  1. Off the top of my head... Scotland, Aberdeen, Rangers, music, God/Jesus, satan, the Illuminati, JFK, 9/11, 7/7, truth/deception, numerology, moon landings, flat earth... So football, music, God, and conspiracies would be at least 4. I wish that I had more time to devote to it. The 39 Books of the Old Testament point to the coming Messiah, and the 27 Books of the New Testament reveal the Messiah. (It's all about Jesus.) Satan gets more bang for his efforts when he mixes truth and lies. The most loving thing I can tell you is the truth. Anyone that rejects the God of the Bible will go to hell. (Sometimes the only way to say that 'people used to get their hands cut off for stealing bread' is to say "People used to get their hands cut off for stealing bread.") Not with Bible-believing Christianity. I wouldn't worship a god that would 'reward' me for killing myself and as many enemies as possible. Clean and sober, happy and content. You're commenting on the courage of my convictions?
  2. Can you quote the question I dodged? I'm a wretch. We probably don't have the same definition of 'judging'. You were definitely nicer in person. (And it's 'Christian Fundamentalist' as in, I believe in the fundamentals of Christianity... Loving your neighbour like yourself, for example... ) I'm not even religious let alone overly religious. Agreed.
  3. He just wanted to say something nasty and tripped over himself. Never been a drug dealer or a junky (if that needs saying). It's not... In a perfect world there wouldn't be any cancer. We, however, live in an imperfect world. 1. We are all sinners. 2. If you knowingly, willingly, reject God, then yes, you will end up in hell (and that's true whether I ever existed or not). (If you are absolutely convinced that that isn't true, then it shouldn't bother you the littlest bit.) Blair... Play fair... (First page... ) "I don't know how people get cancer but I know that if something happens, then God has allowed it." Sin is never OK, but repentance and the free gift of salvation is open to everyone. Because of my faith in Jesus Christ my sins (past, present, and future) have been forgiven and I will not be judged for them. The penalty of my sins was bore on the cross by Jesus so that I wouldn't have to. It was the single greatest act of love that the world has ever known. (You are free to mock that, ignore that, spit on it, or embrace it.)
  4. The game was played on the 12th, so monies were due by close on Friday the 17th. The actual payment was made on Monday February 20th.
  5. I've never had any problem with reality. My life 'in the world' was the easiest I've known. The reason I've embraced a harder life is because it's worth it. No, I just did them for something to do... kicks... a laugh... but ultimately going no where. There was no escapism. Whatever the reason for the human experience, I can guarantee you that it will be "fantastic". I disagree. I believe that you can find truth if you are honestly looking for it. (Sorry, but come on!) I can guarantee that you have never met me. (People are even surprised by what I look like.) I am very confident, together, and have no fears. I'm not compensating for anything. I haven't left my senses. I've come to them. That's it? Tell us how we got here and what's going to happen to you when you die. So, Who is Jesus Christ to you?
  6. Our works contribute nothing to our salvation. They are merely evidence of our salvation. Peter, John, and James. Matthew 16:28, Mark 9:1, and Luke 9:27 all say the same thing. Kingdom in this sense means 'royal splendor'. Jesus wasn't referring to His Second Coming here. He was referring to His transfiguration. No. He's still God. There's nothing to fear once you know Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15 55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  7. Hi Goozay. Thank you for your questions. This April 15th will be 11 years since I put down my last beer, stopped doing drugs, stopped having sex outside marriage, and went back to church. I was fed up with 'chasing the horizon'. Satisfaction was only temporary. I wasn't content. Sin hadn't lived up to it's billing. It took me further than I wanted to go, and made me spend more than I wanted to pay. I'm a prodigal son. I went to Sunday School and then other Christian Youth Groups till I was around 16. Started drinking at house parties as a teen... one thing led to another... and I was 'in the world' for the next 28 years. My focus was on myself. What I wanted to do... What I wanted to have... Where I wanted to go...
  8. He kens fine. It was meant to be an insult. (It's like when folk go on the 'Cricket' thread and tell off the people discussing cricket that they shouldn't like cricket because they don't like cricket.) The forum is 'Anything Goes'. You don't even have to open the thread if it upsets you so. Said the faceless bully trying to lump on the peer pressure. The God of the Bible is a Triune God... or a Trinity. Each member of the Godhead is equally God individually, and collectively they are God. One Godhead with three distinct personalities. The Person of God The Holy Spirit was the One Who was responsible for Mary becoming pregnant with Jesus.
  9. I typed it that way (with the apostrophes) to show that it was the same letters rearranged. (Like the NASA logo with the serpent tongue as the stylised 'T'.) Only those that believe in their hearts through faith that Jesus is exactly Who He said He is will go to heaven. Satan has his greatest success in false belief systems. Once they are adopted, they run by themselves with Jews having baby Jews, Muslims having baby Muslims, Hindus having baby Hindus, etc. (Christians can't have baby Christians btw.) There's the cults... and then there's atheism for those that reject the supernatural. (And atheists tend to have atheists... ) Yes... there is hope, but things don't bode well for the majority. Matthew 7 "13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Folk want to believe that different answers should count equally, but similar to the question of "What is 2+2?" there can only be one correct answer. ANY PERSON who believes by faith that Jesus Christ is exactly Who He says He is will be saved. The cut off is when you die. Were your sins completely forgiven during your life, or will you carry them into the next where you will futilely be unable to pay for them? https://www.gotquestions.org/saved-general-revelation.html
  10. "Rangers board announce they have accepted the resignation of Lee Hodson's badge." (No word as yet if it was written or verbal.)
  11. Not everyone subscribes to the impossible odds of evolution occurring given that the one thing it would hinge on (time) would directly oppose it. God is neither deluded nor arrogant. We exist because He exists.
  12. I've had my mind changed on things like evolution, JFK, 9/11, and now the flat earth. Those things only happened because I accepted new information that changed where I stood on the matter. (Thank you for doing this, btw!) Judaism, Islam, Roman Catholicism, etc, are religions. They say 'do' to 'earn' your way to heaven. They are 'works' based. Christianity is faith based. God has said "done"... just believe in your heart. Yes, both the Jews and the Christians use the Old Testament, but the Muslims only use (I believe) The Torah and The Psalms. Just to follow you... Where do you stand on evolution and creation? What's the beginning? I use a similar analogy for the information contained in the 4 Gospels. Imagine 4 different camera angle video recordings of a goal in football. All 4 recordings are true, but each may contain similar information, or information that the other recordings don't have. (For example, only having one angle showing that the ball definitely went over the line wouldn't make the other angles untrue.) God would be spirit/pure light, so I agree that it means something else. My take is that since Adam was God-breathed, we too have eternal spirits. The flood was God's judgement on a wicked world. Were the other 'cleansings' similar? Once Jesus humbled Himself and took on flesh, He was then bound by time and space and only ever appeared in one place at a time. It begs the question... How would the aliens come into being? Evolution or creation? Angels are messengers, but they don't fit the description you've suggested.
  13. I know what it takes for theory to become theorem. God has all the answers... I just believe Him by faith Of course. if 'hunchy' posts his worldview then anyone on the board can ask him questions, and feel free to agree or disagree. That's how a message board is supposed to work. (Folk will need to share their take on 'the meaning of life' though.) Absolutely. And I stand by it.
  14. Hearts miss a penalty (preventing them from pulling within 3 points of third).
  15. They always seem to get the intellectually sounding 'educated' 'respected' atheist to comment (deceive) as if their understanding of the universe can somehow rival and surpass that of God's. “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding." Job 38:4 Just to be clear, I want what God wants... "The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." 2 Peter 3:9 But, if I am temporarily in the presence of the goats on the other side (Matthew 25), then I hope that I am standing next to Richard Dawkins (or similar) if he doesn't repent (who will be shaking like the hind legs on a dog that doesn't want to be at the vets). Scotty CTA - "Would you accept this (standing in front of God) as proof that you were wrong about... oh... everything?" Dawkins - ( ...silence... trembling... ...off the scale foreboding... ) Scotty CTA - "So... Romans 1:22 ("Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools") Apt, or what?" Dawkins - "Wha... wha.. what happens next?" Scotty CTA - "You know what happens next. And you see all of those people over there on the left? You played a HUGE role in many of them being here." Dawkins - "OH MY GOD!!!" Scotty CTA - "I'm sorry. I really am, but it's too late. You not only knowingly, willingly, chose to reject God during your life, but you made it you life's work for others to do the same (and you'll have eternity to think about that). Dawkins - "But I... (silence) but I... (inconsolable weeping)" Scotty CTA - "I've got to go now... " Jesus to the 'goats' - "Then He will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. I never knew you." Matthew 25:41 and Matthew 7:23
  16. I'd just be interested in what people's thoughts are concerning the reason for the human experience. What's it all about?
  17. Apologies for missing your question, Mario. Santa ('s-a-t-a-n') was created to take the focus off of Jesus at the time of year where the Roman Catholic Church decided the birth of the Saviour was to be celebrated. The 'tradition' of hanging socks over the fireplace is mockingly symbolic of humans willingly placing their souls in hell for the 'free' temporary 'gift' of material goods. It did have a beginning, now it didn't have a beginning... Science' pretends to have all the answers. You are free to place your faith there.
