  1. the abu ghraib photos released (a lot weren't) showed girls of very questionable age being forced to reveal their breasts and vagina for photo's. Plus allegations of rape as well. According to Seymour Hersch. but of course parts of the CIA wouldn't do 9/11.
  2. "And the reason they want to have this discussion is not to show how awesome we are. This administration wants to have this discussion to show us how we’re not awesome.” Erudite political commentary from someone who is paid to read out loud.
  3. Aye so Abu Ghraib was just a few bad apples aye? That's what was said, seems it was top down directed.
  4. New York Times debunking all the false claims of Verschärfte Vernehmung providing information http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/12/08/world/does-torture-work-the-cias-claims-and-what-the-committee-found.html
  5. Forced rectal feeding without any medical need, these khunts are just sadists it's fecked up. "In 2007, for instance, Michael V. Hayden, then the C.I.A. director, told the Senate Intelligence Committee that “all of those involved in the questioning of detainees are carefully chosen and screened for demonstrated professional judgment and maturity.” In fact, the Senate report concludes, no such vetting took place. The interrogation teams included people with “notable derogatory information” in their records, including one with “workplace anger management issues” and another who “had reportedly admitted to sexual assault.”" "Within days of the raid on UBL’s compound, CIA officials represented that CIA detainees provided the ‘tipoff’ information on Abu Ahmad al-Kuwaiti. A review of CIA records found that the initial intelligence obtained, as well as the information the CIA identified as the most critical — or the most valuable — on Abu Ahmad al-Kuwaiti, was not related to the use of the CIA’s enhanced interrogation techniques."
  6. I want to know which country all these "outside contractors" came from, but every single reference i can find is redacted. They were paid 4 times the amount of normal interrogators were as well. I wonder which ally i would go to if i wanted information on how best to torture folk of an arab/muslim culture.
  7. They anally raped two prisoners , and the CIA described it in official documents as "rectal exams conducted with excessive force"
  8. So Ed snowden et al are being super dangerous by releasing information however the CIA can do it when they want
  9. taking folk with learning disability and torturing them to get other folk to talk.
  10. Here's the Republican report http://www.intelligence.senate.gov/study2014/sscistudy3.pdf Not had a chance to read it but from commentary they seem to be refuting the claim that torture was not useful , as opposed to refuting they did any of the torture. So it's a rebuttal about the effectiveness of threatening rape to get information. I personally think it's wrong to torture regardless of whether it works or not.
  11. The US then executed the Germans for using cold bath techniques , techniques which they themselves now use.
  12. Verschärfte Vernehmung is what the gestapo called it, When brought to Trial the claim was that they were enemy combatants and weren't covered by law (this is ringing a lot of bells) Here is a link from 2009 i forgot i had read. http://www.theatlantic.com/daily-dish/archive/2007/05/-versch-auml-rfte-vernehmung/228158/
  13. So much crazy shit in here torturing their own moles without even realising it, what a bunch of feckwits.
  14. Another interesting stat form it * "Of the 119 known detainees that were in CIA custody during the life of the program, at least 26 were wrongfully held. Detainees often remained in custody for months after the CIA determined they should not have been detained." it's 6700 pages which will not be classified 545 that will. So less than 10% has been released.
  15. Well a certain soldier in Abu Ghraib has an interesting tattoo.
  16. http://www.intelligence.senate.gov/study2014/sscistudy1.pdf Sorry forgot to add in the actual report, this is only 25% of it, 75% is still not getting released. Hertscot , according to detainees british operatives were there during questioning, this is denied, Westminister gave them Prestwick to rendition this was also denied untill it wasn't. I "love" how the American security services think that morality is a field which changes depending on geography, we can't do it in mainland US as it's wrong, so we'll use Poland, Iraq, Cuba etc and it'll be alright. They were offering huge bounties and bounty hunters were just picking up anyone and dumping them into US control, basically kidnapping people with no due process then torturing them mentally and physically for a decade.
  17. Is out and it's grim as feck reading http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/10/world/senate-intelligence-committee-cia-torture-report.html Lying about information, using anal penetration with inanimate objects, just hoovering up anyone with no real evidence of crimes. threats of rape. Secret detention centres (rendition through Scotland we were lied about that at the time) so the rule of law could be subverted. Basically what was happening in Abu Ghraib prison, these techniques are normally reserved for "Foreign country A" in the "family of democracies" http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/3863235.stm " The US journalist who broke the Abu Ghraib scandal told the programme his sources confirm the presence of Israeli intelligence agents in Iraq. Seymour Hersh said that one of the Israeli aims was to gain access to detained members of the Iraqi secret intelligence unit, who reportedly specialise in Israeli affairs. " So seems the same practices used in Iraq have continued for years afterwards.
