  1. Need France to win or a draw now to go through
  2. I saw it on the national news last night and thought to myself, "At three o'clock on a Friday afternoon, an Ibrox stand is filled with folk welcoming a millionaire to Glasgow. Do that lot not have jobs to go to? " Then the interviews appeared. Holy feck. A line up of toothless wonders shouting "we arra peepil." The English must think Scotland is a shower of numbskulls.....
  3. I am sure the locals will love it when the Old Firm turn up, walking along the road to Murrayfield arm in arm, drinking beer with good spirited banter, singing their lovely songs together and generally having a wheeze of a time just like those chaps who come to the rugger.....
  4. Saw it at start of February and wasn't expecting too much. When I was told it was a hip hop play about the Founding Fathers, my first thought was "Oh FFS," but it was excellent and far exceeded any expectations I had. The song "no-one else was in the room when it happened" is a helluva show song.
  5. After yesterdays performance, def convinced we won't win now..... utter. fkn. shambles.
  6. Going to England game and Dublin, so probably wont see us win.....
  7. It seemed to be a vote on where the busiest walks are rather than the greatest walks. I like the lake District but its like Piccadilly Circus a lot of the time. It was a popular population vote. 5 in the top ten from the same area? Aye. Right. To have no walks from Scotland in the top 12 is ridiculous.....
  8. In the Royal Navy on a flight deck in the Arctic Circle . Beyond the top of Norway in January. Wind chill combined with minus fkn hell!!! Was wrapped up like the Michelin man and could hardly move, but my balls were still clattering like wind up false teeth.
  9. There was a young lady on Question Time last night saying exactly the same thing and she was not a Men's right nutter. In fact, if you want to call people nutters, have a good look at some of the third wave feminists. The issue of sexual harassment needs to be solved without blaming ALL men, which is the approach in some quarters right now. The initial post questioned the debate on newsnight asking what the problem is with men. By implication, that says all men have a problem, which is damaging. Some men (a lot to be fair) do behave inappropriately, but it is not all of them and if you haven't heard anyone say all men are sexist, you need to listen harder.
  10. I'm not saying men are oppressed - you are the one who took that implication from the post. All I am suggesting is balance. To have a debate called "The problem with men," is sexist and tars all men with the same brush and throws out the message all men are abusers, rapists and sexually harass women. Of course there are men who do, but it is dangerous to imply it is ALL men.
  11. I see Newsnight tonight is joining in the "all men are rapists" mantra with a section called "the problem with men." Ffs. Could they not have been a bit more accurate and found a way of saying it is certain men who have a problem? It is not all of us. The media is having a right go at the male population right now.
  12. 2-2. We have started to score again but leak like buggery in defence. I have the fear about tonight and will be watching through gaps in my fingers....
  13. The wee fud has me spitting feathers every time he speaks.....
  14. And the icing on the cake? Mundell is going to say tomorrow that independence should be taken off the table and if the SNP don't do it, the Tories will do it for them!! Oh aye. Is that right?
  15. Strachan will pick fletcher Forrest MacArthur Morrison and phillips This is definitely what will happen. He will go with what he thinks is the safest option with previously used players. He maybe change things if it doesn't go our way, but it could be too late by then. There is not a chance in hell he will start McGinn and mcgregor. His reluctance to call up mcgregor doesn't point to him starting. It will be the same old same old with Forrest struggling to get the ball past the first man. Losing three players like brown, Armstrong and Ritchie is a gift to Slovakia. They will be delighted Brown is out..... I was looking forward to Thursday, but now I have the fear.....
  16. It's becoming frustrating one of our most effective players is not getting game time. when he does play, Liverpool fans like him. I don't get it. I was planning to watch the game tonight if he was in the squad, but it looks like I will be tuning into the Leeds game....
  17. On a ski lift in Bardonnechia, Italy a few years ago. Big John Jeffries. My 10 year old wean had no idea who he was but definitely knows now.... met him later in a cafe and mentioned to some English folk I had met who he was. I should have kept my mouth shut instead of pointing out a man who was part of that grand slam team.... fkn magic!!!!!
  18. The French players were no double looking at the massive Scottish support and thinking "quelle le fook? Regardez tous Les Ecossais!" It must have disconcerted them....
  19. We were mixed in with French fans too, although it was mainly Scotland supporters. When the goal went in, there was a moment of disbelief then someone said, "fk me. Is that a goal?" Then the place went tonto. There were so many of us there that night, it was like a home game. And the noise? I will never forget the sound as long as I live. France pumped us after the goal, but couldn't score. Gordon was magnificent that night and definitely kept the score at 1-0. Without doubt, the happiest away game I have been to. We walked down the champs Elysee next day to handshakes and smiles from the French. A great trip...
  20. His diagonal pass yesterday leading to the goal was superb. He also looks fit and full of fight.
  21. This. When was the last time we still had it in our own hands with two games to go? It's been a while. We are usually well oot by noo....
