Just found out vaccinations are required for both countries and I may have left it too late.

Anybody any information on this?

I've done a lot of work travel in Asia the last few years so have everything apart from the Yellow fever vaccination, but won't be heading out to any of the regions in Peru where it is needed / recommended.

Thanks for your help guys it looks like I have left it too late as next the travel clinic appointment is next Thursday - ans thats just for a consultation - so I may have to write the trip off.

Steve, you seem quite familiar with the process. Are the vaccinations compulsory to enter the country and how high is the risk?

I am guessing they may want to see a medical certificate on arrival?

I don't have vaccinations, and I don't have any certificates.

None of my group do.

I'm not going into jungle, and I don't plan to indulge in any 'straight-from-bum-to-mouth' activities.

I'm only worried about being robbed by a fake taxi when I struggle to find my way back drunk to my accommodation in Mexico.

You won‘t get asked for any certificates or proof. Some countries (think they’are all in Africa) require certificates if an entry stamp of a declared yellow fever country is in your passport.
