  1. Good to know. We need a 33 man squad or so for these games.
  2. I've only read The Sun article, but I don't fully understand all the fury at Ukraine. I don't think Sydorchuk is being a fanny by saying the world will support Ukraine, a lot of the western world probably will if they don't care about either team. I think us, Wales and Austria too have been outstanding in all of this.
  3. This could have been the Men's team up to quite recently. Martha Thomas gets into the box but has no options. She does well to keep a hold of the ball and it eventually ends up at on the other wing with Lana Clelland, but her cross is cut out.
  4. How about they focus on qualifying first. They fecked up badly last campaign and after two decent tournaments, look miles away from getting to another one.
  5. As shite as things are with Ukraine, I think there needs to be a decision made soon. I wouldn't grudge Ukraine being able to pull out of the NL (and then in 18 months or whenever possible, they play 3rd in our group over two legs to see who goes down a division). That gives them a lot of time to be as prepared as they ever will be, to play us and potentially Wales. Surely there's some sort of decision coming soon from FIFA. And as harsh as it might sound, you can't have 31 teams qualified in June and still waiting on the final spot to be resolved in autumn!
  6. Whilst half of them neck their own moonshine
  7. Great incentive for all three of us to qualify! What will the Islamic Republic say about playing GB, USA and Ukraine?! Potential last sixteen looks alright too! Holland are better than they were but they're still beatable, TBH. Really cannot be fucked playing England again or the pish and hype surrounding it. But forget all fhat! We need to qualify first!
  8. I think man marking Bale is a good shout, and he's 32 now and did tire near the end. Page has down a marvelous job with Wales.
  9. It has the potential to be the worst or best feeling in the world. I've been to the Welsh-speaking north of the country, and loved it, and met some amazing people ; BUT having met some of their supporters! I was surprised to find they were incredibly arrogant and had more than their fare share of arseholes. We also have tits as well "Whar's yer kilt?" types ; but they had just pumped us in the rugby (not that I care) but slagging off someone when they have just been humped is just knuckle dragging behaviour. TBH, and out of the ''home'' nations, they have been the worst at having any form of humility. The 4-0 game as well down there was just awful as well. A lot of "we are brilliant, you guys are pathetic," basically from a large minority of their support. Many were nice too, but TBH, I'd much rather lose to Austria or Wales (again, if we get past Ukraine) I think overall we do have a better side, but they have Bale and as 32, and not playing as he is ; look what he did on Tuesday - he basically dragged Wales to victory! He's superman in that red shirt. To think he's played about 2 games for Madrid and probably won't play much if any at all for them in the next few months yet turns up match fit and absolute legend for his country. We need to see what happens with Ukraine first, but the thought of going to Cardiff and going out is enough to make you greet and considering they seem to always have our number in big matches be it in fitba or rugby, I'm a bit worried we'll crash out (if we get there). No one else?
  10. I think we'll be given a bye to face Wales in June. Even if the Ukraine/Russia crisis ''ends'' soon, there's no way that Ukraine will be able to get a team together or even be thinking about fielding a team to go to the World Cup.
  11. The Scottish/Irish George Clooney back in Fitba at Queen's Park!
  12. Not a huge rugby fan, but occasionally watch Six Nations. Has it not been the same headline for about 15 years now "potential Six Nations dark horses Scotland etc". Brilliant seeing the Italians beat Wales!
  13. A bit of a huge bump, but interested to hear if anyone on here holds some or don't (and hate it, even) but what's peoples general thoughts on this? Always good to hear differing views, IMO. I would say crypto has exploded since the last post in here! Bitcoin is at $39,000 or so right now - in a very slow market, or bearish one (still, not too sure what I think of all these terms though! Its being adopted almost every day by a different corp, country. Ukraine (the country) are airdropping! NFTs are here and everyone is jumping aboard. Yet at the same time, its not exactly a topic round every pub. e.g Inter had Inter Coin on the shirt on Wednesday, how many people who watched that match knew what that even was/is/the idea in general?
  14. Ps every neutral will want us to lose this match, even if it's played in March or November On the phone so replied to myself yikes!
  15. I'm saying we should play them but we should delay all the playoffs until later in the year.
  16. If the game goes ahead that anthem will be unbelievable! Any idea about Russia. Finland to take their place in the group with Sweden, Czech Rep and Poland? Ps I hope your pals and friendly are OK.
  17. PS I reckon FIFA will chuck Russia out. There will be too much uproar if they try and compete as a FOR (footballers of Russia team). The teams in their playoff group won't play them and now England, Wales and Scotland have said they won't play them either. Basically early 90s South Africa boycotts.
  18. It wouldn't feel right playing a team without their home based players, IMO. I know we played the Czech C team during Covid. Surely if things are still as bad as now in the middle of March, we pull these playoffs until October/November - all of them including other groups. Not saying that will solve it, or things will be resolved then ; but with the WC being later we should look at waiting..
  19. We give Ukraine a bye to the final which can hopefully be played before November 2022, e.g them v Wales/Austria. And we play Poland with the winners taking on Czech Rep or Sweden.
  20. It's Killie's league to lose, TBH. Full time, new and good, IMO, manager in and even an aging Lafferty should do alright in the Championship. Killie to win the league by ten points.
  21. Are you refering to Nouble? He's not their main man, and he's only scored 4 goals. Whilst he has done well, and can beat 3 or 4 players, his next move is often to run it out for a goal kick or over cook a pass. A very good player for Arbroath, but you can see why he hasn't played for a bigger team. Arbroath team revlolves around Stewart, McKenna, O'Brien, Low, Gold and Craigen. Dowds has been very decent as well. The Lichties probably will fall away - sitting pretty but it could have been even better, I can think of 3 home games, we should have won yet only drew. Its fantastic though, and we'll see. PS I think McInnes is a great appointment and the boot up yer arse needed to go on and win the league.
  22. Good to see you back, Irish. I've noticed a huge improvement in Ireland of late and it'll be a tight game with not much in it either way. Arrogance doesn't suit us at all, so anyway Scots boasting could be left with a lot of custard on their puss come the end of a pretty difficult (tight) group - Ireland v Armenia v Scotland v Ukraine, could go anyway.
  23. I've not seen Norwich enough, but as long as he does his stuff for us then who cares about the Canaries and their petty fans. Even if someone wasn't great, imaging singing that at one of your own players! Watch him have a marvelous couple of games for us in March and cue the fickle "why didn't he do that for us" Norwich fans.
  24. Also let's remember England is the outlier here not us, Wales or NI.
