He really did get us on the move again with his goals scored in 2005 and 2006. I'd be interested to see how many assists he's credited with at international level. He was unfortunate in having gone through an extended spell where he was really not at the races during 2008 and 2009 when he had his worst games for Scotland. If only his decision making on the pitch had been better then he could have played at a much higher level.

There was a time when people once said that the likes of Graham Alexander, Paul Hartley, Ikechi Anya and even Leigh Griffiths "wurnae good enough" for international football. As much as I love Snoddy's constant effort and the fact he obviously loves playing for Scotland, I think he's noticeably in decline now as a player - the goal against Slovenia aside. I probably wouldn't pick him any longer, especially as we have so many options in midfield to choose from.
