  1. On the whole no, especially the 2nd half of the season. However there are reasons to give him time. Firstly the number of youngsters around the club who did get their chance last season but not this. I hope to see changes next season. Secondly is the performance in the first half of the season which was fantastic. Yesterday proved you don't need Naismith to play that way.
  2. I thought I had counted Brown It wasn't an anti-Celtic post, just a response to somebody who wanted to attack Hearts no matter what. I recognise that Celtic have achieved what they have with a large number of Scots and they deserve credit. Hoping we can start next season with Cochrane, McDonald, Hickey and the others playing much more.
  3. Souttar and Hickey were excellent. Really impressed with the young lad. A fantastic performance by a 16 year old. Johnston didn't do much. Maybe more time before a call up.
  4. In fact there are now 5. More than Celtic
  5. 4. 1 less than Celtic. And Naismith Is injured.
  6. Aaron Hickey starts for Hearts at only 16 years old. Pity Levein didn't give Cochrane a place. I'd enjoy watching us lose more if we had more youngsters๐Ÿ˜‰ Johnston starts for Celtic. Be interesting to see with the squad announcements coming soon.
  7. Not really. Dembele was born in England. He may have absolutely no link with the place other than that but being born somewhere is a pretty standard eligibility criteria. Now Mebude may have a similar story. I don't know how long he's lived in Scotland but clearly a long time, long enough to be eligible.
  8. It wasn't just Celtic playing the youngsters. Hearts had 5 Scots starting (and that's without Naismith, Cochrane and Berra) which included a 16 year old and a 17 year old. They looked alright as well from what I saw. That said Johnston and Henderson looked superb. Johnston is going to some player. Also pleasing to see the number of Scots growing in the Rangers squad. Mebude came on. How did he do?
  9. A good day for the future of Scottish football. Yes, it was the last day and a dead game for a number but I hope the young players who featured today get a lot more time next season.
  10. I've not seen Cov this season (sick of it all to be honest) so not seen Grimmer this season but he's done well for us. Some important goals. At one point i thought he'd soon be in a position to be talked about for a call up but this season he's not started regularly. I think he'd do alright in the Scottish Premier for a team around the level of Motherwell or Livingston.
  11. ยฃ12 million??? Bloody hell. It's only speculation but blimey.
  12. Henderson played the full 90minutes in Verona's quarter final play off. They won 4-1. Does anyone know if there are 2 legs? Do the lower teams play more games like the Championship play off?
  13. I know but it's hardly smooth. You could say things never are but Clarke getting the job is just fantastic news and perhaps part of me thinks the SFA are just about to balls thus up.
  14. It's really so frustrating that the pieces are finally falling into place and we should be excited that we end up with another mess! Hope it's resolved properly and then I will start to feel positive for the future.
  15. McGinn or Shinnie? Hate the Villa but would love to see McGinn tested in the EPL.
  16. Not sure if this has been discussed but Everton's U23 won the league and tonight won the premier league cup. Hornby didn't score tonight but the match report has him in the thick of it: http://www.evertonfc.com/news/2019/05/08/u23s-report
  17. Does it? Or that his team mates really value his contributions. Maybe you'd be right if they were the only ones praising him.
  18. What about Jack at right back? I take the point made earlier that there is nobody there saying to these players, "you'll be in the next squad so keep your fitness up."
  19. As we know we've got two matches to win the nation's league thing we can use the qualifiers now to build. I don't mind losing to Belgium, or even Russia, if there's clear progression.
  20. I think you are right about a lack of leaders. Which is why I think Mulgrew or Berra will be in the next squad. Personally I'd partner Souttar and McKenna and let them develop a partnership but as fans we see things differently to experienced managers. Where players have an effect on the team in the way fans just don't see.
  21. Yeah, I've followed their games this season only through Google. From a distance it looks like a disappointing season for him. A year ago Serie A teams were after him but this season he's started on the bench a lot and Verona have fallen away. A real shame but hopefully a second season there may make a difference. After excitement earlier in the season that we could have Scots in European top leagues next season it looks like Harper will be the only one unless Hamburg turn it round quickly.
  22. No need to be sarcastic. He's player of the year at a club in the play-offs which, based on form, may well be in the Premiership next season. Which is positive. You're just upset at Blades doing do well ๐Ÿ˜‰
  23. Thanks but I was referring to my previous claim that Tierney is even better. Maybe I was wrong.... ๐Ÿ˜Š
  24. On topic....Robertson has been superb tonight. Starting to think he may be the best left back in Britain after all. ๐Ÿ˜‰
