  1. Past hour
  2. I'm not sure journalists are guilty here. I'd cast my suspicion more towards the authorities, i.e. the police and judiciary (certainly in the Tory westminster cases). The polis by their nature tend to be conservative. In Scotland that probably translates to unionism. For the SNP, I'm fairly sure the tents were theatre. 'Political policing' to borrow a phrase from Northern Ireland. The timing may well also fall under that description. We'll see how that plays out re the election. All that said, Murrell may well end up being found guilty. I imagine it'll all come down to whether the 600k indyref2 fund can be legally argued as separate to SNP funds (i.e. the crux of bawbag Sean Clerkin's complaint from 3 years ago).
  3. Today
  4. We just love a bit of infamy don't we? 😝
  5. Max Johnston came on for Sturm Graz the now.
  6. Man sets himself on fire outside Trump's trial... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-us-canada-68841535
  7. After a years investigation the timings a bit iffy, Westminster Tories up to their necks in sleeze with not much coverage/questions raised about it, certainly no police tents been put up outside any homes. The British puppet press should be ashamed to be called reporters, true reporters/press would be digging deep to find out what the Tory sleaze bags have been getting up to.
  8. Ooft. Every silver lining has a cloud, eh? Realistically, even if Hickey weren’t to make it (I think that he will), our squad is a still a good bit better than the last time we went to the euros.
  9. You live in Lille don't you? Nice city enjoyed the vibe for the friendly. McGinn plays too much football & might have benefitted from them going out but on the other hand going into the Euros in a happy place after lifting a European trophy & finishing in a champions League place might boost his form.
  10. Correct. We are the only country to have played at three Euros and not got out of our group once. (We are also the only country to have played at eight World Cups and never got further than the first round).
  11. Heard it talked about today…… that’s a fookin ridiculous rule! Maybe the result of the penalty kicks should not be carried forward to the result of the match?
  12. Feel similar. I think team maybe peaked last year when we also generally avoided any injuries (we had injuries for last 3 qualifiers but had qualified by then). We are not getting same luck injury wise at moment. Germany and Hungary looked ominously strong in March games as well, albeit I think any injury to Szoboszlai would knacker Hungary.
  13. Don't think any of the highland league sides are good enough to go up. Buckie will win the league unless they have a massive brain fart like they did against deveronvale and Lossiemouth. Keith are their local rivals bit I can't see them taking anything from Buckie. Buckie lost the league on the last match of the season against Brechin last season. They lost its to fraserburgh by only 3 points the season before that. Its theirs to lose now.
  14. I think Buckie will take it on GD - having Strathspey in their last 2 games was well planned eh; presume one of their earlier games were postponed? EK will beat Clyde/Stranraer should it be them, but I feel Clyde/Stranraer would topple the HL team. Mental, I know!
  15. Brechin definitely want to get back to league 2. I'm not 100% on my team fraserburgh. I'm not sure they have the finances to support being in league 2. They rely mainly on youth from their own setup which for a highland league team is very impressive. Don't know about Buckie, they can fuck off to the moon as far as im concerned. 😆
  16. Rainbow Greens petitioning their leaders to end Bute House agreement. The fact that they want to do this on the basis of pausing puberty blockers rather than on the abandonment of some key net zero targets (which you'd think was a priority for environmentalists) says a lot about the priorities of some in the Green party.
  17. Proper title race that. The chatter on the grapevine is Buckie and Fraserburgh wouldn't be too interested in promotion but obviously as an ex-SPFL club, Brechin are very keen to get back to League Two. Any insights into this VDA? Tomorrow all three sides will be going for it in order to win the Highland League. Whomever it is would be a large underdog to East Kilbride in the playoff. Let's see how it all plays out.
  18. I completely agree. I was saving for a new bigger TV to enjoy with the tournament but since our recent results and now the injuries my optimism has gone right out the window. I dont want to suffer embarrassment and have buyers remorse. Lets correct that unfortunate typo on BIGGER
  19. I haven't done the necessary leg work but I reckon, statistically, this game is the most Scotland have dominated any team in virtually every statistic since, well, ever 🤔 Yet still we lost, football eh!?
  20. Talking of sinking... could this be a human manoeuvre as well as in snooker?
  21. If I had to pick my squad today, with injuries/fitness and form as it is ...here is my squad. GK - Gunn, Gordon, Clarke DF - Robbo, Tierney, Porteous, Hickey, McKenna, Henry, Hanley, Doig, McCrorie MF - Gilmour, McGregor, McTominay, McGinn, Christie, Armstrong, Fraser, McLean FWD - Shankland, Adams, Dykes If I can bring 26 - Gauld, Morgan, Conway Not going to make it - Ferguson, Paterson I think both miss out. I won't bring Taylor, who IMO hasn't let us down, but I am investing in Doig for the future. For my Right backs - I considered Ashby, McCrorie, Ralston and Cadden but I went with form and as I expect to be able to bring 26 I chose McCrorie he has a working relationship with Conway. Ralston isn't getting much game time. Fraser comes in with experience, hopefully a wiser head and for his form. Hanley I am brining him, with the expectation his fitness improves in the next two months. Gauld and Morgan have good form, and I am needing some different options from the beach as I think teams might have figured us out.
  22. Have to admit my excitement for the euros has rapidly decreased in the last few weeks with the recent results and injuries starting to mount. There will be more injuries to come before the seasons out to key players I’d be willing to bet. I really thought Ferguson was going to make a big impact and I genuinely thought this was our moment to get out of the group when we qualified but I’d be surprised if we get anything more than 1 point the way things are which will be another disaster - we cannot afford not to get out of the group stages, I believe we possibly hold a record in that respect. Feels like things are hanging by a thread.
  23. 😂😂🤣🤣 really, I can’t blame you for thinking that given how ludicrous the party has become but sadly that has more to do with the greens than the British state!
  24. I wasn’t belittling your childhood experience, more making the point that it takes the same number of idiots to chuck a CS gas canister as it does to jam a pint glass in someone’s face. Labelling an entire supporter base as scum because of it is grossly unfair on the vast majority of decent fans. I will however apologise for calling you a dick, that was unnecessary.
  25. 😁 Even his policies back then would fit in well with current B'stards! Wonder who could play him now...It would be hard to write ridiculous material that outdid the last 14+ years (think that's why Armando Iannucci stopped writing the likes of Veep/The Thick of It).
