  1. Celtic were absolutely rancid today. Matt Andersen - a wonderful Canadian blues/soul/americana guitarist is playing Oran Mor on 12th October. Any opinions on him Ramy??
  2. Celtic reacted badly to losing the goal - very much like last week. They seemed to cede possession and momentum for a period after that. Better in the second half but apart from GG's hack, there was no real chance created. Yeah, probably a missed opportunity overall.
  3. Both of which would be worthy away trips.
  4. Azerbaijan. And we haven't played Israel for at least three months.
  5. Ehm - have you thought that through? Your punctuation also needs attention callum83.
  6. Died in her sleep overnight. Too many signals - notes being passed in HoP at noon, BBC changing schedules, presenters suddenly appearing in dark clothes, and embargo until 1830 to allow the clan to get to Balmoral. And the lack of detail since.
  7. That was Matt Frei of all people. He certainly lowered his normally high standards with that observation.
  8. Scotland v Belarus @ Pittodrie, originally scheduled for the day of the funeral (Saturday 6th September). It was moved to the Sunday.
  9. Posting 2 hour sales slots on a Saturday afternoon is fuckwittery and bampottery that even I thought the SFA could not descend to. I will be at Somerset Park on Saturday afternoon supporting my team. And I'm sure numerous others on a similar points level will be following their club too on Saturday. Admittedly the SFA haven't been dealt a good hand with this fixture, but that sales programme is inexcusable.
  10. Matt O'Riley challenging Jota for player of the year?
  11. This one's been a poor show by every authority involved - UEFA, SFA and Ukrainian FA. That it went until a couple of weeks ago for the Ukrainian FA to confirm the venue is squarely on UEFA, however the lack of ticketing information from the SFA beyond holding e-mails less than 4 weeks from the fixture is simply not acceptable. While it is understandable in the circumstances that the travelling support may not be the highest priority, the lack of basic information and consideration from the SFA cannot be allowed to pass without criticism. At the very least an indication as to what the likely allocation could be and accordingly the likely points requirement shouldn't have been impossible for the SFA to communicate. Goodwill has been eroded over this fixture for sure.
  12. And hopefully we'll repeat the result on Saturday for our first league win at Arbroath since 1973.
  13. The other factor to bear in mind is that until the venue is confirmed, the ticket allocation also remains unknown. It is understandable if many consider it's too much of a gamble to book without certainty of venue and allocation.
  14. Is it a carry-over from the fallout when Chris Sutton was denied access to Ibrox last season?
  15. No problem with your view, but for heaven's sake they must at least be letting the SFA what the plan is, otherwise how can they (SFA) plan for the game? Do you seriously think the SFA don't have some kind of clue where the game will be played some six weeks away?
  16. Fair enough, but this contains no additional information for those wishing to make arrangements to attend the game. Couldn't they at least tell us where the game WON'T be played as a start?
  17. Wouldn't want that penalty awarded against Thistle, but let's not deny that GVB's mob were to the south of properly committed. Night and day compared to their away (and home) European performances so far this year.
  18. Sevco in not doing enough due diligence on the opposition shocker. Ian Black's comments on the VAR decision on BBC Scotland just now were laughable.
  19. So did I. That expectation went well.....................
  20. Worked in Albania and Montenegro for 13 years. You've already nailed Albania in a previous post. For Montenegro, Podgorica (the capital) is pleasant enough, but the real value is on the coast, namely Kotor Bay, Portonovi, Sveti Stefan, Petrovac and Ulcinje. Probably pretty much in that order. Also the road trip from Podgorica through the gorge to Koalasin - and the Tara River gorge near the national park at Durmitor. Feel free to PM me if I can be more helpful on either Albania or Montenegro.
  21. From the tournament regulations: Article 22 Venues and kick-off times 22.01 By 17 January 2022, the associations must submit a list of proposed stadiums to the UEFA administration for preliminary approval for the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League. 22.02 The host association submits the venue for each match from the corresponding list of proposed stadiums to the UEFA administration at least 120 days before the match in question. 22.03 The UEFA administration is responsible for approving stadiums. Only when the administration has compiled the necessary information, and conducted potential stadium visits, will the final approval be given for use of the stadium in question. 22.04 When fixing a venue, the host association must take into account the length of the journey to be undertaken by the visiting team. In principle, the venue for a match must be no more than a 90-minute bus drive from the nearest international airport with daily flights from/to other European cities.
  22. I know I'm flogging a dead horse here with you, but where exactly has Patterson impressed in Europe and for Scotland? With Scotland he's been a defensive liability - fine going forward but not reliable under pressure. I'll trust you to inform the debate about his impressive performances for Rangers in Europe. Until then, to me he seems a decent prospect who is being way over promoted as a Scotland right back in the face of stiff competition (Ralston, Ramsay and your favourite bitch O'Donnell).
