  1. Aye, very good news Patterson's back earlier than expected from injury 👍 I'd really like to see Ferguson given a start in central midfield in this upcoming game.
  2. Good to see Patterson make a swift return only a couple of weeks ago he was reported to still be facing several weeks out. I would have no objection to seeing Tommy Conway in the squad to face Turkey. Good to have a young striker coming through. The U21s aren't playing in November are they ?
  3. That new Friday night MOTDX show on the BBC is even worse. It's a horrible program to watch. Inane filler material, appalling background music, inarticulate Z list celebrity guests and presenter Jermaine Jenas laughing nervously between long awkward pauses in conversation. How not to do a football show.
  4. Saw a mention of Ross Stewart further up. He won't be playing, he's injured. Tony Mowbray also said recently it will be December, perhaps as late as Christmas, before Stewart is back in action for Sunderland.
  5. I hope Clarke is thinking of the future and calls up Ramsay rather than Cadden or McGinn or O'Donnell to fill this temporary vacancy in the right back spot.
  6. It would appear that quite a few of us want to see Calvin Ramsay involved, let's hope he is 👍 Klopp said during the week that he has been impressed with not only Ramsay's skills in training but also his attitude. Good to hear.
  7. Stuart Armstrong and Ryan Christie too 👍 Give Craig Gordon the first half but then give Liam Kelly the full second half.
  8. Don't understand why some folk want him called up. Non-entity of a player. Would be a waste of a cap.
  9. It's better to take along inexperienced or uncapped players in that case for the experience rather than unnecessary ageing players unlikely to get a game. That was Craig Brown's attitude for a long time and it was a big mistake on his part.
  10. Came across as very doom and gloom to me. Also helps if you can get the players names right. The game against Turkey is a friendly match and not a competitive game. After that we won't be playing again until March next year. There is nothing to panic about. Against Turkey, I would like to see Liam Kelly given forty five minutes in goal and Calvin Ramsay given twenty or thirty minutes off the bench. Maybe also a start for Lewis Ferguson. I also would not select Kenny McLean or Grant Hanley any longer. I really do think we need to move on from them.
  11. Didn't take too long for someone to resort to doom and gloom did it ? These things happen. It should also be remembered that some of our players have put in good performances for Scotland despite limited game time or questionable form at their clubs. This upcoming game against Turkey is also a chance for players like Ryan Porteous, Lewis Ferguson and possibly also Alan Campbell, Calvin Ramsay and Dominic Hyam to show what they are capable of.
  12. Poor Malcolm in his six bedroom house with garden and garage that he always likes to remind us about. My heart fuckin bleeds for him and his family. Not.
  13. "Aye weel. Looks like it's back doon the bru fir me ken."
  14. "Geez a joab, gawn geez a joab. Yir club needing a wee lift ? I'll gie ya a wee lift ! Geez the joab."
  15. Surely it's got to be a foreign manager ? No way they'd go for David Martindale (aka Jimmy Calderwood Mk. II) and I can't see see them going for Robbie Neilson either. They also won't go for Steve Clarke who has made it crystal clear in the past what he thinks of the bigots in the Rangers support.
  16. Vincent Angelini and I are distantly related 😀 Angus Gunn does not want to play for Scotland. He's turned us down at least three times in the past and has publicly said he feels English, not Scottish. It's all been settled.
  17. Are there any Scottish goalies playing in the Scottish Championship that we could look at as back-ups ? That's desperate, I freely admit, but it's not all that inconceivable that one or even two goalies from the Scottish Championship could get called up next year if Gordon and/or Kelly get injured. Ross Doohan is playing regularly for Tranmere, but it is in English League Two.
  18. Some people may have noticed a few weeks ago Clarke gave an interview where he actually said he was looking for new goalkeepers and was more than willing to use the granny rule to get one. Blackpool's Welsh born goalie Chris Maxwell (played for Hibs) is eligible for us via the grandparent rule Don't shoot the messenger !
  19. We are going to be missing quite a few players for this upcoming friendly against Turkey. Calum McGregor, Aaron Hickey, Nathan Patterson, John Souttar and Ross Stewart all out injured for several weeks. Although David Turnbull and Jacob Brown should be recovered from their present injuries by the time this game comes around, will they be 100% fit ? Probably a good chance for Lewis Ferguson, Alan Campbell and Ryan Porteous to get further caps and maybe debuts for Calvin Ramsay and Dominic Hyam ?
  20. Thank you. I'm glad to read that. I'm absolutely not calling for Danny Armstrong to be in the squad to play Turkey but I think he is one to keep an eye on, he may be a bit of a late developer.
  21. Strictly speaking, it's not remaking the '31 film, it's the third adaption of Remarque's original novel. The Big Parade, Westfront 1918, Le Grande Illusion, Le Croix des Bois are all magnificent and harrowing films about WWI made during the inter war years by people who had actually seen it in person.
  22. Jack Hendry was back in action for Cremonese the other night. Had missed a few games through injury. BTW Is Kilmarnock's Danny Armstrong Scottish or English ?
  23. Just read this by Phil McNulty on the BBC website "Gerrard's position had been precarious for weeks, with poor results adding to the uneasy nature of his relationship with Villa's support, who surprisingly simply never warmed to a personality who had deservedly won a reputation as an inspirational leader as Liverpool captain and manager at Ibrox, where he achieved iconic status for stopping Celtic winning 10 titles in a row. " 🤣🤣🤣
  24. Interesting to see what former TAMBers Rolling Hills and Blue Gaz actually looked like.
