  1. That would be my guess although I’m not convinced he’d take Hanley and Souttar. Both have had a bit of a stop start season.
  2. New home top apparently.
  3. Greater degree of pick up always seems like a great idea but ultimately requires personnel and would add extra cost. There will always be harvesting etc but the current system is as good as it gets in my opinion. We’ve all got a story about missing out on certain games and whether we like it or not the answer is to pick a random away game and start building the points up. Levelling up is an awful idea.
  4. Last update I saw was in January when Russell Martin said he was still on crutches. Really unlucky and as you say highly unlikely he’ll play again this season.
  5. Hanley off the bench today to make a long awaited comeback.
  6. Any small chance Ross Stewart had of making the Euros has gone now as he’s been ruled out for the rest of the season.
  7. Good to see Ross Stewart back. March friendlies would be perfect opportunity for him if he stays fit.
  8. Still a couple of weeks till Stewart is due to feature in squads for Southampton so November games probably just a bit too early for him. March friendlies would be more realistic. I’m quite looking forward to seeing him return.
  9. Went to book it yesterday and it’s no longer available.
  10. Where did you get details of this? I can’t find anything on their site.
  11. Fraser Hornby, remember him? On really good goalscoring form on loan at Oostende. Finally getting a run of games and injury free, still only 23. Worth keeping an eye on.
  12. Tommy Conway with a goal on his return from injury.
  13. Dykes played for QPR at the weekend so I reckon he’ll make it with one of Nisbet/Shankland.
  14. Ross Stewart back in from the start for Sunderland today.
  15. Wouldn’t be so sure, I seem to recall Daryl Broadfoot discussing him on Sportsound at the start of Clarke’s reign and stated that Hanley took a bit convincing to come back into the fold due to some of the abuse he’d taken earlier in his career.
  16. Going to be really interesting to see the profile of subsequent squads after the success of this triple header. Barring emergencies I think we’ve seen the last of O Donnell and possibly Cooper. I could see Hanley jacking it in as well if he’s only coming along as a squad player.
  17. 100% this. A show of our depth that we managed without him, absolutely no doubt in my mind he’d have performed if required but he needs to concentrate on getting himself some game time at Brighton without any added pressure. He’ll be fine and will be back to his old(young)self by the time we get together again.
  18. Obviously a blow to lose so many players but it’s a massive indication of how much depth we have that we still have be so many options to call upon. On form alone I’d want to see Gallagher come in at the back but think Kingsley will get the nod as he’s left sided. Midfield doesn’t overly concern me as Gilmour, McLean or Jack are all able deputies for McTominay.
  19. I’d agree, don’t think we need another midfielder called up since we have McLean Jack and Gilmour but I’d like to have seen a wide player or striker added.
  20. Totally agree re Gallagher, suffered due to Hanley rebirth and an awful spell at Aberdeen.
  21. Declan Gallagher and Josh Doig called up as replacements for Patterson and Turnbull. Gallagher well deserved, never let Scotland down in the past and has been immense this season.
  22. Missed out this time on tickets for the Shed which would be our normal pre match haunt. Any advice of a decent pub in Glasgow to attend ahead of Saturday’s game?
  23. It’s a fair point, I’ve a feeling our game against Ireland will be under threat.
