  1. In other words you want a loyal Rangers man in charge of Scotland and none of these Timmy sounding candidates being suggested.
  2. I thought Richard Leonard was supposed to be putting "the natz" in their place and leading the Corbyn revolution in North Britain ? That's what our wonderful unbiased papers said anyway. Anyone seen him at FMQs since he became leader ? The guy is bloody hopeless.
  3. Hate Rangers but I actually quite like Graham Murty. Seems a very pleasant, humble sort of guy.
  4. Now now, our young uns must "serve their apprenticeship" until they are 25 which should be about right. And they must wait their turn for their debut as so and so has turned up to so many friendlies without playing, we must give him a game instead just to be nice. I know someone who has attended coaching lectures at that Largs weekend piss up coaching setup the SFA run. They are taught only to use teenage players as a last resort and to prioritise experienced players over talented youngsters as it "builds a culture of respect, keeps young players grounded and makes leaders out of the older players". That is the kind of 1950's thinking we are up against here. No wonder we don't qualify for stuff anymore.
  5. We'll hold a raffle and have bucket collection at the next international. Problem solved
  6. He really did get us on the move again with his goals scored in 2005 and 2006. I'd be interested to see how many assists he's credited with at international level. He was unfortunate in having gone through an extended spell where he was really not at the races during 2008 and 2009 when he had his worst games for Scotland. If only his decision making on the pitch had been better then he could have played at a much higher level.
  7. Ok. He was a handy player for a while and I'm glad we had him on board. People said he wasn't good enough yet he did us a few good turns. That's the point I'm making.
  8. Just get Bilic in. Please get Bilic in.
  9. Whilst it could be done, it would cost a feckin eye watering amount of tax payers money and would involve significant disruption to housing and businesses in the locality as gas, electricity and water services would probably also be affected. It wouldn't be worth the huge cost is all I'm saying. The best we can do is bring the stands in I think.
  10. There was a time when people once said that the likes of Graham Alexander, Paul Hartley, Ikechi Anya and even Leigh Griffiths "wurnae good enough" for international football. I remember a pal of mine years ago saying that a certain young Hibs player called Scott Brown was "overrated" and "too much of a daftie" to be considered for internationals. Paterson and Joe Bryan should be given a chance I say. Especially if they are playing Premier League football next year.
  11. Whats worse is that he's a thick as mince, loud, immature meathead that genuinely believes himself to be intelligent and articulate.
  12. True. However three of those goals were against the might of Malta. I'd rather see what Ryan Fraser, Callum McGregor, Tom Cairney and Ryan Christie can offer us.
  13. As much as I love Snoddy's constant effort and the fact he obviously loves playing for Scotland, I think he's noticeably in decline now as a player - the goal against Slovenia aside. I probably wouldn't pick him any longer, especially as we have so many options in midfield to choose from.
  14. That .......... And abandoning his country in 2008 because he is a childish wee fanny.
  15. Away to El Salvador or Nicaragua would determine whether or not the Tartan Army really is an "army" or not.
  16. At Atlético Madrid and Liverpool aye he was great. At Chelsea (after paying £50,000,000 for him) he was pish, they'd have been better off getting Kevin Kyle or Jon Daly in. This thread is about obscene transfer fees in the EPL. So I named a few.
  17. Back in 2012, ra peepul declared Naismith and co to be "traitors to The Crown, the British Empire, Ulster and oor Protestant faith" and that they were also "taigs, declans, priest lovers, Sinn Fein sympathisers and paid agents of Rome." That seemed to be the gist of it on followfollow and rangersmedia anyway. They all seemed to be a trifle angry, confused and extremely bigoted.
  18. Probably the last time that happened was about about thirty or forty years ago I reckon. And of course back then most managers didn't have a problem starting a nervous, untested teenage in a big game. The vast majority of Celtic fans are taking the defeat well and accept that the signs had been there in the last few weeks that a defeat was coming, albeit perhaps not such a heavy one. Boyata, Gordon, Lustig and Šimunović are getting heavy criticism. There are a few cringeworthy idiots peddling a stupid "Hearts deliberately wrecked the pitch pre-match and the SFA let them get away with it" conspiracy theory but they are getting told to shut up and feck off by their fellow fans.
  19. Carroll and Fellani have already been mentioned but some others from recent years ...... Ángel Di María - Real Madrid to Man Utd - £59,700,000 John Stones - Everton to Man City - £50,000,000 Fernando Torres - Liverpool to Chelsea - £50,000,000 Andriy Shevchenko - Milan to Chelsea - £30,800,000 Roberto Soldado - Valencia to Tottenham - £26,000,000 Juan Sebastián Verón - Lazio to Man Utd - £24,300,000
  20. Met Mani at the Queen's Park glasshouse yesterday who told me he thought it was a smashing idea.
  21. I thought so too. It's fantastic that Hearts won in such style and stopped Celtic's run but I feckin loathe that lanky carbunkle Lafferty.
  22. Makes me all the more glad that that sectarian kant Brown never got capped for Scotland.
