  1. You can get 7/4 that there will be a play off (2/5 there wont) With all thats gone on i think its almost certain that there will be especially with the way the scores are ...(famous last words)
  2. Anyway .... Back to The Open Ive just checked the weather and it's forecast to get decidedly worse from around 1pm tomorrow Rain is forecast at that time and the wind is due to get up from what's forecast earlier Winds between 8-12mph and dry up to 1pm Rain from 1pm and winds to get up to 16-17mph - Heavy rain around 3pm With so many players in contention those quite far back at -4 like Mickelson might not be out of it yet if they can shoot a 65/66 and get in before the weather deteriorates Could definitely be the most exciting and open "open" finish ever
  3. It's been a right bad year for the celebs Alex Rocco was brilliant at playing Mafia mobsters most memorably in The Godfather
  4. I know how difficult it is but i am not comparing Lawrie to any old chump Compared to me and a great majority of golfers, Lawrie is in a totally different league - he is better than a good golfer. He wouldnt have a tour card if he wasnt. I accept that However i am talking about World professional Golf Lets have categories of golfer where everyone mentioned is at their peak World Class - Palmer, Nicklaus, Player, Watson, Ballesteros,Norman, Faldo, Price, Duval, Langer, Els, Harrington, Woods and provided they continue their progress McIlroy and Spieth. There are probably names i have missed but at some point in their career these players have over a lengthy period been ranked Number 1, held their form over a period of years and backed it up with major championships Top Class (again there will be a right few i will miss but to give an idea)- Lyle, Kite, Furyk, Trevino, Floyd, Lehman, Woosnam, Couples, Crenshaw, Olazabal, Singh,O'Meara, Garcia, Montgomerie, Rose If you agree with that line of thinking then Lawrie doesnt fit into any of those categories Im not even sure he would get into the next category down with likes of Clarke, Westwood, Azinger and dozens more yes - blaming others for playing pish - a typical scottish trait !
  5. But there are many who are often at the top of the leaderboard and in with a chance - they are above average
  6. Consistently playing well and winning See above Paul Lawrie does not consistently play well and rarely wins tournaments - Thats an average golfer in the world of professional golfers However i'm clearly wrong and i concede - Paul Lawrie is fooking amazing. Best golfer i have ever seen.
  7. I know Just for the record when i say Lawrie is murder im talking out my pocket from the times i have had a few quid on him But there is no getting away from the fact that in the world of professional golf he is average - not deflecting from him being a decent guy Just a bit of perspective offered (and yes id like to see him win)
  8. In 30 years as a professional Monty turned pro 2 years later than Lawrie and has 31 European Tour victories Thanks for making my point
  9. You do remember how he won the Open ?
  10. Yes i watch a lot He is murder - and by that i mean distinctly average
  11. WTF ??? If anything the britnat media and BBC have bummed up Lawrie deluding everyone into thinking he actually had a chance of winning through the years when he had one good round If its that to which you refer then yes i fell for it
  12. I just cant warm to Paul Lawrie at all. The typical Scottish let down that hasnt really progressed since his Open win Like others i cant see past Dustin especially with the way the play has gone this morning His power is phenomenal and this course more than any other is suited to that I havent bet him though so hoping he does something rash although after his personal issues id be pleased if he won
  13. Which has no bearing on whether his opinion of a NWO was right or wrong
  14. I edited my post Whilst Scotty's theories of the NWO intentions and eventual outcome were extreme you cannot deny that there is a form of it happening now
  15. Which part smarty ? The criteria for NWO conspiracy theorists are groups using political finance, social engineering, mind control, and fear-based propaganda to achieve their aims Have seen all of that in the last month - with mind control & propaganda achieved through the media
  16. There is a bigger point to this which is how the Royal Family along with the aristocracy, upper class and establishment see themselves and more so how they view everyone else. Anything that threatens them and their way of life is all they are concerned about and they wouldnt bat an eylid if all those beneath them were extinguished to keep that going. As previously pointed out they saw communism as a threat and as that was the enemy of the Nazi's they leaned towards Hitler. When they realised that Hitler was just as big a threat to that way of life those sympathies waned. History often repeats itself and what is happening around Europe is a perfect example with the rich bankers and financial institutions aided by corrupt Governments doing everything they can to keep their noses in the trough including destroying countries and peoples to keep those institutions intact I said to FE last week that Scotty would seem to have been proved beyond right of the New World Order conspiracy theories he made years ago and if we cant see it then we are deluding ourselves. I just wonder what it will take before the people finally take to the streets en masse with their pitchforks and torches because if we leave it any longer it will be too late. It might actually be too late already
  17. Haydock's meeting tonight became the first ever in the history of global horse racing to produce more non runners than runners. The BHA thought it appropriate to tweet that tonight as a fun fact rather than criticise or offer an apology to racegoers Edit - what a twat - it was the BHA parody account !
  18. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/jul/18/queen-nazi-salute-video-royal-home-movie-?CMP=share_btn_tw “Of course people knew,” said historian Alex Von Tunzelmann. “It’s completely revisionist to start saying people didn’t know what the Nazis were doing. Nobody thinks the Queen is a Nazi, but that’s not the point. It’s a myth that no one knew in the 1930s what the Nazis were about. Yes of course we do have the advantage of hindsight, but lots of people in 1933 had real concerns about where this was going. The fact is that a lot of people supported the Nazis as we know, a lot of people in the aristocracy thought this was the perfect obstacle to the threat of communism.” Von Tunzelmann is referring to figures such as British fascist and antisemite Oswald Mosley, whose first wedding was attended by George V and his second, to Diana Mitford, in 1936 by Hitler and Goebbels. According to Harry Leslie Smith, an RAF war veteran and author, it was well known that establishment figures and some members of the royal family harboured Nazi sympathies. In 1933 Smith was delivering beer around the streets of Bradford. “I remember the 1930s vividly so I wasn’t surprised when I saw Edward VIII instructing our present Queen along with her adult mother to give the Nazi salute,” he said. “Everyone from my generation knew that many in the royal family as well as from the establishment had Nazi sympathies.
  19. Harry Leslie Smith ‏@Harryslaststand 1m1 minute ago Early support by #Royals of the day in 1930s for #Nazis as well as the elite made it that much harder for Jews to escape #hitler's Germany
  20. The plebs in the UK might not have known about what the Nazi party were all about in 1933 but the upper class certainly did
  21. Saying no play now till at least 5pm Could be Tuesday it finishes at this rate ...
