Totally agree. These competitions become boring and pointless if it's always the same few teams. Look at the Champions league if you need a perfect example. Pretty sure the viewing figures for it must be declining as time goes on, especially in countries like Scotland or Belgium where the clubs don't regularly participate.

The problem is that there are quite a few diddies that claim to support Thistle because they don't actually follow football but want to be one of the gang. I had one in my work and he didn't half shite himself when I asked specific questions about the squad. Admitted all my info was from Google, but I don't hide who I support. There is also a real Thistle fan in the work and we do ask him occasionally as a wind up. It's funny. 😁

Maybe marginally. There's a bizarre bunch of folk born in Scotland who identify as Northern Irish or Southern Irish. I don't get it but it's a thing. The Celtic fans at the game are marginally worse as they don't identify as Wrexhamites, I would think.
