasn't got

There or there about. The Armenian FA gave me a phone and have explained that as a British Citizen, you will not be allowed to purchase a ticket either online or at the shop. However, he said "you did not hear this from me" that if you speak to a local or a hotel manager etc they could purchase for you.

Has anyone had any luck with Armenian FA ticket system? I have got an away ticket but 4 of my mates haven't and would of sat in the home end. However, look at these messages...

Looks like we will leave early morning 15th to spend a day and night in Tbilisi then just a straight 3/4 hour private taxi to the airport on 16th

Still praying the train decides to run as that is meant to be a great experience. Have you seen the restrictions in Bucharest right now? I have been reassured that the pubs/restaurants are still open until 21:00 so may see you during the day at the boozers!

Www.Galtrans.md is the bus service I used. If you have a starling/Monza card then pay with that so you don’t get charged for foreign rate etc. I’ll be on the Moldovan wine but I’ll happily oblige

Robbie, That is us booked up now. 10th Nov 23:00 Bus -> Chisinau with the intention of buying a train ticket if it comes online. 13th November Chisinau -> Iasi Bus (3hrs), explore and then get an early flight to Bucharest on 14th (55mins) to get flight back to Edinburgh with Wizzair. All this for £42 so happy with that and splits up the travel a bit!

Aye it’s Bucharest to Chisinau for about £11 I think. We will probably get nighttime bus on 10th as well then bus back on 13th Night to catch out lunchtime flight from Bucharest. Feel free to drop me a message if you’re needing a hand

Current plan is to get the bus alternative on the 10th as its only £10 and then if the train runs I will buy a ticket for that also. 9hrs instead of 13/14hrs on the train but buses aren't the most enjoyable form of travel haha. What about you?

Wee update from Moldovan Rail. Positive news..

6 of us booked Edinburgh -> Bucharest (Ryaniar) on the 10th Nov, flying home from Bucharest -> Edinburgh on the 14th (Wizz-air). The intention was to get the famous night train from Bucharest to Chisinau however, this does not seem to be running currently due to Moldovan Rail going bankrupt. The alternatives currently are bus, private hire or internal flights. Is anybody in the same predicament? And if there is a lot who chose this route, would anyone be interested in a coach hire option to make the journey a bit more fun? 😂
