Apart from the result yesterday, what has me more optimistic is the depth we have in our pool of players, there were a lot of “certain starters” missing and yet those who came in looked more than capable even better in some aspects,, then you have those not called up, gauld, russell, jack, along with a few others. They would not look out of place and in other years would have been in the mix. We are in a good place 👍

Hes solid and you know what you get from him, thats why hes always in the squad, he suites specific games more than others, i thought yesterdays game would suite his style/ability,, you obviously have young talented players in his position so i guess he may well end up out of favour long term but he has done brilliantly for us

With regard to SOD and Paterson its a good situation to be in,, SOD is reliable and does “a job” paterson has that little extra and plays off the cuff so to speak,, with age Patterson will develop into a top class player i have no doubt. I think SOD is the better option for denmark tbh

I am not overly fussed in this particular case, maybe because hes playing abroad but if this helps him develope into a top player then i am all for it,, the commitment bit is worry however,, he may well be getting pressure from the manager to stay in Italy
