  1. I wonder if McTominay has been considered up front. I'm not massively in favour but I don't see the harm in trying. He's got the pace and strength and his youth years as a winger would be helpful. He's not always the most influential in midfield in terms of dictating play but his goals and energy are. These may be transferable skills and a good way to fit Ferguson or McGregor into the team. Probably a bit late now to test for the Euros.
  2. Regarding our recent poor results, honestly, I think this is a good thing. Being long in the tooth, it is fairly clear that Scotland do best when they're feeling the heat and need to roll their sleeves up. I'm thinking Sweden 90, Holland 78 and various other less memorable occasions. When we're angry and under pressure, bring it on. We've got the players to do it, of that I have no doubt.
  3. Yeah, I was trying to find the result. SFA very quiet on it. 2-3 loss. Stark needs to go. This group needs a proper manager. We don’t want a shambles of a set up that sees dual nationals leaving, and we need proper preparation for the first team. Arguably the best of these players most likely skip the u21s.
  4. No goalkeeper saves that. Gilmour should have closed down the shot. Otherwise, a really good performance from the team.
  5. Yeah I agree with that. It might seem crazy, but if Fraser doesn't make the Euros, Bowie could be a good option on the right wing. Big, strong, fairly quick and good feet. I was impressed with his attitude, a real determination and confidence about him. King strolled it, and needs to sort out first team football next season one way or another. Conway looked like a good conventional striker. A bit of fire about him, and he is also quick.
  6. Leon King is very impressive on the right of the three centre backs. So composed and reads the game very well
  7. Now 3-1. We've been not great in this game. Individually alright but collectively a bit too far apart from each other and the odd bad decision on the ball. Also poor use of subs, they're quite clearly blowing out their arses in last 15 minutes. Italy haven't been great either.
  8. 2 - 0. Bavidge knew he was about to be subbed so failed to even attempt to close down his man, then they get up and score. Also got a yellow for dissent.
  9. Currently 1 - 0 Italy. Goalkeeping blunder - he's looked dodgey on several prior occasions.
  10. U19 link for those w##iking from home 😂
  11. The u19s play Italy today in an u19 Elite Round qualifier. Wilson, Bavidge and One is a pretty exciting selection of strikers to choose from.
  12. Yip, some people on here seem to think he doesn't belong at that level, but he's invariably the best player on the park in the big games. The stats would probably show he was again today. Vital clearance that led to the winning goal, slide rule assist and the opener, all against a very good side.
  13. Probably to have a look at the 4 and decide on final 3.
  14. It won't go well with a kilt.
  15. I think this was meant as ball into feet (and head) to link up play. He was unbelievably good at flicking balls on to send the striker clean through.
  16. Rumours on a Rangers forum from a seemingly reliable source that Man Utd want to buy Nathan Patterson.
  17. I would say back to goal then turning and shooting or playing in an inch perfect pass. He was also two footed so could turn either way and shoot just as well with either foot. His football brain was his biggest asset.
  18. I think McCrorie’s best chance would be the right sided centre back in a three. I don’t think it will happen for the Euros, but maybe in the seasons ahead.
  19. Tierney should stay in Spain. Probably his best chance of being ready for the Euros.
  20. A bit like the modern Superman films? Superhero film makers are afraid of primary colours. It’s all dark tones with Man of Steel this and Dark Knight that. It’s fucking Superman and Batman! Sorry, what were we talking about?
  21. The internet was talking about today as “Epstein Distraction Day”, lo and behold lethal explosions in Iran with over 100 dead. Supposedly Epstein worked for Mossad so they had dirt on our politicians and therefore unequivocal support.
  22. The current home one is not too far off the 78 one. Much better than the horrendous Euro 96 effort, for example.
  23. I don’t think it’s too bad. Three months in most cases is what I’m reading, although some tears can take longer. I may be wrong, but it’s not an injury that affects speed or turning per se, like tendons and ligaments, but it is required to absorb the shock of these actions. I’ve had a torn meniscus repaired myself (don’t know if it was the lateral one) but I was never fast and milk turned quicker.
  24. He very much is playing regular EPL games. He’s looking physically stronger than last season, too.
  25. I think he must have grown till about 22 or so. We’ve not seen much of him since. He’s filled out a lot and looks like he could really command his box. Allan McGregor was second choice at 25. I think McCrorie could have a great career provided he gets first team football soon.
