  1. If we had defended better in the last campaign we would have qualified. Anya as a full back would be great to watch but it would cost us goals, especially at set pieces as we don't have much height middle to front to compensate.
  2. Hutton awful on MOTD. I'm starting to wonder if we should put Martin there and have Hanley and Mulgrew at centre half. Tierney looks like he could go straight in at left back, although I thought Wallace looked good against Hibs.
  3. I think that confirms it's a done deal.
  4. Injured. He'll play for Scotland and score goals from midfield.
  5. He may have that in his locker, but we need him to keep our rythmn going by receiving the ball under pressure and playing a quick short pass (the stuff that looks easy but isn't).
  6. Martin started at right back. I wish we had a third centre half to call on.
  7. Forrest transformed the game. It's all about opinions.
  8. He has to fight out with Ryan Jack to be captain of the next Euro campaign.
  9. Assuming everyone fit, especially Brown, who I don't believe was in our last few qualifiers. If Lewis Macleod can get a long run of games he could replace Brown. Gauld, Fraser in the mix too. Marshall Hutton Martin Hanley Tierney McGinn Brown Forrest Snodgrass Fletcher O'Halloran
  10. Second is possible, but I wouldn't be confident in a play off.
  11. Any proof of these agent claims or even a link or source?
  12. Tierney looks like a more natural defender, although Robertson will certainly get better. We do need to think defence first though. Height at set pieces is also an issue for us.
  13. If we had another decent centre half, Russell Martin could play RB. That said, Hutton is getting a good run of games and he ought to benefit from that.
  14. Paterson is a good footballer - bit he's got a fair bit to go to be an international fullback.
  15. Forrest and Tierney were superb in that game. The rest of the team was mince.
  16. O'Halloran can play striker. More importantly, if Fletcher can play facing the goal i.e. as second striker or advance midfielder I think he'll score a lot more goals. He spent the whole campaign desperately trying to flick the ball to anyone in range or holding it up (and did a good job). If he could link up with someone who can really occupy defenders, he'll have a better chance of getting in the box and scoring.
  17. Fletcher can supply them. I still fancy O'Halloran as the man to do the running. He's like lightning and strong too. I agree Allan's pass was fantastic. If he can bulk up and play every week he has a chance to be in the squad.
  18. I'd have thought a run out in some league games to keep him match ready should have been done. His pass for Griffiths is as good as I've seen in ages, but he did cost them the game.
  19. If Celtic had a quick powerful striker (a bit like a fit Tony Watt) they'd have won that game.
  20. Forrest and Tierney were very good. Allan needs games and could either be a star or disappear.
  21. I watched the extended highlights against St Johnstone on Alba (great show, 2 fifty minute highlights per weekend), anyway Souttar looked good but not involved enough. O'Halloran was impressive.
  22. The last one would have been great with the proper badge. The new ones are "an Australian's nightmare".
