Andy North Croy
Heading to Ibrox tomorrow with the boy, as I have done for years now, however despite a cracking team in Scotland colours I can't ever remember ever having felt so downbeat about the match. After the Referendum I'm still crushed and to be honest a bit embarrassed about being "Scottish".....whatever the f*ck that means nowadays. The Poland away trip was a possibility but that's been ditched for a family holiday, the England home match is a definite non-starter due to listening to 90 mins of laughter coming from their fans....oh, and the ticket prices. Ah'm scunnered, p*ssed off and probably depressed................
thplinth
Even if I had a ticket for Ibrox, which I don't, I wouldn't go. Does that make you feel any better?
Andy North Croy
Not really, I want the team to win every game....but the whole Referendum situation has me on a complete downer which I'm finding difficult to recover from. I'm very bitter to the "no" voters as I know they are soooo wrong but cannot or do not want to see it.

Guest flumax
Very similar position. If it wasn't for investment in train, hotel and ticket. I wouldn't be going I've warned everyone in my group, If anyone mentions constitutional affairs tomorrow im walking out the pub and catching the next train north. The worst feeling is I actually resent the "national" football team, the sfa, spfl, etc. I feel that these few institutions such as these appease many and make us feel like a real country when we are not. If there was no sfa, sru, structures we'd have no status in the international arena and people may have craved for it more. I'll see how a feel when I pull on the top and head down to Hampden.... Nope fecking ibrox of all places, but I'm not up this what so ever. If you see a grumpy git On the Aberdeen to Glasgow train in about 2h with a carry out, it is likely me. Lion Rampant
I'm looking forward to tomorrow although I think that is mainly because i'm meeting up with friends and going for a few beers before the game. Hoping that after a few drinks we'll all get really into the game and I can enjoy it. Hoping for a good win so we can have a good night out afterwards

I did not have the 'up fer it' attitude, so decided to put on some old DVDs & Tunes. All I can say it comes flooding back. Mon the country. Argentina78
I agree Andy, but our time WILL come! My prediction of a Tory UKIP coalition next May looks like coming true! The SNP will win more seats and then surely Scots will realise that Independence is the only way! Let's back our national team to qualify for Euro 2016 in the meantime to give us something to look forward too!

The more MPs we get in Westminster the more chance we have, so let's all back the SNP next May and see where it takes us?
Sherriffatman
My mrs sent me a Text today. To be fair I was already up for it . But made me even more so. - I'm right fired up for this tomorrow! I can't wait! We're going to need to play a blinder and shock everyone. Bang in the goals, come out on top and have everyone feeling the pride. I'm singing flower of Scotland at the top of my lungs. I'm proud to be someone who wanted this nation to stand on its own two feet, regardless of the challenges we would have faced. I wanted a better country for my daughter and her peers. I wanted a better country for the future generations. A socialist country for us all to be proud of. No one being left behind. I am proud to have stood up and been counted. Mon the 45!!!!!!! I was feeling the same as this, having campaigned for Yes, however came to the conclusion that it's OUR team. For a variety of reasons the vote went the way it did, however I am convinced we will win...eventually Fully appreciate for some folk football and politics don't mix. For me I can't separate the two but I won't ram it down the throat of people I know who voted No Edited October 10, 2014 by islayscot

thplinth
The very reason Scotland are the perennial underperformers is because of the 55. alx
Bit depressed myself. Think I'll stay quiet during FOS, maybe a bit too soon for reclaiming the song. 80K membership on twitter for SNP tonight was a bit uplifting though. My England ticket may go to someone who wants it more though. 45. Edited October 10, 2014 by alx
