  1. He showing a still of a straight leg challenge on the back of McCrorie's knee to plead his innocence about being red carded. He really is an absolute clown. Why are Hibs manager's constantly defending this clown instead of sorting him out. He has/had good potential and had the makings of a quick and technical CB but is just an utter bamn.
  2. A Couple of amazing moments to shows his excellent technique and vision. If Lowry develops like we hope (2/3 years time) a midfield involving Lowry as a CAM and Gilmour as a CM/CDM, would be ridiculous to think of. Both having ridiculous technique and a completely different playing style to Scottish football. Then add Turnbull, McGinn and another midfielder and you could have a narrow 4-2-3-1. Basically a Scottish team that dominates the ball due to superior technique and passing.
  3. He reminds me of Aribo. Just effortless technique. I'll be shocked and very disappointed if he isn't part of the squad rotation at Rangers next season. Far too good for the B team or a championship loan.
  4. That Long is supposed to be very highly rated. He played about 5/6 games for Lincoln when he was 18 at the start of the season. There is talk that he could be their number 1 starting next season.
  5. By the far best draw on quarter final we could've hoped for. They are a very good side but they are a level below everyone else in the draw. Just like they'll be happy they got us. The semi final draw is probably the worst draw, no easy draw mind. 2 very good teams. I was hoping for West ham/Lyon. West Ham are good but not Liepzig/Atalanta and Lyon aren't great at the minute. I felt at Ibrox we gave them far too much respect.
  6. He is playing well below his level. So I'm not surprised that he is considered their best ever loanee. I'm honestly surprised Newcastle loaned him to League 2.
  7. Indeed that young and hungry top tier shithawk of a manager is in charge of our u19s. Mind when he nearly got the the big job 🤣
  8. Some strange selections but it's probably more to do with fostering the club type atmosphere as you say. That being said one of O'Donnell/Patterson should have been dropped. While Marshall has been absolutely rank rotten anytime he's played this season. I'd also say we are maybe a CB short aswell.
  9. Tbh unlike playing for England I am ok with that. Outside of him and his younger brother who was born up here his entire family are from the Ivory Coast. He just happened to be born in England with Ivorian parents and then lived in Scotland his whole live. It was clearly as day why he was playing for England from day 1, with the ivory coast call up its his heritage and family.
  10. To win the league we'd probably need to win every game and I don't see it tbh. This team is absolutely knackered and if we manage to get through on Thursday that will only add to it. It's hard enough playing Hibs, Hearts, Livi, etc without having to play them dead on your feet. The international break will be good for 4 it 5 players to get a rest but pretty much everybody else will be traveling all over the globe during it.
  11. Lowry came on for the final 5 minutes today and immediately set up Rangers third goal. He showed great composure and timing to hold off on playing the through ball and timed it perfectly for Sakala. The lad has a massive future and I get the feeling he is being prepped to be a squad player for next season. We did similar with Patterson at 18. Lowry like Patterson was promoted to first team training post winter break at 18. Both involved in some matchday squads untill the end of that season, though Lowry has played a few more times than Patterson did in that same period. Then promoted to understudy at the start of the next season. Hopefully this is his trajectory for the start of next season. That said I do feel like Lowry could have been involved in a few more games. Lowry just has such natural technique and great vision that he could've helped in certain games. Don't get me wrong he is a massive work in progress and has a ways to go with the physical side and off the ball work but he does have that X-factor on the ball that makes you jump off your seat. While he nowhere near his level yet, he reminds me a lot of Joe Aribo. He has that effortless technique, were he can skip past 2/3 players with just dropping his shoulder while also being taller (6ft) than what someone of his playstyle usually is.
  12. It's a comparison in the sense to show you that a lesser budget can go a very long way. A team with your clubs budget can easily dispatch Celtic, beat AZ Alkmaar and destroy Roma. They also went unbeaten in their league 2 seasons ago spending less than Rosenberg. There is no reason that Aberdeen, Hibs or Hearts after a few seasons of Europa League/conference group stages, improve their squads and close the gap a bit. Will they win it probably not but with a proper infrastructure and recruitment they can massively improve and get closer while enjoying big European nights every season. I really don't see the negative of us going higher in the coefficient table. Trabzonspor are currently winning their league despite spending significantly less than multiple Turkish sides. Leicester winning the league are another example of what a far smaller budget can do when you recruit properly.
  13. There is a massive gap but these gaps can be closed. Spend doesn't always equate quality. Teams on a fraction of the budget of Celtic have regularly beat them in Europe. Bodo have a a smaller/similar budget to Aberdeen and walked through Celtic. Norway also has a higher cost of living than Scotland. Makes their small spend even more impressive.
  14. With good investment and proper recruitment it can happen. An extra £3 million spent a year on players and wages wisely can go a very long way. It's happened in other leagues who have 2/3 teams who usually dominate.
  15. Well whoever finishes third/wins the Scottish cup will get guaranteed group stage football for the next few years. They'll making £3 million+ for that alone before adding in wins/draw prize money, 10 year coefficient payment and gate receipts. Will be well over £5 million to whichever club it is. If a team like Hearts finished third 3 years running with £15 million (and the right signings) they could massively improve their squads and challenge the duopoly.
  16. Jack gave away a pen but had quite a good game. He makes a massive difference to the Rangers midfield in Europe.
  17. Yeah it's a bit of a surprise they loaned him to league 2 with Bristol Rovers. He's atleast top end league 1 level at this age. Maybe even championship.
  18. He was one of the best players in the league when he was playing under Howe at one point a few years ago. Good to see Howe's bringing out the best in Fraser again.
  19. Apparently both clubs will be making the same as 1 year of our TV deal for this tournament. If this doesn't wake people up about how poor our TV deal is nothing will. Doncaster and all around him need to be put out to pasture.
  20. Aye on paper it's probably the best time after Galatasary and Spartak. It's one of those though we're it seems like the best on paper but the reality could be very different. I'm just hoping we can finally take that next step and make it to the quarters. I
  21. Only 8 call ups in the last squad outside of the Ukrainian league. I'm sure they'll still be able to call up Ukrainian league players. They sadly though won't have been able to train or play for a month.
  22. Ahh. I thought you were meaning the record of it now been 18 years this Celtic last won a knockout stage game.
  23. 3 years running into the last 16 of the Europa League. Considering the joke we were in Europe pre Gerrard it's some turnaround.
  24. You're going back around 20 years for the Celtic run. That isn't modern day. Though that was an amazing result and run. Beating sporting away was a great result and part of a great run, but it isn't at the same level of scoring 4 away to Dortmund. This just the second time in their European history they've conceded 4 at home. The other time was part of an 8-4 win. Lazio, Porto, etc are a level below Dortmund. Just like Dortmund are a level below Bayern, Man City, Real Madrid, etc. You just need to see the reaction from Germany to see how big a result this is. Every Rangers fan was just hoping we'd try and keep ourselves in contention for the 2nd leg. Pretty much everybody else thought we'd get pumped. All that said I am awaiting the backlash from Dortmund and fully expect us to be out next week.
