Far be it from me to stick up for Rangers normally, but they’ve a much better record this year than Celtic have had in any season other than the unbeaten one. That doesn’t mean Celtic aren’t a shambles or that Lennon is an acceptable manager but Rangers need to be given a lot of credit for how consistent they’ve been.

This is a good question. Been wondering this for ages, and i don't know the answer. I had a look at the stats there, and it seems Ireland and Scotland have had roughly the same number of cases (155k and 153k), yet Scotland has had over twice the number of deaths. A higher rate of testing in Ireland doesn't explain it, as Scotland has completed more tests (3.6m to Ireland's 2.7m). My guess would be Ireland has better shielded the elderly population somehow?

if we carry on with the current formation with mctominay and tierney in a back three I would like to see them both have licence to attack. Whether that’s mctominay starting attacks through the middle and driving in to the opponents box or tierney overlapping Robertson wide on the left and getting to the bye line. Although not both at the same time. more often than not that will leave two centre half’s against an opposing centre forward with Ryan jack looking after the inside forward.

I mean, think about it, Westminster did not have to jump through hoops to hold their Brexit referendum. Scotland is a sovereign country yet has to ask permissions for a referendum whereas the UK (a conglomorate of countries) of which only a portion of that conglomorate wanted a referendum and it happened. Something seriously wrong there.

Maybe the independence movement would ideally have a leader who was not constrained by being First Minister (think much airtime Farage got, making innumerable promises without ever having the responsibility of power) but as long as NS is FM she is constrained by that role. That involves guiding the country through a national tragedy, and that requires a degree of restraint that may not please everyone but is necessary to not alienate people.
