Martin63
Very sad - Motorhead was my second gig. Fearsome! March 1978. I'd never expected Lemmy to outlive Phil. My face Motorhead track - great lyrics

Robroysboy
RIP, rock n roll legend. Ace of spades must be one of the all time classics. To make seventy with that lifestyle was good going.

northernscum
Reading between the lines, he obviously decided he was going to take matters into his own hands about when and how he died. He only found out on boxing day he had an aggressive form of cancer which would take him within 6 months. His manager was on 5 Live this morning, gently berating him for not allowing everyone to say their goodbyes personally.
Martin63
Jeez - now Lemmy too. Farewell boys. You left one hell of a great legacy
Mindimoo
I knew it was Lemmy that sang on that but somewhere along the line I always imagine it's Ozzy singing it.
Martin63
I knew it was Lemmy that sang on that but somewhere along the line I always imagine it's Ozzy singing it. Mr Kilminster himself. He was not usually the Hawkwind front man and it resulted in much jealousy from other band members as it made no 3 in the UK charts - a pretty big deal for what was a pretty underground band. He was nicked for possession of amphetamines by the Canadian police and missed a gig so he was then given the boot from the band .....for taking the wrong kind of drugs!
