  1. He's obviously innocent til proven guilty but with such a long running investigation you'd think that it doesn't look good for him. After that the question becomes, as it would with any organisation, who else knew? The other thing that puzzles me as a party member is if they were short of funds, why didn't they simply ask their members to donate a bit more. It seems so unnecessary.
  2. Does undermine the Unionist commentators who claim that the police are in the SNPs pocket.
  3. And William Wragg still hasn't resigned and all the Unionist papers seem to have totally forgotten about the guy who gave out his work colleagues contact details without their consent to a stranger, an action that would have probably have got him dismissed in any other job.
  4. Looks like Ramy can start the celebrations. When the going gets tough, we bottle it (again).
  5. Absolutely. The daft thing is that these rallies are often attended by members of all these parties who do actually realise the need to work together but their leaders can't get their act together.
  6. I do get it, I'm just not entirely sure how it will work in practice. I think it's a good idea but am surprised that the Tories have brought it in, not only because smoking rates have declined massively but being concerned for the health of the general public -its not what they're known for!
  7. That's what I don't get. I'm surprised the Tories have passed it, back in the day they got loads of money from the tobacco companies. It certainly goes against the libertarian wing of the party, no surprise that Johnson and Truss were against it. I used to teach a lot of health education at school so part of me is quite pleased, both of my in-laws died of smoking related diseases but genuinely I'm just really shocked that the Tories are doing something that doesn't actually seem to give them votes and increase their chances of hoovering up some more votes.
  8. Am I being particularly thick? How exactly is this going to work? How will you tell whether someone was born after 2009? I get 'Check 25' policies etc. but if it's 2054 how do you check, whether someone is 45 or 44?
  9. Also the lad Ashby who went to Newcastle from West Ham. I don't know whether he's injured but I don't think he's featured much for Swansea on loan.
  10. Shame. He's been playing right back and midfield, both positions where we picked up injuries yesterday.
  11. Lincoln have had a good season but probably won't creep into the play-offs.
  12. I know it can be a big leap up from u21 level but he's always done well for them, though may be better going forward than defensively.
  13. LewisEDI must have posted just before me, so Cairney and Gauld might be possibilities, anyone else?
  14. When everyone's fit Clarke has tended to pick about eight midfielders in his squads. Five starters:McGinn, Gilmore, McTominay, Christie, McGregor. Then the subs: McLean, Armstrong and Ferguson. So the question is who would he call up to replace Ferguson, Connor Barron? Any other ideas?
  15. Terrible bad luck for him and for us. We don't need to have too many injuries in midfield to suddenly look very short
  16. I'm glad you mention what ISIS on line stands for. I was getting a bit worried!
  17. I do wonder whether that was Hamas plan from the start. They must have known how Israel was going to react to the horrific events back in October. End game: get all their mates to pile in (possibly Iran egging them in from the start), wipe Israel of the map, job done.
  18. Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about her. I really dislike her after what she did to Corbyn.
  19. Sounds like the criticisms that Alba would make of the SNP. My frustration is that Alba have had a couple of opportunities to put their popularity to the test but have not done so. It should also be remembered that several of those policies were not just SNP/Green but we're also supported by Labour, the Lib Dems and even some Tories. Cole-Hamiltin and Sarwar always avoid scrutiny, yet have a go at the SNP for policies that they've supported. As far as the DRS is concerned the UK Government has just kicked that (I recycled) can even further down the road, though they've been promising it for years! I would agree that SNP/Greens have been very poor in communicating and/or implementing many of the policies you mention but several of them, in terms of their aims, are right e.g MUP, DRS, Hate Crime, progressive taxation etc.
  20. I hope so. Ralston is not as good as Patterson or Hickey but I don't think he's ever really let us down has he?. I also remember an unfancied Stephen O'Donnell having Jack Grealish in his pocket at the Euros a little while back so not quite time to despair.
  21. It didn't help last time out v N. Ireland that he was getting pelters from some of our support. Yes, he was at fault for their goal but it was clear as day that the guy is severely lacking in confidence due to what's happened at Everton. Getting booked by your own fans seriously can't help.
  22. Got three of our starting eleven out with ACL injuries. These type of injuries seem to be worryingly common in the woman's game for some reason. Typical though that we end up with injuries to players from Real Madrid, AC Milan and Man City!
  23. You're assuming rUK would want us back. Can you think of any former colonies that the UK would want back?
  24. O.J. Simpson dead. Didn't realise the court case was the best part of 30 years ago. Time flies!
