  1. Good to know, thanks for the stats!
  2. Anyone know how many of Forrest's caps have come from him coming on as a sub? I know people like to point out the 24 caps without a goal, but how many of those did he actually start? I think he had a few starts under Strachan, but can't really remember before that.
  3. Oh my God, brilliant. I understand now. It's very hard for a genius to be happy. Most are troubled by all that is wrong in the world, and find it hard to be content with the small wins and little things that make others happy. I feel for you. I wish you could enjoy this moment of relative happiness with everyone else. PS: I think Wilde had more of a Venn diagram in mind, where the ridicule towards genius was a small subset of general ridicule. If I shat my pants on Sauchiehall St I'd no doubt be ridiculed by my mates and most passers-by, but not because of my genius.
  4. This sentence is one of the best I've read on here yet! Gave me a real chuckle as I was trying to wake up this morning, thanks. "What if we win the World Cup? What then?! We'll never get rid of this corrupt SFA!" Also, turn on the news. I don't think society is how you think it is at the moment mate. I use my love for the Scotland national team as a form of escapism. That the brilliance of sport in general. So try and enjoy it when things go your team's way for once, 'cause they sure as hell aren't going our way in the real world.
  5. You're right, we should focus on the negatives... BOOOOOOOOOOO to you good sir! It doesn't matter the rankings of the teams. For the first time in a long time we had a job to do and we did it. With a team of supposedly low quality players, and a much derided manager nonetheless! For the first time in 15 years we're in the playoffs. Try and enjoy it mate.
  6. Haha well I ended up misspelling his name too...
  7. Yeah, that was really great to hear. One of the biggest cheers of the night. he deserved it. he was literally all over the place. I'm sure I saw him pop up and win a defensive header in the centre half position at one point!
  8. I feel like Christoe has earned at least a call-up to your squad
  9. I think it's worth saying that Fletcher was really the unsung hero of the last two games. When he was called up I think we were all pretty much not interested, and I was seeing him starting up front as on of our biggest weaknesses. Boy did he prove me wrong. His unbelievable work rate and effort to create opportunities for our attacking midfield quartet was vital. He doesn't need to score any goals really, I've just now realised that's not what he was on the park to do. Hats off to you Steven!
  10. That's a fair point. I wonder if they knew that?
  11. I was not. Can't take a day off work to travel for weeknight games unfortunately. Made sure to make a noise in my local though.
  12. Only just realised he was probably also quietly delighted with the quality of the Kayal strike...
  13. Aye. Cheers mate! It's great to have some like-minded people to chat to during the game in the sad event of not being at Hampden or watching with Scottish friends.
  14. Forrest - fantastic Christie - brilliant Armstrong - excellent Fletcher - great McKenna - solid
  15. This now has me in fits of laughter in a silent Oxford pub hahahaha.
  16. James Forrest you beautiful little bastard! Must say Christie is looking great again. It's exciting when he gets on the ball.
  17. Just shouted "COME ON!" at the top of my voice completely involuntarily in the quietest Oxford pub. Everyone turned round Hahaha.
  18. Not quite. We've got 60% possession, so you must be happy eh?
  19. Felt like McGregor was a little too far of his line?
  20. Great to see a foul throw get punished. That's what you get for doing it twice in the space of a minute!
