Patterson is a complete and utter liability. Someone said the other night ‘he’s second choice and remains second choice’ after the Holland game, we best hope nothing happens to Hickey then cos he’s fuckin hopeless! This is shaping up as a disaster of a night 🙈

I don’t think Shankland did badly but we need more mobility than he offers. He had a one on one and a maybe half chance. Hit the target with one and score the other then he gives the manager a problem. He didn’t so he remains an option off the bench nothing more. Pattersons lack of defensive ability wasn’t even really tested tonight, he caused his own problems. At this point he’s not in the running to start any games or even come off the bench. Up to him to change that.

The first choice back 5 have to play 90 minutes and that’s that. Shankland is not mobile enough to be a starter. Wel’ll need to be more ruthless if we’re going to threaten to get out of the group in Deutschland! I’m logging oot and getting smashed!

The performance has fallen off a cliff now but there was a lot to be enthusiastic about in the first hour. We take the positive and learn from the rest 👍
