If you think the Scottish are bad, you should see those Irish mob that turn up for Scottish league games... 😛

The narrative on Hampden Park is way out of line with reality. Terms like "Dilapidated" and "not fit for purpose" are pure hyperbole similar to a political rant on social media. It has positives and many inaccuracies in the current debate. Transport It has 2 train stations. 5+ public bus routes. Shuttle buses from Buchanan Bus Station. 1 hours walk from city centre. About £10 to £12 in a taxi. Every stadium has delays in getting 50k out after a game. Wembley, Ibrox, Parkhead, Murrayfield. There have all been delays when I visit them for football, rugby and concerts. Better planning by supporters would make their journey easier. Better communication on what is out there would also help. Pubs There are 20 pubs within a 30 minute walk of Hampden. More restaurants. About 10 bowling clubs. q nightclub. Lots of places for people to go before and after the game from traditional pubs to trendier bars in Strathbungo. On here it seems people congregate to the same 2 or 3 venues that cause chaos. Facilities Yes behind the goals is poor. That is one area that should be improved if financially possible. South Stand is superb. North Stand is decent with upgraded facilities from Glasgow 2014. What else do people want? A fan zone in Lesser Hampden would be very good especially for families and hopefully something there or in the car park would be used. Atmosphere In the past 15 years Netherlands, Germany, Ukraine, France, Italy, Spain, England even Poland were all games with big atmospheres. Late goals v Slovakia and Slovenia were outstanding. I've seen grown men bouncing out the stadium after a good result and heard roars that I don't get at my own club team. On the pitch and off the pitch combine to make the atmosphere. It can be good. It can be very good. Being in another stadium would not improve this. History It's our home. Spiritual home of Scottish football. Go the museum as it is brilliant and learn and remember the history of the place and our place in the global game. The unique setup of Scottish domestic football means we need a neutral venue for the Old Firm who will (unfortunately :-) ) be in many cup finals against each other. This is the way of the world. Why would you want money to be given to the 2 biggest clubs if we played there or to another sport at Murrayfield? Selfishly it also brings a lot of money to Glasgow which is where I live.

Evening All A few months back, when this new, bells-&-whistles version of the board was in its infancy, there was some discussion about whether the 'like' feature should be resurrected after a previous, disastrous attempt years ago (you could also 'dislike' posts in that version and it all ended in tantrums and tears - thanks Phart). I was agin it, due to the likelihood of normal message-board discourse being distorted by a flood of vacuous 'like-bait' posts (and because I knew I wouldn't be very popular). How wrong I was (apart from my relative lack of popularity). Instead of the board being awash with like-bait, we seem to be witnessing a wholly unexpected phenomenon - an Old-Firm-esque-of-yore domination of the TAMB league table by DoonTheSlope and Ormond. Now, I can think of three possible explanations for this: 1. Ormond and DTS continuously post fucking superb stuff that simply leaves the rest of us in the shade. 2. They have cunningly registered under alternative user-names with the sole purpose of liking themselves into a masturbatory orgy of apparent popularity. 3. There's a behind-the-scenes mutual liking going on that is quite frankly gay. And of course I don't mean 'gay' in the politically incorrect sense of mild disparagement; I mean full-on, mano-a-mano indulgence in the-love-that-once-dared-not-speak-its-name gay. Weighing up the probabilities, I think it's most likely option 1, in which case the rest of us need to up the quality of our posts. But I'm willing to be persuaded otherwise ... Edit: Perhaps we could have a poll?

Agreed, if we can play 12 players every game I think we will be in with a decent shout.

Murrayfield is a rugby stadium, it's not a good football stadium, it's not a great rugby stadium either and it's not our home. To remove us from Hampden would tear the heart out of the national side IMO. The SFA needs help, it needs torn apart and restructured tbh but we need our home and Murrayfield is not it.

Out of the door with socks after Christmas where people had obviously felt I warranted a gift but not any thought. A bizarre set I got included a pair for each day of the week with the day stated on the sole - as I have no intention of taking my shoes off in the office to utilise my feet as a diary system saw no benefit in maintaining these in pairs post first wear. Last week the boiler was on the blink so the house was freezing and my good wife was pure ganting for a heaty up to the point relations were permissible on a week night. I got to the bedroom to find the old nighty top still fully buttoned, woolly socks left on and granny belly snapping pants pulled to one side. It had been a fortnight so I wasn’t complaining and thought I too would get away with wearing socks for the forthcoming activity. Unfortunately my wife takes one look and flaps the Bridget pants back in to position ‘What are you doing?’ I was about to protest about her attire when she threw me off guard by jumping out of bed and rummaging in my sock drawer. ‘You know I’m OCD and your trying to sh@g me wearing a Monday sock and a Saturday sock on a Thursday – how did you ever think that was going happen!’ My hopes were momentarily raised when she found the second Saturday sock but it was paired with a Christmas tree. Knowing I’d put a Thursday in the wash on Wednesday I decided to just go sleep as it’d be a good hour before my sock drawer was in order.

The ongoing 3 way Groundhog Day style ‘twat off’ between Celitic, Aberdeen and Rangers fans on here has hit epic levels 😂 On today’s games, I’m not exactly Lennon’s biggest fan but his celebration after Hibs 5th was very funny 😂 fair play to him.

I can’t believe Robertson’s place in our team is even up for discussion. He should be the first name on the team sheet.

The less rangers fans in any stadium the better it is for all concerned. Well done hibs, I’d happily see Aberdeen give rangers even leas than they get now if we could get away with it.

Not this pish again . The only 'enemy of the cross' we should be talking about on here is James Forrest in a Scotland shirt.

Seems the utter incompetence and amateurism of the SFA has finally come home to roost. Look at what the Irish have lined up and the clarity they have shown in letting O’Neill know exactly how much they want him to stay, what plans they have and time he will get to see them through. Now compare and contrast to the total shambles, lack of plans and complete lack of any cohesion or professionalism demonstrated by the SFA and it’s virtually impossible now to see O’Neill swapping Northern Ireland for us. Why the hell would he even consider it? It would appear highly likely we’ll now end up with Lambert or, worse still, McLeish. No decent manager with any modicum of a reputation to protect is going to touch us with a bargepole given the (lack of) actions of the SFA since they sacked Strachan. The question of whether Strachan should have been sacked or not will always be a polarising one, but what cannot be argued is that they pulled the trigger with virtually no clue what they were going to do next. That was criminal and showed a complete abdication of responsibility and dereliction of duty. Where are we now then? Three months down the line and no further forward, in fact we’re actually further back with O’Neill having gone from hot favourite to being highly unlikely now to be appointed. The sad fact is I’m not sure I’d want any manager crazy enough to accept the job to actually be given it. It is now time for these cretins at the SFA to hand back their blazers and get as far away from our game as possible before they completely destroy it beyond any hope of repair (if they haven’t already). I’m utterly disgusted.

😀, only someone who has been through the pain of building a Barbie House can truly understand the joy that a mere 4 bolts can bring. Talking of presents, my grand Xmas surprise gift to Mr Tdyer went complety pearshaped. I couldnt think what to get him, after 37 yrs together I exhausted every interesting gift a while back, and he is now getting too old for flowery shirts from TKmaxx. However he got a wee bonus from his employers this month as he has worked there 20 yrs so I decided to go over the top and booked flights and a hotel for the Munich beer festival. Instead of just putting the flight tickets in an envelope I bought a Xmas box and thought I would put a beer steiner in it along with a german sausage and an A4 sheet with a picture of a german flag and adolf hitler, rolled up into a scroll. I hadnt got round to putting the box together and I came home the other night to find him sitting in the kitchen eating the bloody sausage! He had found it in the fridge. So I had to go out and buy another one and put the box together. I wanted him to open the sausage and flag/hitler scroll first, as the flight tix were in the beer steiner. So , xmas morning comes along and I am sitting excited about the present. My youngest daughter starts passing things out from under the tree and hands MrTdyer a card . He opens it and read out to us all, ‘merry xmas dad, you can spend these on your trip to Germany ! ‘ Aargh , my other daughter had bought him Euros and her present got opened first 😩 After all that planning, and to make matters worse when he opened my present he opened the beer steiner first so the sausage and scroll were a complete anti climax. Next year it will be a flowery shirt from Tkmaxx.

It can be dressed up, excused, called "understandable" or minimalised in any way folk like, but cutting away all the periphrastic commentaries ,one thing that is true is this:- Scotland fans booed a Scotland player, on his international debut, because of club-related issues. I don't think that's acceptable in any way, shape or form. Whether or not it has happened in days of yore or not. It was unacceptable then, and it's unacceptable now.
