  1. Think he means a female journalist. Cant remember her name but hes ripped the psih out her a few times. Edited: Siobhan McFadyen is her name
  2. Would that extra tax income been missed off the GERS figures that year? And if its included now, how does that affect the Scottish deficit as a % of GDP vs UK deficit as a % of GDP?
  3. For me its solely the choice of beer - I cant think of anything else I find appealing about them? If youre in a smaller place like Ayr or Airdrie you arent going to get a decent choice of ale unless you go to Wetherspoons. Just seems to be the way it is up here.
  4. Its closed - they did have a good selection of ale, but not as good as Bon Accord I dont think? To be honest the best selection of draught beer (cask and keg) in Glasgow is probably that Wetherspoons at George Square.
  5. Would agree with this if youre at Central Station - its a lovely old pub and the boy who runs it is brand new. Always have decent ale on tap. The Toby Jug is horrendous. Like a head office for shoplifters.
  6. Not necessarily - they had the lowest budget in the league (or thereabouts) and the manager has them top 4 all season. With a lot more cash he might be able to keep them up.
  7. Ive lived in both Manchester and Glasgow - know exactly what you mean.
  8. Yeah sorry thats kinda the point I was trying (and failing) to make - if he wasnt confident enough to take a penalty in a season where he scored 40 goals, he probably shouldnt take one one in a season where he's scored very little and been largely anonymous.
  9. He did yes. He also didnt take one of the initial five penalties when huddersfield were in the play off final in 2012 - which is incredible when you consider he scored 40 goals that season.
  10. He doesnt get much service really, to be fair to him. Wednesday have been ridiculously defensive this season compared to last.
  11. Corby wouldnt vote SNP anyway, even if it was only Scots polled!
  12. I feel a bit similar about these type of programmes. Maybe not so much for the election, but for a future referendum Id like to see more non-politicians on debate panels - academics for example. Politicians just rattle out too many soundbites IMO............"Dragged out fo EU against our will", "Sturgeon should get back to the day job", etc etc
  13. Remember the pie stall (I think) in the old east stand getting "attacked" by England fans at half time. I was in West Stand and remember them all running up the terracing in a big wave. What was that all about?? Also remember Viccy Road being a bit fiery afterwards
  14. Time to do away with the national team. Scotland does not need another divisive qualification campaign.
  15. Interesting reply from the Tory regarding "permission for a referendum" - would they really be that daft??? Dugdale refusing to stick up for the will of the Scottish people. No wonder their poll rating is plummeting.
  16. It was in 2007, when it had no chance of getting thru Holyrood due to minority government. It wasn't in 2011 manifesto, or 2016
  17. 2 ties still to play - 5th round draw is next tuesday at 1pm
  18. If Id travelled over from Norway to find my ticket had ended up being given to someone else, and no-one seemed willing to do anything about it, my language would also be a bit "colourful".
  19. Aye fair enough its no bad. The Halfway House up the stairs from Market St is OK too, if you can cope with the smell of p*sh from the place next door
  20. Is it?? I thought it was all trains. I mustve looked a right f*d last saturday night on the Cross Country, when i was hiding an open beer under the table between Berwick and Edinburgh
