  1. I'm also on the lookout for 4 tickets. In the unlikely event anyone has spares I'll be in Oslo from the Thursday evening.
  2. That'll be it then! I had a look through some of the SSC emails and couldn't see a time, must've missed it. Thanks for replying, I can relax now.
  3. I've logged in to my SSC account, but it says the membership is unavailable as you need to have purchased the previous period of membership. I did and checked my purchase history to make sure and it's listed there. Is anyone else seeing the same problem?
  4. A mate of mine managed to get it to work by splitting his order up into batches of no more than 3 tickets at a time and that worked for him. Might be worth a try for those who are still seeing problems.
  5. Not been working all day with my credit card, worked first time with my wife's. Same credit card company, different banks, so perhaps the issue lies there.
  6. Good luck, but I've done that and no joy.
  7. Still can't get the tickets, back to the original problem with credit card validation.
  8. Looks like this means the website thinks it's under attack.
  9. Have tried umpteen times, keep getting "There has been a problem with the credit card validation. Please try again."
  10. You just need the QR codes, you scan them at the turnstile.
  11. Don't know what the Czech allocation was and their section in the east stand was very sparse so could have been that or corporates or volunteers. Still disappointing to have sub-10,000 at a home game at our first tournament in 23 years. If the Croatia game turns out to be meaningless it could be half that.
  12. There were no ID checks today, just the tickets on your mobile followed by a security check with a wand. There were no food and drink kiosks open, though water was freely available from them in paper cups. Merchandise stalls were open outside Hampden, but inside the security fence.
  13. The announcement at Hampden gave the official attendance as 9,847. Given the capacity is meant to be 12,500, where were the other 2,700 fans? We got our tickets in the UEFA sale on Friday for the north stand, the section we were in had loads of seats marked with the green tick unused. I'm pretty sure in non-Covid times this would've been a 52,000 sell-out. Why was the crowd so low? Unsold tickets due to pricing, no-shows, fear of Covid-19, something else?
  14. That's a fantastic photo of the Empire Exhibition. According to this site - https://pastmap.org.uk/map - the one nearest Ibrox is the Albion Greyhound Race Course (now a car park) and the other is White City Sports Ground (now a police station across the road from the Palace of Arts). A couple of other pictures of both here: https://canmore.org.uk/site/297800/glasgow-paisley-road-white-city-sports-ground https://canmore.org.uk/site/297806/glasgow-broomloan-road-albion-greyhound-race-course
  15. My wife and I went to Reykjavik in October last year for a few days. We didn't hire a car, we got the bus from Keflavik airport, it stops at various points on the way and at lots of places in Reykjavik itself. We stayed at the Sand Hotel on Laugavegur - it was nice, centrally located, but quite expensive. Round the hotel is the main touristy area so there are lots of things to see in walking distance. There are a few other hotels in that area, lots more, including the hotel chains, are a little further out towards the football stadium. We did one of the bus tours which goes round the Golden Circle taking in national parks, geysirs, Gullfoss waterfalls, the secret lagoon. I can't remember the name of the company we used, but there lots which do it all with variations on what they visit. There are other tours to other places nearby as well. In Reykjavik itself there's lots to see, the cathedral, maritime museum, Harpa concert hall, Sun Voyager, phallalogical museum. Next to the football ground is Laugardaslaug, a huge heated outdoor swimming pool complex, with lots of thermal pools round it. There are loads of places to eat and drink, a few really good bakeries and cafes as well. At the cheap end is the Chuck Norris grill - wings, ribs, etc, no more expensive for that sort of thing than here. At the other end of the scale, I'd recommend Meat, it was fantastic, but well over £100 a head for dinner. Lots of pubs so it depends on your taste, we liked Den Danske Kro, traditional pub, decent beer, live music from local singers. Bastard Brew is a modern microbrewery, food was okay, beer not bad, but poor service, hipster central if that's your thing. If your return flight is leaving early as ours was, I'd recommend the Hotel Berg in Reykjanesbaer. It's modern, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced and they'll taxi you to the airport at any time you like, it's only 5 minutes away. You can get a bus from Reykjavik to Reykjanesbaer, it's a few minutes walk from the stop to the hotel. Enjoy your trip, it's a great place to visit.
