    Starting to think that myself

Their record in power in appalling on education, drugs deaths etc.

All bluster in run up to elections but very little substance thereafter.  Unfortunately the opposition are just as bad.

Sturgeon talks a good game. Time she started delivering.  More interested in grievance politics as it covers up her failings.

    Agreed.

Sturgeon should stick yer man Thplinth in her team to get her telt and freshen things up. Ying and Yang

@Lamiais spot on with her analysis.  There is a marked change in approach from the First Minister now that she has won the election.

All the way through the election campaign, the First Minister was trumpeting the fact that she had been doing daily briefing since the start of the pandemic. She trumpeted this as a reason for people to vote for her in the election. As soon as she got re-elected, she is down to doing one a week at most. Given that the case numbers are higher than at any point, I'm disgusted by this.

I understand that not everybody may have tuned in. But having a daily briefing guaranteed that it was the first story on the tv news bulletins, and invariably meant that something from the briefing was on the front page of the newspapers. Without the daily briefings, that is not happening any more. This then serves to erode public compliance as there is less focus on the pandemic and the rules within the various media outlets.

Before the election, the line was that we were aiming for zero covid. Since the election its now about 'manageable levels' of hospitalisations, long-terms health impacts and deaths.

Before the election, we heard about how we needed travel restrictions north of the border in order to protect the population. Since the election, we have just accepted and followed the UK policies. It was obvious that travel to India was a danger, but we just followed along allowing travellers from there for weeks because the Prime Minister was trying to do a trade deal.

Before the election there was pressure on the UK government to extend furlough and other support schemes. Since the election it has gone very quiet despite the fact that we are only a few weeks away from the end of furlough. We are facing a massive rise in unemployment in coming weeks.

Another worry is that although there are supply issues with the Pfizer vaccine, with the next delivery not due until the end of August, I actually dont think there is sufficient demand amongst the younger demographic to get them all vaccinated.

There have been drop-in clinics available all over the country for all ages since last week. Yet the vaccination numbers are falling day-on-day. If the youngsters were eager to get the vaccination, wouldn't we be seeing the drop-in centres crowded? Instead, we have photos of empty vaccination centres, with people not bothering to turn up for appointments, never mind attend as a drop-in.

I wonder how much of the supply has been wasted in recent weeks due to poor attendance.

I fear that the youngsters aren't concerned with getting the vaccine and we are going to be faced with a situation where the vaccine will spread widely amongst them, leading to newer strains which reduce the efficacy of the vaccines.

The hypocrisy of the First Minister and the Scottish Government stinks.

This will also have an impact on the support for independence. An undecided voter may have been impressed with the First Minister's performance before the election but it is blatantly obvious that she is less concerned now. Any 'soft yes' voter looking at this may question whether the First Minister can now be trusted given that she clearly doesn't care about the worrying rise in numbers.

I'm a 'hard yes' voter and Sturgeon is a disgrace. There is no chance she will oversee a successful independence campaign. Her and her cronies are happy ticking along. Pathetic

Dundee Utd have got a top keeper in Trevor Carson. Hopefully he'll have better luck avoiding injury. He's far too good to be a number 2 so inevitable he was leaving Well when Kelly signed.

Looks like a good signing, seen a lot of Motherwell fans speaking highly of him and wishing him well. Assuming Benji will be away sooner rather than later, if we get a few quid for him and Carson straight in as our number 1 thats not a bad bit of business. For us anyway 😂🤦🏻

Isn't it amazing. Rangers go out of existence, New Rangers / Sevco is brought in to replace them, they have to start at the bottom and work their way up the leagues. During this long period the new club gets passed around one shady owner to another like an old porn mag, managers and players come and go and yet throughout it all the one person who is preserved and cocooned in bales of cotton wool is Jimmy Fucking Bell.

But yeah the good news is their players weren't singing Fuck the Pope.

(Although let's face, none of us, including all the huns on here , would have been that shocked had they been, it was a coin-toss really ).

It is quite something. The only constant throughout the whole sordid mess is a rampant sectarian bigot. 😂😂 What a club.

I've been thinking this for pretty much the entirety of the past 2 decades. Why are we so unlucky with strikers? I don't mean we necessarily lack strikers, but it always seems when one comes along, there is always some sort of baggage or flaw that prevents them from fulfilling their potential. There are countless examples.

    To name a few:

Riordan - "best striker of a ball I've ever seen" said by Strachan. But was by all accounts a wee ned, unwilling to work on any other part of his game.

O'Connor - went to Russia, did okay, then god knows what happened to him. I'm sure I heard he got caught with drugs or something.

Goodwillie - Looked very promising at around 22 but his career was effectively ruined by criminal accusations.

S.Fletcher - Underachieved, despite good domestic form.

McBurnie - See Fletcher. But add in his "caught on camera" remarks and recent bustups with fans.

Griffiths - Probably the best we've had the last decade but has been desperately unlucky with mental health problems. (I still hold onto hope for him)

There are many many more examples. Now, I don't expect us to be producing a Lewandowski. But why can't we at least get a David Healy? We are long overdue a bit of luck in that department.

I'm afraid to say, every player mentioned above has, or at least did have, a massive NED quality about them. We are the worst country in the world for this sort of character. Utterly depressing in this day and age

My dad had a minor heart attack on Monday and has been in hospital since then, he was due to have a stent put in yesterday, but the ward was put in lockdown after a patient was diagnosed with COVID. Thankfully he is fine, but just a bit bored.

Ninewells in Dundee have opened a third COVID ward in the last few days, and are still getting new patients. It’s looking a bit grim.

Hope the old man is OK.

It appears as if Whitfield is the new Wuhan 🤦🏻

It really is. The endless production of new ID's is one thing. They are up and running within minutes of the old one getting banned. It is these 'support' characters that are the saddest thing I think I have ever seen on here.

The way he crawls up his own arse as well. 'Oh you're wonderful.' 'Nooo you're wonderful.' Hooooly fuck.

What in the name of fuck drives someone to invest so much time in being such a twat. It sort of defeats the purpose of being a twat almost. Same goes for trolling billy. If you have to spend all day doing it you are just a sad cunt, not even a troll.

I wondered if the Euro's might save the board... nope.

He also invented an "English Guy' to support his ramblings. 😂😂 Full blown discussions with himself. 🤦🏻
