  1. Scots_Wha_Hae Can you change the post to ( Youth Progress 2023 / 2024 season ) ?? Will be interesting to see how many of these lads big the big step up
  2. Fantastic post 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 So many players of very high quality ⬆️
  3. But to answer the question - No they are not Some good players but nowhere near that of Scotland
  4. Correct, if Wales win their last 2 games they will Qualify and what an achievement that will be! Away to Armenia who already beat Wales 4-2 in Cardiff and the final group game against group leaders Turkey who imo need to take something from the game to qualify……. Croatia imo will win their last 2 games to go on 16 points and Croatia have the better head to head result over Turkey! So if Croatia win out and Wales win out then Turkey are eliminated, don’t think this will happen as for Wales to take maximum points from the last 2 games is a big ask……
  5. Other than bbc sport live text, how’s Ben Doak playing ??
  6. Tierney had a very good game going by reports, watched the highlights and Tierney was subbed on the hour mark - not quite up to full match fitness yet apparently! How Real Sociedad didn’t win that match is baffling, after Tierney was subbed Inter grew into the game and got a very late goal. Here’s hoping Tierney is 100% match fit for Spain game 🤞
  7. Looks like Hornby played the full 90 minutes albeit a loss Here’s hoping he can resurrect his career! Almost sure he was at Everton years ago and was fairly good with Scotland U21’s 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  8. Excuse my ignorance, I’ve had a look for the extent McTominay’s injury? Unable to find out through various searches Is he still injured or now totally out of favour ??
  9. Scott McTominay is a very very good player and imo played out of position at Man.Utd with the fans getting on his back all too often, with them all living in previous glory with Scholes Giggs Keane Beckham etc He has mentioned several times in the past that he used to play a more advanced role when he was younger! Certain TA were all too critical when he was played as a Centre Half Most definitely a player for the future with Scotland and whatever Premiership Club that chooses to pick him 👌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  10. Haaland current injury would be better timed around Scotland match away or if Man City make the Champions League Final on Sat 10th June, the week before he plays us he might call off after a week of partying!? But as previously mentioned, starve him of service then he won’t get as many chances🙏 Haven’t checked what his record is like with Norway and call offs ?? Now that he’s at Man City I’m sure he’s called off before…….

    Ben Doak

S.Clarke has to select him for the Full Squad and get him away from Gemmill, he’ll learn f**k all in the U21’s with that clown in charge!
  12. Zinchenko a very good player Is he better than Tierney, imo No
  13. My understanding is Arteta favours Zinchenko over Tierney, they say Zinchenko offers more going forward But it all came about with Tierney’s injury and Arsenal went out and bought imo Zinchenko as cover but now seems Zinchenko favoured instead….. Hoping Scott McTominay runs over Zinchenko today and allows Tierney another run in the Team
  14. Also agree, S.Clarke gave McBurnie more than his fair chance to shine for the Dark Blue 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I’d say Scotlands options up front are from C.Adams L.Dykes J.Brown R.Stewart K.Nisbet L.Shankland And I can’t see Clarke picking all 6 from above, meaning McBurnie is not even remotely close - not even worthy of a mention……..
  15. Also watched the last game and thought the same thing! Why has he left Lowry on the bench, okay he didn’t start but at least give the lad some minutes and his style of play may have got Scotland out of their own box in the second half !! On paper it looked an okay result but it wasn’t until you saw that game, especially that 2nd half it was horrific…….
  16. broraboy

    U21s

I tried to find out where Anderson + Fiorini were ? is this confirmed they are injured ??
  17. Agree with McGregor or McTominay 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍 As for Dykes, recall the Penalty against Austria - although he scored, it was a stinker! Correct me if I’m wrong, think he also missed a Penalty against Israel But it kinda depends who’s confident / comfortable at that moment in time
  18. Will defo be 100% pick-up imo Similar to Austria away, with it being such short notice!!
  19. I’d have Rhodes and Fraser both in the next Squad, with it (you hope) being a 28-30 man squad
  20. Cometh the Hour Jordan Rhodes scores a big big goal for Huddersfield and the fans chanting his name of old 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Seen another dimension to his game tonight by defending set pieces
  21. Is there a chance, something I read earlier about Tierney Kieran Tierney’s injury has been a huge blow for Arsenal and the first choice left-back looks as though his season is all but over following the news that he will require knee surgery after feeling some discomfort following a training session. The Scotland international has been ruled out of Arsenal’s last six fixtures and it was clear that they missed him after the first three of those ended in defeat. Tierney will now focus on regaining fitness ahead of Scotland’s World Cup play-offs in June. Speaking on April 5, Arteta said: “Kieran felt discomfort after a training session on Thurs. A specialist consultation took place, and as a result of further discussions, it has been decided that he requires [knee] surgery.”
  22. Maybe the word reluctantly isn’t correct, would say he’s a certainty to be included though with the amount of injuries in that department. Will also be a larger squad Che Adams, Ryan Christie, Lyndon Dykes, Jacob Brown, Ross Stewart No Ryan Fraser, James Forrest or Kevin Nesbitt though as all injured Reluctantly I’d maybe use for Oli McBurnie but he’s injured I believe
  23. McTominay isn’t a Centre Half and although he has played there, it was due to lack of cover! I’d play McKenna before McTomminay as a Centre Half, as good as McTominay is - he is lacking on aerial presence within the box on crosses and set pieces
  24. There isn’t a chance in hell he’ll play domestic football back in Scotland, be it on loan or via a transfer!! If Chelsea’s season fizzles out which is the way it’s going then Thomas Tuchel will take Gilmour back to Chelsea for pre season and give him the opportunity to impress up until the transfer window and then decisions will be made imo As mentioned earlier, possibly Fulham or Bournemouth for another stint out on loan if Chelsea decide to farm him out again?!? Fulham would be a good fit with it being a London Club, here’s hoping Gilmour arrives / turns up in June and gives us some big performances 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
