  1. I think some people outside Scotland would watch a Glasgow derby, but in the same way i would watch Boca v River Plate, Galatasary v Fenerbahce game etc. If they were at home and nothing else was on TV. Can't see many neutrals making a point of staying in to watch it or even knowing where the teams were in the league That's not exclusive to Scotland
  2. I wouldn't have been surprised if Rodgers had left Celtic either, if Celtic were in the position that Killie were in, out the cup and miles behind the league leaders.
  3. If they were 8 clear in the league and in the QF of the cup then yes, of course.
  4. Apparently he's taken 10 backroom staff including sports scientists and data analysis people. Wanted to take John Kennedy but he's supposed to have told him to fuck off. Not a "dangerous" position as such, but hardly fucking ideal either. New manager has a huge rebuilding job in the summer.
  5. Fair enough. I avoid radio phone ins like the plague (they usually pick the biggest looneys they can find for quotes) and rarely go on twitter now that all 5 of the Saturdays have rejected my romantic advances.
  6. I'm talking about 8 in a row. I didn't really expect him to be here for a potential 10. It's hardly unreasonable to expect him to see the season through at such a late stage, especially if reports are true that Leicester were willing to wait. It almost never happens, which is what the issue is for most. Not simply because he left.
  7. Most people aren't surprised he left for England. Just that he went at this stage of the season. I'm realistic and know there's not a player or manager who'd choose to stay here over the EPL, but I also think it's reasonable to expect them to see out the season at this stage with so much to play for. His success here will be forever tainted because of that, all he had to do was wait a matter of weeks and his legend status was secured. Too bad I suppose.
  8. The times are reporting that they were willing to wait until the summer for him which, if true, makes it a lot harder to accept. Perhaps he was worried that he'd lose the league to his former player?
  9. Yes I agree. But Rod Stewart is a halfwit and I tend not to take notice of anything he says or does. I meant the "timplosion" that Kirk was on about. He wasn't just talking about Rod Stewart. He meant Celtic fans in general. Losing a much loved manager is always going to create a reaction when you support a football team, I don't see how it's ridiculous. Just like I didn't think it was ridiculous when we lost Smith during the euro 2008 campaign.
  10. I doubt it's much different to when Walter Smith fucked off from the Scotland job during a promising campaign, what makes you think it's ridiculous?
  11. In a word, yes. The two leagues simply aren't comparable any more (if they ever actually were) with all the money involved now.
  12. Should be able to, yes. My concern is how the players react to losing BR, especially how quickly it all happened. The story is that he told them today and they thought he was on the wind up. Tomorrow night is huge, it's about more than just the 3 points now. A good performance and win could set the tone for the rest of the season, as could a disappointing defeat.
  13. There's fuck all reasonable about it. If he was Leicester's top target they'd have understood that he had unfinished business at his current club.
  14. Done that in 2005, as a favour to a boy over from Ireland, when Beattie scored an injury time winner. Had to invade the park or get my cunt kicked in. Held by the police until all the CSC busses had fucked off and had to get a train home from Haymarket surrounded by diet Huns who recognised me. Never ever again.
  15. Ian Cathro got the Hearts job by winning a pub quiz, so stranger things have happened.
  16. There's a way to go about things though. I don't believe for a second he couldn't have waited until the end of the season.
  17. Under Rodgers was my mistake enjoyable time watching Celtic, and him leaving isn't the problem for me. The problem is the timing and walking out with two trophies up for grabs. I'm genuinely shocked at that part of it. Unlike others I don't wish him well. He's a rat bastard in my eyes now and I hope he has nothing but failure for the rest of his career. He's not Celtic man. That's for sure.
  18. I read somewhere that Puel was on 2m a year at Leicester, which surprised me, I think Rodgers was on about the same, possibly more, at Celtic.
  19. Ah shit. Forgot to add that to my itinerary. Will try and squeeze it in between hitting a granny in the face with a flare and launching an Aldi bag full of jobby into the disabled section.
  20. It's bound to be a complete circus surrounding him. Not what we need at all, especially at Tynecastle of all places. Then Easter Road on Saturday as well ffs.
  21. Will just be like old times tomorrow at Tynecastle. Lennon back in the dugout and IRA songs galore coming from the full Roseburn. Going to try and get there early so all the good kiosks to rob aren't taken.
  22. I don't know a single Tim who is seething about an orange top. I know that's the reaction you daft cunts wanted, but nobody cares.
