Just doing the same for Austria - Arnautović (26 in 87) - 7 less goals that our 27 combined. Alaba (14 in 76) Sabitzer (8 in 46) Scoring goals has pretty much always been our issue.

Tough decision but Considine shouldn't be in the squad. I'm not sure McKenna will be either because he's not played much lately. I'd call up Gallagher, Cooper, Hanley and Hendry. Likely KT and McTominay will also be options at CB - that is plenty.

Tough. That is international football. We need to be picking the best players for each match, based on a number of factors. Being involved in the draws against Israel and Serbia (and the 2 defeats after that) shouldn't be enough to get you a place at the Euros. I've got mixed feelings on Adams but what I can say for certain - he improves our squad.

The more draws in a group between the other teams the better. If we could pick up 7 points (which isn't unrealistic considering the Austria situation) then we could be in a great position. Denmark have 2 really tough away matches. We will know just how good they are after we see how many points they get. If we do beat Austria, they'll need to get something against Denmark or they are already playing catch-up. If my predictions are correct (and they certainly won't be) it would be - 7pts - Scotland 5pts - Denmark 5pts - Israel 4pts - Austria September fixtures 1 Denmark v Scotland Faroe Islands v Israel Moldova v Austria You'd expect Denmark, Israel and Austria all to win. September fixtures 2 Faroe Islands v Denmark Israel v Austria Scotland v Moldova I'd expect Denmark and Scotland to win. No idea about Israel / Austria.

I think most people recognised that KT is a better player than Robertson. Can Robertson not play on the right?

I don't see why not. Faroes are playing three away matches this month.

I think it shows we are starting to get some strength in depth. Don't get me wrong, I'd be very worried about fielding a team without any English-based players but this isn't an awful team - Gordon Gallagher Hendry Considine Patterson Jack McGregor Taylor Forrest Griffiths Christie I think it says a lot when Turnbull and Gauld wouldn't be in everyone's team.

This is great news. They have only selected 16 players from outside Germany in the last 12 months and 4 of those are goalkeepers!! No excuse not to win this match now.

There have been plenty of players that have caught the eye recently and several names have appeared on different peoples lists on here. Which ones would you call up to the squad this month?

Possibly not...but stranger things have happened. Also, if there is interest from teams like Villa, he might prefer to try and make that happen.

Agree with all this. We've not won for 3 matches. If we don't beat Austria, we go to Israel (where we've not won at a couple of attempts) and suddenly we are 5 matches without a win. We shouldn't be looking past Austria at the moment.

I think you are right but surely the player can still decide not to sign on a permanent basis? I'm not sure it is as simple as Oostende saying, "yeah, we'll take him".

We've not actually won for 3 games now and only scored once in those 3 matches. Fraser coming back in would be a big boost.

In my opinion, Mikey Johnston isn't going to be good enough for international football. I'd have no problem with Gilmour in the team but if he's included, it's likely to be at the expense of another playing playing regularly and at a good level. It's a big call to have him ahead of someone like Armstrong, Fleck or McLean. It would be an easier decision to make if he was playing for Chelsea but the new manager isn't even naming him on the bench on a regular basis. It's an easier decision to make with Hickey or Patterson because it would be at the expense of some of the weakest players in our squad, and probably the two playing club football at the lowest level and without playing very well. I'm just not a fan of Morgan. I've seen less than a handful of good performances from him and he's almost always underwhelmed me from both Celtic and Scotland u21s. He has done well in the US but it's a league where Johnny Russell has looked like Messi in the past. Happy for him to prove me wrong, but I just don't think he's good enough.

The 27 I picked was with the matches this month in mind. They are quite similar. Look like 5 different players in our 2 lists. I'd have - McLaughlin (Rangers) Patterson (Rangers) Armstrong (Southampton) Forrest (Celtic) Paterson (Sheff Wed) and you'd have - Porteous (Hibernian) McKenna (Nottingham Forest) Johnston (Celtic) Morgan (Inter Miami) Gilmour (Chelsea) No chance that Armstrong misses out. I cant see Forrest missing out either, especially for someone like Morgan.

You can't compare Forrest and LG. LG won't start many matches for Celtic. I wish he would but I can't see why anything will change. Forrest has been so badly missed this season by Celtic.

Great? I think you are going over the top there. I just don't rate him and I never have.
