  1. It reads well just now but let's not kid ourselves, 2020 is going to be 2020 for Scotland. October will involve a slim win against Israel. A few days later an actual Czech team will comfortably see us off and by the Slovakia game a few days after that, fatigue will have kicked in. We are not designed for that kind of run of games and club managers will largely influence about how much game-time their players get meaning some more questionable tactics and positioning. November will start with a battering from Norway - like they did to NI last night https://www.skysports.com/football/n-ireland-vs-norway/report/423928 - then away to Slovakia and Israel on low morale won't be pretty. Might be doom and gloom but very little in recent, or longer, history that suggests otherwise. Forgetting any tactical plans or systems, some of our players are lacking in even the most basics - passing a ball in a line to another player or tackling someone running towards you.
  2. 2 wins. A solid 2-0 tonight at Hampden and that momentum will carry over to Czech for a sneaky 1-0 victory.
  3. Amen. Even in these strange circumstances, it feels good to be on match day again!
  4. In case anyone didn't get the email. Virtual programme for tonight https://issuu.com/ignitionsportsmedia/docs/scotlandvisrael_nationsleague_crop
  5. I see it a little differently. Or maybe I'm just being naive or hopeful. There does seem to be a lot of big hitters stepping down which feels concerning when the goal feels like it's never been closer. The flip of this is that I'm sure many of them will turn all their focus on campaigning for independence whilst letting a new wave of MSPs get on with the day job as the Yoons are always greetin about. The 55+ demographic is absolutely key to securing the vote goes the right way this time and they'll all be in this to convince their peers.
  6. Finished this the other night. Quite amazing how much damage this done to Iraq and how clueless Americans really are on the world stage.
  7. Not a chance. However it'll be a hell of a bargaining chip in the US' favour when we are frantically trying to set up post-Brexit deals. Silence in exchange for the NHS.
  8. Nice try. The Scottish Government has hee haw to do with Border Control, at the moment anyway.
  9. Was in my local Asda last night and would say probably about 70% of customers were wearing coverings of some sort. What was notable was the vast majority of those not wearing them were 50+. Very few in this age range were wearing them. Is it a Boomer thing or what? Appreciate there are certain circumstances that exempt people from wearing but felt more an attitude thing

As long as there's any kid of distancing still in place, no spectator events will be taking place. To go from zero spectators at the start of the season to 52,000 at Hampden in 2 months is a fantasy. But will be interesting to see UEFA's stance on this if some countries are allowed fans and others aren't. Would this be seen as an advantage, particularly for the play offs?
  11. Reports suggesting Israel manager chucking it. Can’t be a bad thing for us I guess
  12. Moved onto Twitter now https://twitter.com/justvoteimo/status/1271518133912821760?s=20
  13. A jail term seems a bit off with this one. Possibly to set an example to try and deter others but would have thought some community service style punishment would be more effective? And if this wasn't captured on camera and shared, would any action at all have been taken?
  14. Motorhead for me. We put it off for ages always saying "we'll go next year" as they seemed to do a UK Tour every autumn. Finally got tickets and they cancelled and Lemmy never made it to the revised date. And I have a horrible feeling that history may repeat itself for Ozzy which has already been postponed twice due to his health and will be surprised if the October Hydro gig goes ahead. Although I did see him with Black Sabbath back in 2013.
  15. That's my feeling too. There's something about this case that's always bugged me. Of course absolutely tragic what happened but how many other kids have gone missing over this time period without so much of a peep across any media? This is another example of privilege in every day action.
  16. Just had my first one. Bells Scotch pie on a white morning roll. Dab of butter and brown sauce. Pleasant but won't be in a hurry to repeat. So important to try new things. Now craving a Bovril...
  17. I might have to stock up on my next trip to the shops. Surely sampling this cuisine counts as essential.
  18. Surely you need some kind of sauce - otherwise is it no awfy dry?
  19. Been buzzing my heid for just over 3 years now and the only time I feel bald is when I let it grow for anything longer than a week and it starts to look untidy. Any other baldies feel like that? Can't really do much drastic isolation cuts though. Went from 2mm to 1mm to no guard on my clippers so suppose the next step is with a razor.
  20. Peanut Butter Chunky Kit Kat - does that count as a biscuit or a chocolate bar..? I saw ages ago that someone made a Chunky 4 Finger Kit Kat. Sublime.
  21. 0715 then lie in bed listening to the radio and getting up around 0800 - although that's now about 0830 for working from home.
  22. Only because their Commander in Chief across the Atlantic is doing that too. Wonder when they'll start talking about TV ratings.
  23. There's what I've learned today. I thought the Chancellor was next senior of the 4 "Great Offices of State."
