  1. Aw diddums, the poor wee public sector souls need to move office. Employers moving location happens all the time and it’s not exactly to the other end of the country.
  2. I hope he's withdrawn for a good scrub followed by appointments with a barber and decent tailor. Always looks like he has spent the night upside down in a hedge.
  3. I never thought I'd be pleased to find out Derek Mackay was in charge of anything but long may he reign as SNP election campaign director.
  4. I'm sure I read that Whyte's lawyers have had to pay that (or possibly their PI insurers, dunno) - don't think Ticketus have been left out of pocket - just very red faced.
  5. I'm not socially responsible because I haven't visited someone in hospital, crossed a toll-free bridge, had a free prescription or visited my local A&E (I have no idea where it is - could by the Vicky but I think the A&E there was closed - possibly Hairmyres...)?
  6. I work for a large financial services company - the vast majority of our customers are based in England - our office in Glasgow would have closed (for a variety of reasons, but regulatory divergence being the main one).
  7. Anyone can cherry-pick certain areas. Sturgeon said education would be her number one priority - new literacy statistics show that only 49% of S2 now performing well in writing.
  8. I'm a bit old for upping sticks just because there's a party in power that I despise - if I can see out a few more years in my current job (a job I would have lost had the SNP had their way in 2014, which would have had a serious long-term financial impact for me) I'll have to give serious consideration to spending my retirement elsewhere.
  9. Charming I didn't realise the NHS was an SNP creation. I would only go anywhere near the NHS as a last resort.
  10. I'm struggling to think of anything beneficial that a political party has done for me, which is fine, as long as they don't do anything to my detriment.
  11. However, the Lodge’s intervention sparked concerns from SNP and Green members. Scottish Green leader Patrick Harvie said: “Most people will view the Orange Lodge as an unpleasant organisation with a sectarian past." Although Harvie is quite happy to prop up an organisation with a sectarian past - from Andrew Dewar Gibb in the 30s through to Billy Wolfe in the 80s.
  12. To avoid being a hypocrite I've gone private for my Hampsteads. Honestly can't remember the last time I had my eyes tested - opticians are just interested in trying to flog you goggles whether you need them or not.
  13. Partick are the only team that haven't taken points off us this season - I fear that may change tomorrow...
  14. I have been paying roughly the same (East Ren) for as long as I can remember now, which simply isn't right - Council Tax I don't mind paying as it funds vital local services - my income tax on the other hand is being frittered away on tuition fees, prescriptions, dental check-ups, eye tests... for people that can afford to pay for these things themselves - it's like me walking into the Busby Hotel this evening and standing drinks for everyone.
