  1. 2 of us stopping in Cologne overnight on Wednesday 12th after the Eurostar over to Brussels then jumping on the ICE. Any good watering holes for a Wednesday night to get the party started? 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  2. Status Quo would be some laugh. The Boss as well if we make it to the QF weekend.
  3. Train down to London then quick changeover to Eurostar. Still to decide on whether to go to Brussels, Amsterdam or Frankfurt for the first night then down to Munich the next day.
  4. Wasn’t picking a fight mate. 😂 Just trying to decipher the info as well. If this is additional tickets above the 10k then that’s great news for everyone and more Tartan Army in the ground.
  5. I think the ballot will only apply to national associations who have asked UEFA to run sales this way for their fans. Basically countries that don’t have large supporters clubs like the SSC and England (who are using access codes in coordination with UEFA). I might be wrong, but I don’t think there’s a ballot for us.
  6. I should have posted this earlier for what a sample itinerary could look like:
  7. Yes, that would work fine. Sorry - thought you were suggesting the possibility of going back and forward on the train a few times.
  8. Careful, it won’t quite allow what you suggest. There can only be one outbound, and one inbound journey, for your home country. So it wouldn’t allow you to from/to UK on multiple occasions.
  9. All 11 pointers are equal in the eyes of the SSC / UEFA, so the SFA only really need to send out a single code that can be used by any of the 7k or so on a first-come, first-served basis. I’d assume the data sharing of the database from the SFA->UEFA allows UEFA to ensure that the only email addresses valid for purchasing against the code, in that particular window are those that the SFA have advised as 11 pointers. Same approach for each level. I’d expect it to work that way, but maybe they will generate individual codes for everyone. Regardless, it’ll be FCFS below 12 points so doesn’t matter either way.
  10. Yes. Travel from anywhere in the UK. I believe the terms are that your journey is supposed to go from starting place (Glasgow) to the outbound port (say London-Eurostar terminal, or Dover, Hull, etc.). and that journey to the continent should commence the same day. It doesn’t have to be a single leg journey, (I.e. you could go Inverness-Glasgow-London).
  11. I don’t expect our sections to be in with any neutrals. Pretty sure we get an entire slice of the stadium, from front tow to back. It’ll start somewhere behind the goals and extend round behind the corner, covering all 4 categories. The corners containing the participating teams will be at opposing ends on the same side of the stadium if that makes sense. So they’re in view of TV cameras. Our seed pot position does not mean we will be 3 in the group.
  12. Time has passed now for the sale price, but you only need to activate the pass by 1st June. That kicks off a 2 month window for you to start consuming the 10 or 15 days.
  13. Yes - I meant to mention that. You are correct that there is a risk that the seller doesn’t actually have the tickets to sell. So, you’re not financially exposed to risk as part of the ticket sales, but obviously you are open to risk for it fucking your wider plans. The only people that I can imagine would post tickets that the don’t actually have would be professional touts or people that expect that they can go and somehow source tickets cheaper than what they would be supplying them to you. They only actually gain money if they sell them. I suppose in theory if the market for a certain game goes crazy, they could fuck you over and then sell at a higher cost.
  14. It’s 15 travel days though, not 15 consecutive days. When you combine that with the free local travel on matchdays, or add on the €49 deutschland ticket (doesn’t cover ICE), then there’s a number of days you can prob use local train services to avoid consuming one of the 15days. I’m sure it’ll do me fine right up to Berlin in mid-July. 😄
  15. Bit late notice, but some of you may have seen this on Twitter. 25% off sale for interrail.eu. Global Promo Pass: 10 days travel = £275 15 days travel = £335 Would cover journey in/out from UK as well. Some additional charges for seat reservation fees depending on the country/train. Normally 5-10euros, but the most expensive one is Eurostar €38. Still very good value compared to flights. Yours, Carbon Neutral TA
  16. I used StubHub. Similar concept to Viagogo and these other big ticket sites. I believe they hold the money until after the event - so if you get scammed and enter dispute with them, then the seller is stuck in dispute without having received the money. In reality, the way the UEFA tickets are set up means that they can’t scam you via this type of approach. The seller has to transfer the ticket to you using the email address you registered on the UEFA app. This means that the seller can only transfer the ticket once. It’s not like they can email a barcode to 100 folk. When I bought 2x Wembley ticket, the seller transferred them in no time at all. They appeared in my UEFA app, and I then transferred on the 2nd ticket to my mates UEFA app using his email address.
  17. Bus will be great crack if you find some running. I went on a bus from Glasgow to the games in Prague ‘99 and Dortmund ‘14. Good fun with a good bunch of likeminded folk. Alternatively, you could look at Interail passes. I’m currently checking that out for feasibility. Someone on Twitter highlighted its 25% off until 28 Nov.
  18. Hopefully a Poland win in Cardiff if it comes to it.
  19. If it were to be in England , Spurs stadium would be class.
  20. I always remember going and buying the Brazil away top hours after Ronaldinho had papped them out of the 2002 World Cup. Stuck it on straight away and the lassie that I was seeing at the time had a sister who was going out with a brummie guy - I could sense the seethe when I saw him later in the day. Glorious.
  21. Brilliant mate! That’ll cheer you up for your hip recovery. Well done 👍
  22. Sport options tweeted yesterday with instructions on how to get on their mailing list for either England or Scotland games. Re: wonky sheep - it would probably be to our benefit if Wales don’t qualify, so they have the staff/resources/planes to do flights for us.
