    What was that ?

Read the posts above you’ll get the gist of it.

Lovely day for a game of football.

Cue the snow when the SPL returns.

I can confirm it was pretty chilly in Greenock today.

Thistle didn’t really turn up until a couple of late subs sparked them into life and they equalised shortly after. Cue lots of shouting, bickering, tasty tackles and penalty claims but no winner. There was a bit too much hoofball for my liking which I found strange as both teams looked better when the they got it down and built the game. I was driving this time so didn’t get to sample any pre/post match atmosphere. All in all though a decent way to spend a couple of hours.

Next stop, back to NDP for the big Friday night cup tie. I’m getting a lift there and back so will have a few in whatever boozer is letting the sheep in. Friday night is a dead loss in Hamilton these days so I would have thought the boozers would be glad of the business but who knows. If Clyde score I’ll need to bite my tongue!

Jesus.  Don't think I've ever hit the crossbar like that.  One of my second place teams is Rangers so it probably won't come in anyway but I'll continue to blame Clyde!

Last Saturday I had a 10 games Goals Galore on.  With about 5 minutes to go I needed 4 teams to score so thought it was pretty much done.  Went to the toilet and when I was standing at the bar noticed 2 of the 4 had scored.  By the time I got back to my seat Clyde (ironically!) had scored so was only waiting on Everton.  Cash out at that point was over 200 quid but as it paid closer to 1800 and there were 9 minutes injury time I let it ride and obviously Everton didn't score!  Watched MOTD the next morning and noted that DCL rattled the post from about 35 yards which didn't make me feel any better!

Frank McAvennie was in that West Ham team. I’m going to a fundraiser next weekend and he’s going to be there. Most people will be softballing him questions like ‘what was your favourite goal?’ etc. I on the other hand will be demanding explanations on the Leyton Orient debacle! 😂

Just when I see the Clyde chat, have I mentioned that at the moment they are costing me potentially £440K?!  Put on my usual accumulator for the 8 leagues in Scotland and England.  In 7 of 8 my selection is either 1st or 2nd.  Except Clyde.  Who are last.  Stone last.  I'm sure they can make up the 34 point gap in the second half of the season! 😪

Maybe they’ll go in a ‘Stenny’ type run.

Reminds me of a mad coupon I put on years ago. I’d had one up but half the games had been postponed so I only got about a tenner back. I decided to let it ride on the old 3 from each section the following weekend which happened to be FA cup 3rd round. With the clock ticking down all my games were up and I was in line for well over a hundred grand. Cue the old Grandstand cutting to a penalty at Leyton Orient vs West Ham. I had the hammers on my coupon and they were 1-0 up…….
unfortunately the pen was for Orient and the feckers scored it to force a replay 🙈

Ive never forgiven West Ham or Leyton Orient for it. Didn’t put another coupon on for years after it either 😂

I was there also Slasher, If I knew you where going I would have introduced myself !!

That first half was the best we (Clyde) have played all season by a long way, (that third goal scored by a premier league team and it's making the back pages)

We now have let go 7 duds (sorry lads you where too young and signed by an uninterested twat), and have brought in 3 league 1 (minimum) standard players with at least another 3 to come in during this window.

I'm confident we will slowly climb the league and avoid oblivion, with Ian McColl in charge I would put money on us getting promotion next season, he really is a manager operating below his level, after decades of Clyde having no money to piss in a pot, we now have a money man (apparently a lifelong Clyde fan) who is prepared to back the club financially (with caveats, being Championship within 5 - 7 years and a return to Glasgow)

Was good work persuading Ian McColl to join,  Looking forward to the Aberdeen cup game (even managed to talk my Celtic daft son into buying a ticket also 😀)

Should be a cracking atmosphere - allocation split is Clyde 2200 & Aberdeen 3800 (i'm pretty sure they will sell at least 2000) as would probably sell out completely if it was on the Saturday as apposed to the Friday night

    Come Away The Clyde !!!!!

Aye, the third goal was an absolute peach 👍 I think McCall will have them roaring up the table in no time.

I’m hoping to be at the cup tie as well m8 but I’ll be travelling with some of the flock so tickets will likely be in the away end but it’s not definite yet.

Shankland by his own admission says he didn’t do enough at Aberdeen & sure he said that he had attitude/maturity issues, shame coz had high hopes he’d do well for us.

Celtic won’t pay the price Aberdeen would rightly expect for Miovski, I think he would want to move to a different/better league when he does leave Aberdeen.

Personally I don’t think we’ll go for either m8. It’s probably going to be some project nobody has heard of. What kind of fee would Aberdeen be looking for just out of curiosity, £5m?

Reading now Shankland to Celtic.. Surely not.. Thought he was a rangers supporter... I know money talks. I would have him in a minute to be honest...

Shankland would be a terrible fit for us imo. He doesn’t run, doesn’t press. I’m not doubting his ability or finishing but he just doesn’t suit our style of play. I’d be very surprised if we went there plus I’ve heard some questionable things about his attitude in the past, admittedly mostly from Aberdeen fans. I think a move to Rangers would suit him better.

We’ve been linked with Miovski as well which probably would make more sense to me but I haven’t seen enough of him to say whether he’d be worth the sort of money the sheep will undoubtedly be looking for 🤷🏼‍♂️

Meanwhile, Stenny racked up their tenth win on the spin in the league on Saturday. The character in the squad is immense and again, although we weren't outstanding, we found a way to grind out the three points against the aforementioned Forfar. If we can beat second placed The Spartans away this coming Saturday I might just start dreaming of us winning our first league title in club history.

Yeah I saw that m8. Isn’t it some sort of record run outside of the big two? Funnily enough I thought about you when I saw it, hope they keep it going and get that first title win, that would be incredible!

I think you’re right about Clyde, still a lot of work to do but I think they will be ok. I’m looking forward to Cappielow, haven’t been there in years but I hope it’s a few degrees warmer 🤞🏻

I'll have you know I've had 3 cups of Aldis Jaffa Cake tea this evening.

But I'm right, both cheeks will portray the woe is me nonsense.  Spare us all!

    Ffs that sounds dreadful! 😂

Listen we all have issues with poor officiating but this is not the way to go about it. I knew at full time it would turn into what it is now, a witch hunt. It was the same after we beat them at Ibrox, days of debate about a refereeing decision. Say what you want but under Brendan Rodgers this wouldn’t happen at Celtic. I wouldn’t be fuckin having it either. Look at yourselves first. The bottom line here is deflection from failure, it’s what they do. It’s all the sorer for them because they expected to beat us both times. A wee look at Twitter or X will tell you all you need to know about what it’s become and the club have enabled and encouraged it!

  9. Operation ‘Lets Get Collum’ in full swing now online and elsewhere but don’t worry it’s for the greater good.

    Embarrassing stuff!

Any fan of any other club who is buying into this pish needs to take a long hard look at themselves. The way Rangers Fc go after individuals is disgusting and the fact that what I would term as decent Rangers fans now can’t seem to see it is disturbing.

VAR process and protocol and transparency has always been important but suddenly because the huns throw a hissyfit it now becomes urgent to address it. I would like to know personally why the head of referee’s Crawford Allan was suddenly available to meet a complainant and why the huns were granted not only a meeting but access to VAR audio when others have been denied.

Can you all actually take a minute to imagine what this would have looked like if these cunts had actually been victims of some sort of refereeing injustice?

No I wouldn't feel aggrieved because the decision has been explained and justified. You've admitted yourself, aberdeen have a case. IMO rangers do night. The incidents are chalk and cheese

You’re wasting your time. They want Collums head on a stick and they think they might have something on him here. All this pish about transparency is just a smokescreen. You only have to look at the reaction to todays penalty award for Killie. Apparently conceding on average a penalty every 60 games is normal……let’s move on etc etc 😂

Happy New Year everyone. I wish you all the very best for 2024 ❤️ Particularly good health. As you get older wealth can gtf , all you want is a cure for your bad back 😊

Was in bed at 10pm last night courtesy of a surprise birthday party the night before. I thought i was going for a meal with my daughters and partners and they had arranged family and close friends at my daughter’s house. I haven't been so pleasantly shocked since Scotland qualified for Euro 2020.

My cake. I am not sure what it says when a dug , bottle of wine and me wrapped in a Scotland flag says about my defining qualities but I don’t care 😁

Haha, that’s brilliant, what a lovely surprise!

  12. The huns have an endless capacity for embarrassing themselves. The fact that Clement made a cunt of himself with his post match comments was an added bonus.

Of course, what he and they fail to focus on amidst all this shite over how a correct decision was arrived at, is their inability to expose a defence that contained Scales, Taylor and Welsh! Three players who shouldn’t be anywhere near a Celtic squad never mind starting eleven.

Quite - It needs to be transparent - That, or vote with feet

It's a closed shop, and obvious to anyone that they do not give one fuck what supporters think

The silence from DC & AB when they should be all over these clear inconsistencies from an AFC perspective (Cheating? I'm now in that camp) is galling

My ST / DNA cost will enhance our holiday spending pot from here on in until something positive (For all clubs) changes

    Totally agree my friend.

I only saw the Duk/Goldson incident a day or two after but it’s one of the worst I’ve seen, I’m surprised DC left it to his manager he should’ve been all over it 👍
