  1. Glad I stopped watching political shows in the UK. Politics Live it's 3 against 1 (Plaid Cyrmu MP) about who should decide on an independence referendum. Now the political football question "support us cos we support you" yet every single English person who says that says it in a patronising/oh didn't you Taffs/Micks/Jocks do well.
  2. Salmond will be back stage in any second referendum. There's no chance he'll be part of any official united Yes group. He'll be on the Hope Over Fear stage etc with Sheridan and so.
  3. Thought there was maybe 20 mins we were OK. Armstrong is incredibly frustrating. He shouldn't be starting games for Scotland. Hanley - whilst he had about 18-24 month spell of being decent, is back to being fairly dodgy and a liability in a Scotland. Cengiz Under is a great wee player. Why not even bring on Kelly for 20 mins, FFS!
  4. Maybe should be hoping for an OF preliminary exit rather than seeing Celtic and Rangers trying to play football in the Champions League. -18, absolutely hopeless!
  5. Armstrong is an excellent squad player, or for games eg Armenia. Not to be too critical because he's done more good than bad in a Scotland shirt but he's not good enough to start regularly or in the "big" games
  6. Not seen it, not watching it - let me guess? Lots of English accents, or low IQ Rangers fans. Who's still watching QT that is undecided these days?! Swinney is awful on these things. Only time I've ever seen him being good was the QT the week after the referendum (he must have been emotional/hurt as he was quite good). He's too soft and dull for trying to win over geniune fence sitters open to independence.
  7. Hertz and Rangers getting pumped will never get tiring.
  8. Weir was outstanding last night (apart from the miss). She could beat 3/4 Irish lassies with ease ; probably was trying a bit too hard at the end, but there's no way we can fault for her last night. Kerr was excellent too, so was a bit surprised she was subbed off. Fair dues Ireland. Hard as nails and fancied it. Not too impressed with the coach. Tiki-taka stuff that might look fine but what use is it if you cannot break down a team you should be beating. Imagine Corise, Beattie, might start thinking of retiring? Take it there's not much coming through?!
  9. They've been poor for a few years now. Well deserved Ireland, we can't complain - struggled to break them down and then it's punt it up front as the tactic.
  10. Aye, true. Think it was seeing Spain then Norway and the EPL propoganda the now about Haaland ; we can definitely beat them at Hampden. Eratz summedit up well. A no easy games group but if we're as good as we hope/think/sometimes seem to be then we should be looking to finish second
  11. Never been but heard from others. Sounds amazing although I imagine it's changed a fair bit since the 2008 qualifiers.
  12. That is one of the HARDEST draws we've had in years. We know about Spain and Haaland/Norway. Georgia have gone up from D to C in the last few years and we know how to lose there. Cyprus - we really struggled against them. They're one of the better seeds too. So for anyone who doesn't like the Playoffs/Nations League - winning that could well save our bacon. Bring it on though. I'm going to go one away trip and I think Georgia might be the one!
  13. He seems to enjoy the job, he doesn't need the money and international fitba is probably a perfect gig for a young grandfather etc, and he does seem fairly positive about Scotland and the nation as well - if a bit dour at times. I honestly don't think he'd leave us for someone like Fulham. Who knows though
  14. Hickey will/and is the better player, IMO. Tierney is also better than Robertson.
  15. Was on the fence a bit regarding him after the Irish/Ukraine games in the early summer. No doubt some forms of progress, but felt he was too conservative and slow to change ; but he deserved the campaign and we've improved and not just that, got the job done (last night was a marvelous result, we'd have lost that probably a year or two ago). Secured us a playoff for the Euros ; and 99% guaranteed one for the 2028 Euros too (if UEFA keep going with the Nations League system) AND we are second seeds for next week's qualifying! If we get to the Euros in 2024, he'll be wanted by a lot of big clubs! It was actually need to see how happy he looked last night too. Overall, he's done a very good job ; but we do have some very decent players coming through. We need to get to 2024!
  16. A GREAT turn around. So fair dues, but need to try and win this though
  17. Aye, you are correct and noted, haha fuck me Breen is a blether!
  18. JUST pish from us. Fair dues to Ireland - they ken our number eh? This is where Clarke (often lets us down) He'll sit on his arse now and wait til the 70th minute before making changes. We don't look at the moment of knowing how to break them down. They look stronger, fitter and quicker than us too. All very predictable this from Scotland. Who knows! I'm sure we were fairly pish in that 3-1 win v Kazakhstan and then had a better second half. A better quality of side though this time around.
  19. We need to be aiming for the win, TBH.
  20. Who cares? If we play good, we deserve praise from Irish or Scottish and likewise if its the other way around.
  21. Haven't seen enough or know enough, but what I have, he's an excellent player. Seems to be making good career moves as well. He's still young, so I just hope he keeps progressing like he has. Makes a change as well. Often EPL fan boys give ''Jocks'' a bit of griet e.g Darren Fletcher and McTominay at Man Utd - although McT seems to be getting rave reviews so far this season - long may it continue.
  22. Ireland sent us home tae think a...fucking LOT - what a hiding that was in the summer there and fair dues to them, 100% the side. Ireland have some really talented players coming through. It's a 'derby' and we have a history of freezing and not performing - but going on Wednesday's performance ; where the fèck was that in the summer or Ukraine WC playoff? NL is great though ; Ireland will go for it at a point surely - they could win in Scotland and who knows what happens in Ukraine/Armenia. It's going to be tough, but if we can WIN this group. We'll have shown some character (mind we shat it in the Czech/Slovak/Israel group where we were 5 pts clear with 2 games to go I think) and securing a playoff would hopefully be a wee bonus for the qualifying/along with potentially being a second seed for the Euros. Still, it's Scotland!
  23. He's frustrated me at times with some of his decisions and was thinking aye maybe time after Ireland, but the Armenia away win was especially impressive and so was last night. He deserves the Euro campaign. Let's be realistic the Euros are our level so if we can get a second seeding and win this group it's good all-round Ireland and Ukraine games were a huge shock - being so bad. No shame losing to both sides but to play so badly was a worry. The hope is if we get to a tournament we won't freeze like we have done occasionally under him.
