  1. I actually quite like Armstrong, but I'd rather we started players who have played competitive football this month.
  2. I think the team will start exactly as it did against Albania, but if I were to change it slightly I would like to see what this team could do: McGregor Souttar McKenna Tierney O'Donnell Robertson McTominay McGinn McGregor Russell Naismith McBurnie and Forrest also deserve a run out for sure.
  3. Great to see. Hopefully he keeps his head down and gets the break he deserves.
  4. Haha if my boss described one of my decisions as "brave" I'd immediately rethink it as it almost certainly means I've gone too far and done something stupid.
  5. I fell there may be a disproportionate reaction to these two call offs on this thread: 1) I don't think 2 call offs from a 23-man squad indicates an endemic problem. 2) Neither do I think it shows a lack of respect for the manager among the players. 3) I think we're frustrated by the two players that have pulled out this time specifically because one is possibly our best young hope of a truly gifted striker but never seems to get the chance to show us what he can do regularly, and the other has had a fantastic start to the season at the highest level in league football and we also haven't had a real chance to see what he can do in a Scotland shirt. 4) If it was McDonald and Hendry that pulled out because of fitness concerns and injury we'd probably be totally fine with it and move on, continuing to be excited for a huge match which if we win will be a gigantic step in the right direction. 5) Neither of these players started the game against Albania and we were still dominant and looking like a decent team. 6) Let's get this frustration, speculation, and negativity tae fuck and get behind the lads who are still in the squad for tomorrow night! 3-1 Scotland
  6. Remember it at the time, but it fascinating to hear him describe it in more detail now. It must still be extremely hard for him to talk about. Can't imagine what that would be like to go through, and what it would take to keep on going at the level he did afterwards. I've always thought he comes across very well as a person, and that some of the shit he got from fans throughout his career was harsh and unwarranted.
  7. Oh right. I thought it was a tweet, sorry. Haha morons.
  8. You can see that it doesn't have the blue Twitter certification badge next to it, which the real Sky Sports Football account does. Still good banter though. Could believe it. I'd love to see us produce more players that England are interested in!
  9. Isn't that second one the starting line up from the Albania match? I think it's a solid prediction, but I'd much rather see the likes of Fraser and McTominay. I'd also love for McBurnie to be given a start to see what he can do.
  10. It's a joke Twitter account.
  11. Another assist for Fraser today puts him back in 2nd place on points for midfielders in Fantasy EPL. Only Hazard ahead of him. Keep up the great work Ryan!
  12. I agree. McGinn does take too many risks. They way he risked relieving Albania of possession one bajillion times and setting us up for goalscoring opportunities was alarming. He's a loose cannon!
  13. You're right actually. I was really impressed with McGinn against Albania. He deserves to start.
  14. Yeah, I get that. Don't want to push someone coming back from injury. Can't be about lack of match fitness/awareness though. Otherwise there would be two or three other lads who should be left out the squad. Anyway, he was getting rave reviews at the start of the season, so I hope he picks up where he left off and also carries it through to the Scotland team when he's ready.
  15. I love the look of this team, but we'll have to wait a while to see it.
  16. To take this back to Cairney, I'm surprised he's not in the squad.
  17. Another assist for McBurnie, and a goal and assist for Fulton.
  18. I wear a decoy sporran at the front, while round the back I've got another chalk full of buckie. You're welcome.
  19. Bates back in the Humburg starting lineup tonight.
  20. Has anyone else been able to get to the bottom of whether this lad is actually eligible for Scotland or not? Flashscores shows him as Scottish for some reason, but Wikipedia says Nigerian-English. However, today I found this reasonably unreliable source saying Nigerian-Scottish https://mobile.ghanasoccernet.com/5-premier-league-tracking-qpr-wonderkid-ebere-eze.
  21. If you offered me one out of three I'd take it immediately!
