Dundee United were deducted three points last season for exactly this offence.  Presumably because of the 100 year old Irish connection.

I've never understood the need to form these connections with other clubs.

Funny as feck reading though:lol::lol:

We've had the opposite down our way in the South of Scotland Football League.

The winners this season (License permitting) were guaranteed to go up to the Lowland League as no licensed club could win the East of Scotland League.

Upon this information being released, Wigtown and Bladnoch - who up until this point were undefeated - have suddenly hit a dodgy patch allowing Edusport Academy to reach for the summit.  Wigtown and Bladnoch have admitted the additional costs in moving up to the Lowland League would cripple them, and ultimately would rather take a financial penalty than move up.

That would make sense geographically but would leave both Highland and Lowland leagues with an odd number of teams.

No chance Buckie will go up.

Zero desire within the club to go up.

Half the squad is on a stag-do for the first leg of the playoffs, and a wedding for the second leg.

Almost free money backing EK.

Sounds like half a team of boring bastards.

Why they not all going?

I expect an extra team would be promoted.  Happens everywhere when they are regionalised leagues.
