  2. Far be it from me to stick up for Rangers normally, but they’ve a much better record this year than Celtic have had in any season other than the unbeaten one. That doesn’t mean Celtic aren’t a shambles or that Lennon is an acceptable manager but Rangers need to be given a lot of credit for how consistent they’ve been.

  3. Pennington's quoted either in the report itself or in the accompanying press release. No idea what he said but no doubt it was just a case of SNPBad. James Matthews from Sky asked the question - not a great couple of days for him - and quoted Pennington. The FM basically stuck the boot in by reminding everyone that Pennington was one of the people in the summer who were saying "the pandemic is over, why do we still have restrictions" - so basically, who'd take that muppet seriously. They were obviously expecting this to come up and were well prepared and booted it right out of the

  4. All that stuff relates to the civil service arm of government, not the political side. Even if true, it would reflect on Leslie Evans, not sure how it would be linked to the FM apart from indirectly given she's backed her. An awful lot of conjecture in there. Also looks like Alex Salmond is using Wings as a cut-out to leak stuff to.

  6. This is a good question. Been wondering this for ages, and i don't know the answer. I had a look at the stats there, and it seems Ireland and Scotland have had roughly the same number of cases (155k and 153k), yet Scotland has had over twice the number of deaths. A higher rate of testing in Ireland doesn't explain it, as Scotland has completed more tests (3.6m to Ireland's 2.7m). My guess would be Ireland has better shielded the elderly population somehow?

  10. Duffy is utter dung, he plays shite every week. A youngster would do no worse. Using your logic would mean.celtic could never give youngsters a chance because Celtic are always trying to win a title. Not that it matters,if young scottish players have any sense theyd get the fuck out of scotland and learn their trade in a better league. The scottish league is a laughable mess. Rangers in their pursuit of stopping ten in a row will not priorotise youth and celtic will be the same from now on. Scotland is back to the big two stopping each other at all costs. The other ten are just happy

  11. if we carry on with the current formation with mctominay and tierney in a back three I would like to see them both have licence to attack. Whether that’s mctominay starting attacks through the middle and driving in to the opponents box or tierney overlapping Robertson wide on the left and getting to the bye line. Although not both at the same time. more often than not that will leave two centre half’s against an opposing centre forward with Ryan jack looking after the inside forward.

  15. I mean, think about it, Westminster did not have to jump through hoops to hold their Brexit referendum. Scotland is a sovereign country yet has to ask permissions for a referendum whereas the UK (a conglomorate of countries) of which only a portion of that conglomorate wanted a referendum and it happened. Something seriously wrong there.

  16. Maybe the independence movement would ideally have a leader who was not constrained by being First Minister (think much airtime Farage got, making innumerable promises without ever having the responsibility of power) but as long as NS is FM she is constrained by that role. That involves guiding the country through a national tragedy, and that requires a degree of restraint that may not please everyone but is necessary to not alienate people. And so far it seems to be working. I get that the Stop Brexit may have alienated some, but I think it's too early to say it's been a failure. Obviou

  20. The decision to award lennon with a contract and a but at ten in a row was the start of their downfall. He is not and never has been a good manager. A competent manager would be level with the huns right now anf the OF fans would be creaming themselves about helicopter sundays.

  21. He is not wrong in what he is saying though. The conspiracist in me thinks Celtic never wanted to win the league. Just look at the goings on, it is a total shambles. On the plus side they probably speed the departure of Stevie G as he'll become a living legend for stopping 10IAR then trot off to England. Might be they see him as a threat...🤔
