Thanks Wanderer. I think you are correct about EasyJet, I’m sure that’s the route we took last time and it was all pretty straightforward. I’m looking at taking Mrs Slasher this time so I doubt she’ll be too keen on 4/6 hour bus/train journeys. I’m considering a couple of packages on Kayak via Germany at the moment but I’ll wait until all Ryanair’s schedules are all out, should be within the next week or two 👍

Not having much joy atm, it’s a bit pricey. Best I can find is via Germany with Eurowings. I think I’ll wait a bit, I really don’t like hanging about for days on end after the game and that seems to be bumping up the price ☹️

Looking at this trip just now. Has anyone any experience of Lauda Europe who now seem to be flying out of Stansted direct to Zagreb? Never heard of them in ma puff 🤷🏼‍♂️ If anyone has spotted a better route feel free to share.

We don’t have any wingers worthy of a shot anyway unless you count Fraser/Wright? The problem with RWB is Ralston is a far better defender than Patterson but offers less going forward possibly. Both attributes will be equally important in Germany. It’s up to the manager to find a solution in the potential absence of Hickey, but on recent evidence Patterson is not an option imo

The GOOD NEWS is that the boys have done a grand job of managing expectations in the summer. Kudos. Also good news is that we won’t have to ‘make the play’ to the same extent against anyone in the summer. Just as well as you really need natural width to break through in these games and we don’t have it. And of course we don’t do friendlies! The bad news is the form of our best players seems to have fallen off a cliff lately. That needs to change. The manager should have given more game time to Ferguson, Shankland and Ralston imo. If Hickey is out for the summer the current version of Patterson is not an option for me! Talk of Doak etc is nonsense imo.
