I will be on the night but really can't get excited about it right now even though it's only next week. Usually I'd be buzzing for a qualifier a few weeks in advance but my enthusiasm has been drained by the shite served up in October, as well as a few other things.

Great story Rubbers. One year later we beat England at Wembley, must have been an incredible time to follow Scottish football.

How much is face value? I was about to get my son a junior ticket for £10 but happy to give it to you instead.

There's actually loads. Many of which are "bubble matches" where the police only allow away fans to travel with a convoy and a lot of these leave hours earlier than they would normally Cardiff/Swansea and Burnley v Blackburn are two of the top of my head. Leeds v Millwall is usually a 12pm kick off. Ajax v Feyenoord. Don't know if you've ever been to an old firm match but there's rarely, if ever, any trouble at the grounds these days.

For once the game wasn't the "main event" of the day and I think it made folk more concious of how much/if they were drinking. It's not hard to see why people expected extra trouble though. If the teams had been closer in the title race it may well have been different but it was a strange kind of subdued atmosphere before and after

I would agree. The police actually handled it with a lot of common sense which helps matters. That isn't always the case.

I'll admit that i thought the timing of this game was asking for trouble but it appears to have worked the opposite way. Most folk on our bus didn't even go for a post match pint and the ones who did left early as they had other plans. 3 arrests at the game is nothing in a crowd of 50k people.

I missed the last two trips to Slovenia so had been looking forward to this but won't be booking up for a "dead rubber" match. Would rather use the money for a family holiday.

Hoping this campaign is the reverse of the last one. Crap start then a strong finish. Can't see it though. We'll probably draw with Slovenia meaning the last half of the group is virtually meaningless.

I wouldn't know if they were getting upset about it or not to be fair. What I do know is that they have rules in places which forbid these kind of things so they have ,rightly, fined us for it.

The only people I ever see getting upset over poppies are those complaining that others aren't wearing one. We deliberately broke the rules and deserve all we get.
